Got our membership three weeks ago to start getting back in shape and do rehabilitation after some health issues/physical injuries. Really happy with our choice! We go during the day(late morning/early afternoon), so there's not much of a crowd if any. Can't speak for evening crowds.
The staff has always been helpful and friendly, and the facility is kept really clean. I have no idea what the people who said there are "dirty" people leaving bugs in the shower and the place is full of homeless people are talking about. We haven't seen any of that. We've seen mostly older/retired folks and people with little ones.
Any issues or questions we've had have been dealt with quickly, and we've found it overall a supportive and inviting environment.
The gym area is mostly people focusing on their own workout, though the few we've chatted with have been nice enough(we were focusing on our workout, too, so chat is kept to a minimum).
Overall, as I said, happy with our decision to choose this location. Has everything we need, and the level of ADA accessibility and accommodation is wonderful for my disabled wife.

Nice clean facility. But the selling point for me was the diving board. Unfortunately, you cannot do any backflips. Basically taking half the fun out of using it . I understand safety. But diving boards are used for this regularly. They offer no advanced time as well for the diving board when I asked.

LOVE the update. I took a 5 month old swimming in the wading pool on a Tuesday evening in the winter and it was just about empty! The locker rooms and family changing rooms were very clean, the pools were clean, the floors of the pool deck were clean. I was surprised to see a steam room, sauna and hot tub! The fitness/ gym area looked great as well. The staff was friendly and helpful as well!

I’ve been to a lot of gyms with varying characters but this location takes the cake for being a cesspool of disgusting behavior that staff does nothing to educate or discipline.

From poor gym etiquette to out right misogynistic harassment it’s out of control.

I have seen an older man in a lap pool trying talking to women who when ignored began swearing and spat in their lane. Men approaching women at the fitness area when not wanting their attention then getting aggressive and today…

Today a man was out right recording people in the pool, I was about to approach lifeguards to report this when a woman came to them and reported the behavior. The lifeguards did nothing. They looked at him and talked to someone else in higher command but it appeared they did not want to approach him. I decided to get out of the pool and leave. As I was leaving, the woman was then reporting this to the front desk and I overheard them tell her that “they were sorry and would next time talk to the person but they assumed he wasn’t a member and only there on the free week”….

This “logic” is how this behavior continues to carry on with this kind of complacency.
I enjoy coming to this location as it’s conveniently close but the past few months I’ve seen so much disgusting trash come and go that it is becoming hard to stomach. How parents can bring their kids here is beyond me and terrifying.

But hey, they have a free raffle for a free e-bike!

So lucky to have this amazing swim center in our neighborhood! Lovely people working there, such nice locker rooms, with plenty of super clean lockers and showers. This place isn't kid friendly at all! Head life guard kept eyeing us down the whole time...told my kids how jump off the diving board, couldn't play in the pool. Everything we were doing wasn't dangerous or concerning! Always staring at us... Even on her break told us not to eat on the picnic tables. We've been coming to this pool for a while now doing the same thing we have been doing, no one said anything. Made my 4 year old cry and he's just learning to swim. Shame!

UPDATE 9/27/2024: The Swim & Fitness center was recently remodeled over the spring/summer this year. The new main entrance and reception desk are  level with the pool and locker rooms now. The lobby has plenty of chairs and small side tables. The main entrance and lobby are all lit with natural light from large windows during the day, and well placed interior lighting in the evenings.

The lockerooms and pool are still the same. Everything looks clean and taken care of, and staff are just as friendly as ever. If you haven't been by yet, you should come in and see what classes they offer and take a dip in the pool or sit in the steam room.

Purchased a membership purely to swim. The three times I went, I was able to swim once due to a packed pool. They need to specify better on the website when lessons are held and when kids will be there. I even called them on the phone this last time and they told me it wasn't busy, but when I arrived not a single lane was available. Unless you're retired/unemployed, there are minimal opportunities to get a lane. I think this is how it is at most aquatic facilities in larger cities due to too many people and not enough space. I am really sad because all I wanted to do was swim.

