Janelle is personable, grounded, and hard core! She always leads a challenging class that is suitabe for all yogis and meets them anywhere in their practice. She brings the community together and encourages growth and strength. I LOVE taking Janelles class, it is a highlight of my week.

This is a not your average yoga studio. There is a reason it is the most popular studio in an area that offers lots of yoga.
The 30th street studio, combined with the South Boulder studio offers an exceptionally wide array of class styles and WELL TRAINED teachers. If you are like me, and do not like hot yoga, there are enough classes that are normal temperature -- every day I have lots of choice.
Unlike other studios, where the teacher styles and skill levels are all over the place, It seems Yoga pod excels at making room for a variety of teacher styles and personalities, while maintaining a sense of cohesiveness in the Yoga-Pod approach.
Students can expect an unusually high teacher level of both yoga-skill and friendliness/openness, strong encouragement of inner-listening combined with great modeling of proper form, authentically conveyed thought of the day that ground one's intention and focus, ... across all classes.
I have been there several months. EVERY teacher is well trained. When there is a new teacher in the room I look forward to their unique style, knowing i can count on a solid foundation of how to communicate embodied yoga.
I am particularly enjoying Jesse and Caitlin this. month... but all of them are soooo good that, at different times in my almost daily multi year practice, I gravitate toward different teachers... which keeps the experience fresh.
The only negative part of my experience is on site: temperature control widely varies. Room temp yoga is often too hot from the prior class or from hot air seeping in from adjacent room.
If. you tend to ZOOM your classes, as I do because I live 1/2 the time in another state... there are quite a few zoom challenges. But if you are an in-studio student... this place is fantastic.
i love that they have a fairly strong ZOOM yoga program... allowing me to stay more consistent in my practice (since I live in 2 places and travel often). This is pretty rare in a Yoga Studio.

YogaPod is great. There are so many classes, 3 key locations, all the instructors really care and put their hearts into each class. You can really feel the community vibe. And it's great to be like rolling around w nothing to do and pull up the app and see what class you can go to and like pop right in and boost your vibe for the day. I've been going at it for 3 months straight almost every day and always finding new challenges and new directions in the poses thanks to the supportive teachers. And now that it's getting cold I recommend the hot classes. So hot. Oh yeah, and the yoga rooms and locker rooms are always clean and it's great to take a shower there after a challenging class!

Excellent studio, with great heat and teachers! I am a Bikram student, but have been unable to find a good Bikram studio here in Boulder. Yoga Pod is a wonderful alternative! Their heat is excellent and very consistent, and their teachers are strong and encouraging. I have been very impressed with Yoga Pod for over two years now! Highly recommend! They also offer PodFit classes, which feature HIT training, and these classes are likewise very worthwhile and consistent!

I attended two workshops this weekend at Yoga Pod Boulder with Kali Basman on the shoulder girdle and the pelvic region. So much great info on anatomy, chi flow, breath, practical poses to stretch, strengthen the regions. Slide and glide were covered and are gems I will incorporate into my daily practice. Kali is fantastic and whether you are a yogi, yoga teacher, athlete or just a human wanting to learn more these sessions were a wealth of knowledge. I hope she does more in the future. Too many nuggets of info to cover in this review.

I was surprised to see so many identity and sexuality flags displayed at the front desk. Most people come for yoga and the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere it offers, and I think the focus should stay on that. Boulder is already known for being inclusive, so extra emphasis on political or social symbols can feel out of place in a business setting. A yoga studio should feel centered on the practice itself, not on virtue signaling and identity statements. Peace and love.

I have been going to The Yoga Pod since it opened. I tried other places, but this is the studio that resonates with me. It is my sanctuary and wonderful on so many levels. The owners, Gerry and Nicole Wienholt have created an incredible environment. It's so much more than just an exercise class, it's a community. The wonderful teachers have extensive training and have graciously given me modifications when I have needed them. They are always available for help and instruction. The Yoga Pod is a wonderful place to find your zen, it is also great for smiling, laughing, and making friends. The instructors personalities come out in their varied music choices and their flow. If it's a workout you are looking for, you will certainly get it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this studio, it's inspiring on every level. Erin Pass, L.Ac., Dipl. C.H. Acupuncture Clinic of Boulder, Inc.

