Got a massage last night in the wood room, would for sure recommend Lizzie she did an amazing job releasing me in my pressure points. Never tried yoga there but would for sure give it a go. Overall great place and vibe about it. Very easy to relax

DO NOT GO HERE.
When I went to a class, the teacher non consensually sprayed everyone with an essential oils mixture during shavasana (we were laying in aerial silks and she sprayed everyone directly and individually with no warning at all) this sounds so woowoo but this spray had detrimental effects on my spiritual and emotional health and I’m still dealing with these effects months later. Either way, touching anybody with anything non consensually is absolutely NOT okay. Do yourself a favor and do not go here. Try out Black Swan yoga, it’s just down the street!

I visited five different studios before finding my home at Yoga Center of Denver. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcome. The space has such a warm, authentic energy that’s hard to find these days. It doesn’t feel corporate at all; it feels whole, intentional, and supportive.
I first took a class with Ashlynn, which was wonderful, and then joined the Summer Solstice Stillness class with Sarah and Tiff. That experience was truly special. Sarah’s reiki is incredible. Her touch helped clear so much energy instantly, and I left feeling lighter and more grounded. The sound bowls from Tiff added such a beautiful, healing layer to the practice.
I’m so grateful to have found this studio, and I can’t wait to return for more.

🧘🏼♀️💫🧚 My training with the Yoga Center of Denver was so beautiful and profound. My teachers were nothing short of amazing! 🩷 I learned so much about myself and the depths of yoga itself. I am also incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful group of people to learn alongside. 🙏 The love and support that I received does not go unnoticed. I feel honored to announce that I will be offering a community gentle flow on Wednesdays at noon. 🌱 Feel free to come and move with me! 🌞

We found this place by accident while driving home during a snow storm earlier this winter and we just fell in love with this studio.

I'm so happy I found this studio! These are the best yoga classes I've taken, and I love the variety of classes offered at different times that accommodate my work schedule. It's a very welcoming, calming space - not intimidating at all. I just purchased a class pack and am excited to start coming more regularly.

The yoga classes are great. The instructors are knowledgeable. The space is fantastic.
Let me tell you where 2 stars comes from…
First of all when you’re sick don’t show up. When you’re getting over a sickness, don’t show up. When you think you might be sick, don’t show up. If one of your kids is sick, but you’re not sick yet… Don’t show up!
I’ve been a Fitness and yoga instructor for 21 years and that is always been priority number one. When the instructor is sick, we don’t make money. When the students are sick, we don’t make money!
The instructors at the yoga center of Denver, have an obligation to keep their students safe and healthy when they enter their classroom when someone is coughing kindly ask them to leave. It is not rude. It is not unkind. Everyone in the class will be grateful that you did it.
Do not ask them to “get into a tight circle”for a deeper spiritually positive whoo whoo connection. If someone wants to distance themselves, they have their reasons! And what’s unique about this place is that its classrooms are so big that in some classes, the students can spread out and have a safe distance from breathing other peoples potentially sickness. The instructors here need to take advantage of that!
With that said, the woman who was coughing next to me, gave me sinusitis and pneumonia. I imagine there being more than one person in that class who contracted this! It’s brutal. Worse than Covid… And I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
It’s flu season. Be better

I drove down from Boulder to attend class at the Yoga Center of Denver and it was as great as I heard it to be. I loved the layout, the multiple themed rooms, the woodwork, aesthetic, vibe… I heard the owner and her husband spent several years building it out and they did all the interior design and construction themselves, just wow! You can feel their hearts in the space. And the teacher Sarah Zupek was so attuned, radiant, grounded, and clear. Not to mention her super skillful lead up to the peak pose. She prepared us perfectly for it. I was blown away by how unaffected the studio is by the construction out front. It’s wild to go from outside to inside…a complete juxtaposition of experience. That says a lot about a studio… I highly recommend!!

I am new to the Yoga Center of Denver, but already I have found it to be a warm and hospitable place to practice. The teachers range from to recently graduated students of the 200 hour training program to having decades of experience in Iyengar Yoga. I like taking classes with both newer and experienced teachers because they bring different energy to the classes. The physical space they have created there is awesome too. The rooms for classes are nicely decorated making it easy to drop into asana practice.

Nicole is the face and first impression of the studio, and she has completely transformed my view of yoga. I had previously taken random yoga classes but never felt comfortable in the environment. It often felt intimidating, as if I were intruding in someone else’s space. From the first time I did a drop-in, Nicole made me feel genuinely welcomed and excited to be there. Her warmth and sincerity encouraged me to commit to a 3-day pass, which I used leisurely, still feeling hesitant. However, every greeting from Nicole eased my anxiety and made me feel relaxed being there. She truly embodies a warm, genuine energy that is hard to put into words. Now, with a monthly pass completed, I eagerly look forward to each session. Even when I feel like a fish out of water, I know I will be met with kindness and authenticity from Nicole, who perfectly captures the essence of the studio.