DO NOT go here if you are an athlete looking for a place to train/swim. The entire facility is filled with old men who use this place as their personal sauna/steam room to hangout and stare at any women that step foot in here. The men's locker room is constantly occupied by old naked men who use the facility as their own personal bathroom; they shave their entire bodies at the sink, use the hand dryers to dry their clothes and just hangout doing nothing fitness related. I have no clue how most of these people are even allowed in this place, they do not swim, they do not lift, and have no business even being there. The pool is disgusting; its always cloudy, filled with little kids, filled with hair and anything you can imagine. The bathrooms are always filthy. THE CLIENTEL HERE IS TRASHY. The only good thing about this place is that the staff is very friendly.

I've been going to this place for over a decade. Good for the whole family for swimming. Also a really good gym that is way cheaper to use compared to a normal gym, even if smaller in comparison. They also have a basketball place that's pretty good, as well as sometimes badminton in there, I would recommend bringing your own basketball though.

I USED to absolutely LOVE this pool. I literally raved to anybody about how I found the perfect pool. Even after I moved 20 minutes away, and there were much closer pools, I kept going I loved it so much. That’s why I give it 2 stars, instead of 1 based on the below.
I would say, I strongly don’t recommend going in the summer if you like to swim laps. Since school got out, whenever I’ve gone that isn’t first thing in the morning, I’ll try to swim laps and there has been anywhere from 2-8 children just chilling in your lane with you. I would have been there first, and they just decide to come in the lane too. There’s an entire kids pool, and then in the regular pool, there’s a huge free swim area, but yet, most of the children insist on just playing in the lanes. This happened to multiple other people, not just me. I’d try to swim back stroke, and I’d end up running into kids as they wouldn’t move. I told them that the lanes are for laps, and if they want to play, there was a huge area open for them. Did they care? No. Did any of their parents tell them to respect people’s space? No. Did any of the life guards intervene (especially as these kids can get hurt getting ran into by people swimming backstroke that don’t know the kids are there)? No. At one point the last time I went, there were about 20 children dispersed over the 5 lap lanes with the poor 5 of us trying to swim laps, and only 4 children in the huge free swimming area.

Primarily this is the parents fault. They obviously don’t care about teaching their children to respect other people’s space. But also, if the facility isn’t going to uphold the literal point of having lanes, they should just get rid of the lanes all together.

I cancelled my monthly pass. What’s the point of paying every month if you spend half the time trying to watch out for kids, stopping to avoid running into them, and not getting a decent work out in.

Excellent customer service every day of the week. It has a smaller baby pool that splits with a 3.5 foot slightly heated pool for the younger kids. A really big multi lane lap pool with a free swim lane at the end. A big 12 foot deep section with a diving board. Hot tub and sauna. This is just the aquatics area! After looking on google that the closing time being 6pm on sat. Its about a 45 min. driclve from the rec center we usually use, that closes at 4pm. We decided to make the 45 min trek down the mountain to get maybe an hour swim in. But unfortunately they close at 5pm. We talked with a very nice gentleman Steven. Because the way he addressed this issue we would like to leave a 3 star reveiw, 5 stars if the time would have been correct. His customer service excelled any expectation of bringing up this issue to him. After a short conversation he said he will address the issue with the proper channels to look into the issue. I have been here many times. I used to bring my daughter for swim classes. She passed the first two levels but then the corona hit, so they shut down. But, she is a great swimmer now because of the amazing folks here. THEY ARE FULLY OPEN NOW! They have a nice weight room and cardio room. Also a splash pad outside. Also racquetball courts. They are located in the neighborhood area on Irvine and 76th. So if you're in the neighborhood it is a short walk or drive. Also you get a price savings if you are a Westminster resident. All of the staff is helpful and very friendly. It is $339 for a year for adult residents and $199 for youth, if you want to use just their facility. Or else it is $50 and $60 respectively if you want to use the other four or five facilities in the area, which I think is totally worth it. ( See my review on City Park fitness center). (Also all prices I mentioned now are current to date, check with local listings). Get healthy be strong!