Realized today marked my 200th class so thought it was time to leave a review:
I am a serious devotee to group fitness in the class format, and I have never found as high quality of classes as at yoga pod. Although being a member with unlimited, I only ever take Pod Fit because I love that it is every type of workout in an hour (or even 45 minutes!) I can do lots of cardio, strength, core, Pilates type exercises, yoga .. all in one very challenging and energizing class.
I mostly go to Derise and Lauren’s classes who are extremely talented, kind, inclusive, and always put together a great class. Although I will say, I have never been to pod fit instructor’s class I didn’t like! You can’t lose.
Thank you yoga pod, thank you Lauren, Derise, Lisa, Elizabeth, Ashleigh, Paula, and Stacie!
PS: you get a FREE mat if you BIKE to the studio! This was originally the reason I signed up because I am an exclusively bike commuter! Love it!!!

I recently moved to CO and have tried over 15 different gyms over 3 months, and this has been my favorite by far. I like the range of classes they offer from Yin to more intense flows to strength classes. I need it all. Further, their instructors are incredible--special shout out to my favorites so far Lauren C, Bri L, Adam S, and Christine D. They are so knowledgeable, their cues are so clear, and their sequences are built masterfully. I've never been to a studio where they provide a consistent excellent experience across class types and among different instructors. Finally, the cost of a membership is very accessible compared to other workout places and yoga studios in the area. Definitely take advantage of their intro offer and membership!

I didn't get to try the yoga, so I can't speak to the quality. But that's the issue, I didn't get to try the yoga. I came 10 minutes ahead of time (and my friend 15 minutes) to try a 3:30pm class. It took me weeks to find a time when I could come ahead of time and had the mental energy to try a new spot, that's how long I was thinking about trying this place.
The people at the front desk went back and forth for the duration of that time on whether or not they had a spot for us, finally concluding at 3:30pm that they did not, then asked us to return at 6pm. I appreciated that the woman was trying to problem solve, but I work full-time and am a single mother. I am neither a retiree nor a college student. I have to squeeze time in for myself, and when I have it, I have to jump on it. I can't plan ahead of time, get turned away, try again another time or day. My life doesn't work that way. My favorite yoga studios in past years were ones that were unassuming, great quality, and I could count on.
This seems like a spot for those with more flexibility, time and fixed schedules than I have. So if that works for you, great! Perhaps for those of us that need a spot that is open-door and available when you spontaneously have the time, maybe not so much?

My fiancé and I are newer to the studio(s), and Yoga Pod has quickly become my home away from home! All of the teachers are wonderful, the studios are clean and beautiful, and there’s a nice variety of class offerings. Gerry Wienholt, owner of Pep Impact and cofounder of the Yoga Pod, has had a profound influence on my life. Gerry takes the time to truly understand you as an individual, helping you define your personal mission, vision, and values.
I hired him to assist in building a cohesive team at the Acupuncture Clinic of Boulder. Gerry guided my staff in fostering unity, understanding the power of language, and gaining clarity about their personal goals, our practice's vision, and their future aspirations.
Through his teachings, I’ve embraced a mindset of abundance that has enabled me to bring out the best in my team. I continue to apply his lessons during staff meetings and use his philosophies to guide how I manage our practice.
If you’re looking to gain deeper self-awareness, find inspiration, and elevate your personal and professional growth, I highly recommend signing up for Gerry’s upcoming class.

This was the best class I’ve been to in years! I was nervous coming in, having not done a hot class in many month, but Jai created such a comfortable environment- I felt at home. His words were deeply inspiring during practice and continue to resonate off the mat. His tone guided me towards compassion and connection (to myself, to my classmates, to the Universe, to ecology, to All). His cues led me to deepen my postures in a way I previously thought unattainable!
All achieved through a necessary promotion of shared humanity? kinship? mutual respect? fun? love!?
Thank you, very much ☮️

If you're thinking about starting yoga, I double-downward-dog dare you to try Yoga Pod.
I came here by accident and stayed on purpose. Long story truncated: My friend asked me to meet her at Yoga Pearl; I thought she said Yoga Pod.
I showed up at the Pod, realized my mistake, but it was too late to go meet her at the other studio. I had not taken a yoga class in 10+ years (even then, I wasn't an avid goer) but I wound up staying for a Pod class with the gentle encouragement of someone at the front desk (Jade?). That was 3 or 4 months ago. I'm hooked.
I'm so grateful for the kindness of people at the front desk and attentiveness of the instructors.
Also important to note (for me, at least), the cleanliness of Yoga Pod is outstanding—from front doors back to the locker room and showers.
I also want to say how much I appreciate the affordability of the membership. I still had to rearrange some things to make space for it in my budget, but YogaPod pricing is generous in a world where price-gouging can be commonplace.
Last thing—I had been meaning to start yoga for years. My hips feel better, which is great, but I'm also just so surprised by the body awareness I have now—it's like getting to know my vessel for the first time in 37 years.
Ok that's all. Five stars for you and also Glen Coco.