Love Devin’s Yin Meditation on Wednesdays, and Anara’s Restorative Iyengar Yoga on Thursdays!!!! I was looking for meditative yoga, rather than athletic yoga. I get the meditative from Devin and Anara still challenges me physically, even though it is called “restorative “, every week. The Yoga Center of Denver has it all, and despite how close it is to major roads, the atmosphere inside I peaceful and serene. The people are warm, inclusive and loving.

EDITED- there was resolution here.
I have to update my review. This studio charged me for ten classes despite making several direct inquiries about my account. They also charged me for classes that had happened in the past. The office is totally unresponsive.
I value Amanda's instruction a lot. It has provided me with relief from chronic pain and has made mental management easier. She is attentive without being overbearing. Nothing is too hokey. At first I wished the class used fewer props, but I've come to greatly appreciate the way they can modify poses.

I've been an Iyengar student at the Yoga Center of Denver for about 12 years, which is now under an inspired new ownership. The building has been
beautifully renovated and new courses like aerial yoga amplify the traditional Iyengar offerings . New teachers are onboard and old favorites , like KLea Gifford, Lisa Wolff, and Craig Kurtz are making appearances on zoom and off. I am especially enjoying studying with Anara Sambayeva , who herself studied with great Russian teachers. She is deeply supportive of every student and enthusiastic, too, but adds a touch of traditional strictness that I appreciate, too. Of course some of the great old favorites like Gary and Donita Reitze and Angie Woyar are providing new offerings like Ropes and therapeutic classes. Brad Dunning is also an astute new presence, devoted to seniors who can use tender loving care..

Having done many forms of yoga over the past 20 years, this is the only form where the teachers are properly trained, the yoga is appropriate for all ages and all body types, and there are proper modifications for all body issues so no one gets hurt. It may not be as glamorous as core power or hot yoga but it certainly is more safe and effective at improving flexibility, strength , and stability. I highly recommend this form of yoga for people of all ages including the elderly and cannot praise the teachers at this studio enough.

Mr. McEllen's review is surprising. The instructor, Lisa, and an assistant were very helpful and attentive in the group class. I think if Mr McEllen was slightly more assertive, he'd have received the personal attention he seems to expect. There were no more than 9 people in my group class.
I called in January. I was diagnosed with a serious chronic autoimmune disease that affected my nervous system and muscle function. I was referred to Lisa, one of the owners. She started me on private lessons due to my situation. Over the last seven months she has helped me prepare for a double surgery (which cured my disease); she was extremely conscientious about my issues, injuries and limitations. After surgery we worked around the affected areas and with great benefit.
I had also suffered from chronic lower back pain for most of the past four years. The slightest things would set it off.
I attended my first public/group yoga class ever yesterday. Lisa was the instructor. I am back pain (and pain med) free for almost 4 months; and more mobile than I've been in many years. For $10-16/class, I don't think I've ever had a better return from anything I've ever done before...ever! This is a no brainer: well trained, caring and dedicated instructors.

Went in for a Level 1 class with Lisa Beckwith Wolf, was my first time at this studio. As I looked up directions I thought I would check out reviews, and found a negative review for this teacher and thought maybe I signed up for the wrong thing. Went to the class and must say my experience was very positive. The person up front was very helpful and guided me to their change room, water fountain, bathroom and the room the class would be in. The students there were very nice, you could tell they were regulars, they pointed out what props are normally used, where to leave your stuff, which way to setup. Worth mentioning is that I asked these questions, but the people there were very helpful. Lisa was very thorough, asked about injuries, and was very attentive to the students. She was very knowledgeable and cued me more than a few times to improve the pose I was in. The class overall was very much alignment based, which is exactly what I was looking for. I really enjoyed it and hope to go back soon.

I went to the denver iyengar center for the first time unfamiliar with their system, my instructor was Lisa Beckwith Wolf, everyone was chatty with instructor and each other. As a new person I felt ignored, I walked in on a clique and wasn't welcome. I thought someone might say who is this guy who doesn't know what he is doing. Then I just got smart ass answers to legitimate technical questions. I felt they could have done a better job to accommodate a new person and make them feel welcome

This studio is the largest Iyengar Center in Denver! Who is Iyengar? B.K.S. Iyengar is one of the most influential yoga teachers of the 20th century. This center has an amazing list of instructors who on average have 20+ years experience in the Iyengar yoga system. BACK CARE class on Wed. nights is my favorite!