If Janelle's class was a Christmas tree (no it's not too soon for Christmas metaphors) it would be a tall pine tree in the forest: its roots simultaneously reaching out and down as if to say, yes my abs know what hell feels like and I'm here for it even if it scares me ... and it's thick, burly branches reach up to the sky as if to say, yes I know what the breath of god feels like as it moves through my branches like a winter storm. It might just be your neighbor gasping for air as s/he rolls through the flowiest flow with some kickas$ music on a Monday at 2pm, but more than likely the winter storm of breath will be you finding your life force, much like this Christmas pine tree in the wind, both of you covered in water - the pine tree with the frozen, snow kind of water & you with the rivers of sweat kind. Needless to say, Janelle makes us feel like a beautiful wild pine tree in a winter storm. With some abs to boot!

VIOLATED MY RIGHT TO MEDICAL PRIVACY:
I have taken over 60 classes at yoga pod and I have been practicing yoga for over 2 decades. I was 5 minutes into Rob’s class when my watch (on DND) vibrated to let me know that I had an abnormal health reading, that it is trained to watch for. This was very scary because I have a health condition and I have not had an alert in over a year. I had not gotten to the second word of the alert when Rob yelled at me for scrolling. I let him know it was a medical alert and he proceeded to tell me that I had to let him know of any medical issues I had and that I was just being rude. This is NOT TRUE. I actually work in healthcare and I DO NOT have to tell him any of my medical issues, as I had signed a liability waiver with all of the medical questions answered correctly. On top of that, he was pressuring me to do it IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE CLASS. If you wear a heart rate monitor, diabetes monitor, etc. please let it be known that this studio tolerates this behavior. I let management know of the situation. I never received an apology from Rob or confirmation that he agreed not to repeat this behavior in the future. PLEASE INVEST IN HIPAA TRAINING IF YOUR FITNESS INSTRUCTORS INSIST ON ACTING THIS WAY.

I have been practicing yoga at YogaPod Boulder for approximately 2 months now. I started back in the fall for 1 month to try it out and I was hooked. Fast forward to today, I am a regular at the Pod still learning the poses but immensely enjoy the community and experience created here. The manager Paula W is a gem to work with and will kindly help you with any situation you may need assistance with. Lisa F, Lauren C, and Caitlin Rose them my yogi girls…their classes be killing it! The variety of classes that YogaPod has to offer is really a whole approach experience. If you’re looking to connect your mind/body you’ve got your yin, if you’re looking for more of a cardio blast you’ve got podfit, if you want to ease those aching muscles you’ve got podhot! There’s really something for everyone! I highly recommend giving them a try. It’s so much more fun than the boring old gym. Who wants to do that?! Come join us and make yogi pals!

Lauren made me feel welcomed and at home in a very subtle but profound way. I felt connected to her throughout practice and I felt that the teaching that flowed through her was both very inspired and also technically very precise. I really appreciated the energetic container she created and could feel her skill, which helped me to trust the practice. As a yoga instructor myself I was very impressed by this class.

Yoga Pod Boulder is wonderful. I am so grateful to have found a studio with such diversity in classes, instructors, and schedule. Whatever you may be looking for in a yoga class, Yoga Pod has it. The instructors are top notch, and all the staff are warm, welcoming, and supportive. It’s the best.

Great studio. Love the classes and the instructors but I am not alone.
My only complaint is how crowded some classes can get. Personally I find it a bit hard to focus on my breath when I can only think about how many other people already exhaled that same air in a packed class. I like that they try to let as many people into classes but I'll try to avoid the super busy ones.

I lived practicing here. They have hot and unheated classes. Level 2 are not that hard actually, especially in the morning. Big variety of classes all day long. They rent a mat for 5$. Bring your towels + water bottle. Showers are great.

After 6 years of YogaPod, I’m faster running Mount Sanitas then when I played lacrosse here at CU over 20 years ago. This place CAN change your life, if you let it. I’m healthier, happier, and surrounded by loving, compassionate people who challenge me to be better Tommy. Participate authentically and this group of weirdos will become your family. Just show up, for your life. YogaPod has changed my life for the better, and Gerry and Nicole lead with love. Love is real, not fade away. ✌🏼

I attend classes around four times a week at the Yoga Pod's central and south Boulder locations. The studios are clean, bright, peaceful, and very welcoming to people of all ages, abilities, and sizes, and I've honestly never had a teacher I didn't like. Their variety of classes and the number of options each day motivated me to try yoga styles I hadn't done before and ended up really enjoying. Like any other activity, what you get out of it depends a lot on what you put into it, but I'm in my early 50s and my body honestly feels better than in my 20s thanks in large part to practicing regularly at the Yoga Pod!

Sad to go, as I will miss Derise's classes. She is an excellent instructor. However, this studio and membership has increased prices one month, and then stopped cross regional visits from the Boulder and Golden studios. You pay more and get less. Yes, businesses change, but something that is supposed to be a "constant," like a yoga community, should not change this drastically.

I would describe yoga pod as “pop yoga lite”. Most of the sequences in their Flow 2 classes are fairly basic and uninspired. Although most of the teachers say they “love giving adjustments” they rarely do anything to adjust student’s poses. The nail in the coffin for me is when they made 70% of their flow 2 classes at the south Boulder studio heated.
On the other hand, there are some really good teachers there (shout out Brie, Lisa, Heather, and Lauren L.) and their zoom classes are really convenient when you can’t leave the house. But at the end of the day, for me, the good didn’t outweigh the bad.

Great yoga instructors & diverse classes. I appreciate that each class is unique and there's no repeats. It's also super helpful that all classes are on zoom. As someone who doesn't like warm or hot yoga, I can practice at home at whatever temperature I want. Thank you, Yoga Pod! Please keep doing what you're doing!

1) AMAZING instructors.
2) Great studio space, but if you're not ready to go to in studio classes, they're all set up for live stream. Good video and audio quality so it feels like you're there. Or, of like me, you have little ones running around at times then live stream is the way to go.
3) My personal favorites are fit and hot.

Getting to go to this yoga studio is one of my favorite things about living in Boulder. My favorite things about it: (1) the absolutely AMAZING quality of the teachers and instruction they provide in class, (2) how many different classes are offered (Yin, flow/Vinyasa style, hot yoga and even fitness/HIIT classes) and at different times (morning, lunch time, afternoon, evening), making it so you can find something that will work for your schedule no matter what, (3) multiple locations in Boulder and Longmont that are all beautiful with wonderful, clean, and well cared for facilities, (4) the studio's handy app that makes scheduling a breeze, (5) how genuinely kind and friendly the staff and fellow yogis are, (6) the support the studio provides for accessing yoga, including through a student discount or a program where you can trade hourly upkeep work for free yoga! There are many other fantastic things about this incredible place. Don't walk, run to Yoga Pod, and I promise you'll be happy you did.

I've been attending PodFit classes for about 3 years and am hooked. I enjoy everything about this yoga studio. I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience I've had in person and live stream. The instructors are fantastic as well as the front office staff. I've been able to get direction and individual attention in the early months when a beginner. The owners (Gerry & Nicole) are amazing people dedicated to their vision. If you're wanting a new yoga experience I highly recommend trying any of the many class offerings. You'll be glad you did:)

I've had nothing but good experiences at Yoga Pod in Boulder. Actually, not just good, but beautiful, funny, memorable, quotable...There have been times where I've thought, maybe I'll just do a home practice and skip the membership and I find that doesn't usually happen, but more than that, I miss the studio and the teachers. The teachers are all uniquely fabulous, by the way. Now with Livestreaming, even if I moved out of the country I'd likely continue my membership. Funny, I didn't think livestreaming would be for me, but now I can hop in a class when I'm traveling or squeeze one in easily, when it would be too much to get to the studio. I love the livestreaming feature and even the pre-recorded classes. I do think knowing the teachers helps it feel like you're right there in class.
In a town that's fairly saturated with yoga studios, this is far and away the best.

It’s a really nice yoga studio, but they have weird late and no show policies. First of all if you’re more than 5 minutes late, you normally can’t come in. Which seems pretty strict. And second of all, if you don’t show, you have to pay an extra no show fee. Which doesn’t make sense to me, because you already paid for your reservation. So you pay for your reservation, and a no show fee. What is it costing the business if you don’t show up that warrants a no show fee on top of losing your class deposit? If anything you’re saving them money because you payed them without using the service, freeing up space in the studio and giving the other participants more room to breathe. Idk. Doesn’t make sense to me and is either a weird form of “principle” that they’re upholding or they’re trying to nickel and dime their clients. Just seems more selfish than customer oriented but I’ve seen this policy at least a couple times in Colorado, which is new for me since I’m not originally from here.

Each instructor brings so much to the table! There are different flow levels offered throughout the day so I always have time to catch a class. And going at different times allows me to really take in each individual instructor's style, kindness, and adjustment advice to help me deepen my practice. On top or that, the membership price is competitive with the lowest in boulder, they offer student/teacher discounts. Don't believe me? Just try it out. There's no harm in that!
