What the hell have these guys been doing the past 18 months? It’s turned into an absolute joke. Why bother even paying for a membership here at this point when they don’t even have their own gym? The fact they even retained the clients they did when they moved the first time was a miracle in and of itself, especially conserving you had to pay for parking and it effectively doubled the price. They claim they’ll have a new location in 6 months. I’d put money on it they won’t even be around in 3. Pretty sad considering they had a pretty loyal customer base.
EDIT:
Officially shut their doors today. Shocked they bothered saying anything at all. KEN, if you’re reading this, go to the new Trufit revival in the Ritz downtown.

Initially I was super excited to join this gym. Unfortunately, they moved locations and went to a temporary spot. I canceled due to lack of amenities in the temporary location.
When I signed up I paid first and last month to avoid being on a contract. When I canceled my membership I was told I owed for another month on top of the last month I already paid for. I am all for paying for what I used but this is unacceptable. I would not recommend.

SCAM ALERT ~ as everyone else has stated....they closed the doors of their Denver location with no notice to members. Management continually stated they were moving back to the original, remodeled space, however this was false information. They continued to bill us and the contact information shared never responds. Peak Payment solutions is extremely difficult to deal with and continues to withdraw money from our accounts even after cancelling twice. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ZONE. Shame on you.

Zone Athletic closed their doors in Fort Collins with no notice to members. The sign on the door said that the state seized the property because they owed taxes for employee wages. Their payment vendor, Peak Payment Solutions, is notorious for being difficult to cancel even when the contract period is fulfilled. I agree with John. Be aware of what you are signing up for with this company, and their payment vendor.

This gym has changed locations without any notice several times! DO NOT JOIN - we showed up one day after traveling and the gym was closed! 0 notice even though our credit card was charged again and again! Such a bad experience with Zone! Poorly ran dirty - don’t waste your money

Closed abruptly in October just after they charged me an annual maintenance fee then had to argue with their billing company to stop charging for a gym that went out of business.

Do not enter into a contract with Zone, they are sleazy and awful. When another location closed recently, they gave NO NOTICE to customers and transferred memberships to another gym that costs 1/4 of the price, while continuing to bill customers their full price and refusing refunds. Ridiculous.

Zone Athletics is a very poorly managed gym that does not seem to pay their bills. After 7 years as a member, they decided to permanently close their doors with 8 hours notice. They sold all their members information and credit card numbers to another gym, and made it impossible to cancel memberships. Further more they charged their members with a service fee 3 days before closing. I would strongly recommend the Cherry Creek members to cancel their memberships and go to another gym before they sudden close that location too. A very mismanaged gym and an uneducated ownership group.

Terrible customer service. Feels like a scam. Beware if you sign up. My wife and I signed up for the cherry creek location where they do not validate your 3 dollar a day parking. Then they straight up lied about the spaciousness of the location they moved to. We decided to cancel and in our cancellation request they only cancelled my wife's membership even though we asked for both to be cancelled and provided all the necessary information for the request.

Beware of Hidden Fees & Unethical Charges
We signed up for Zone Athletic Club in October 2024, when it was located near the Cherry Creek Mall. However, we were never informed that the gym would relocate to the Jewish Community Center the very next week. Despite the lack of transparency, we decided to give it a try, but the facility was much smaller than expected and not what we originally signed up for.
Feeling misled, we decided to cancel our membership in November 2024. However, by that time, they had already charged us $400—an outrageous amount considering they don’t even have a dedicated gym location and were just using the JCC.
To make matters worse, they have continued to charge us membership fees even months after our cancellation. It is now February 2025, and despite multiple attempts to contact them, we have received no resolution.
This has been a terrible experience, and we strongly advise others to avoid this gym. They are not transparent, their billing practices are highly questionable, and customer service is unresponsive. Save your money and sign up somewhere else!

Had a great experience here. The gym had everything you could need and more and was always maintained properly. The GM Tommy is helpful and thoughtful. Once they have a new permanent location established I will be looking back in to joining.

Super bummed to write this because this was a great gym with awesome staff, but do not sign up here. I've been a member since 2020. I had to go out of town for several months in 2022 due to a family illness and when I came back, the Leetsdale gym was closed. No email, letter, robocall, nothing. They honored my current rate at the Cherry Creek location, which was great for a time. Until equipment started disappearing and they said it was due to a "temporary location for a remodel" Well we never went back to that location and it's now a salon. Gym moved down the street to a bigger location with more equipment which was great, except for the parking fees. I go out of town for two weeks and AGAIN I come back to an empty gym, no call, email, or letter. The second "temporary" location is the JCC which has not even 1/4 the equipment of the old space and is not equipped to handle the influx of members. I asked a JCC employee if they knew a timeline for the new location and was told as far as they know "maybe April." I don't think there will be a new location. The transparency and honesty is nonexistent. If you want to actually lift with real equipment and not be crammed in like sardines and not be LIED TO, look elsewhere.

This company has been consistently closing locations and downsizing for years. It’s no surprise at this point, but their lack of transparency is astounding. They lie straight to their members’ faces when asked valid questions about the direction of the business, even when it’s obvious something is wrong. They refuse to take any accountability for their mistakes.
I once had an executive member (via email) reply to my concerns and tell me I was wrong for being upset and that I should feel lucky to have “gotten a good deal” after being moved to two different gyms because of their mismanagement. Laughable. And I will continue to sit back and laugh as they close more locations and downsize.
Do yourself a favor—skip the headaches and go to Chuze Fitness. Best decision I’ve ever made.

STAY AWAY!
This gym has moved locations twice. The second location had excellent equipment, but we received a 2 day notice that they were closing down and moving us somewhere else. I did one workout at the new location and it didn't have any equipment i needed and was practically the size of a shoe box. Immediately went to cancel my membership and they said i needed to pay an additional 30 days before i could cancel.
I did not agree to this crap location change and refuse to pay what they do not deserve.
I love all the workers there, but it's a shame the higher ups at Zone Athletics opperate this way.

This place is unbelievably poorly run - joke of management. They gave us 3 days notice that the club was closing down out of nowhere and then would not allow us to cancel, and are still managing to charge us. There is nobody to contact or call to help resolve issues. Wildly dissapointing

This place is a total scam. We loved going here until a few weeks ago when the owners gave us only 3 days notice that the gym would be closing permanently and moving to a "temporary" location. The temporary location was unusable, operating out of a community center that had 10% of the equipment the old facility had. No option to cancel membership without giving 30 days notice (but was okay for them to only give us 3 days notice that they would be closing, ha) and they disconnected their phone so the only way to contact is through a 3rd party who only handles payments. This place is such a joke.

TL;DR Don't join, this business doesn't treat its members well and will do everything it can to take your money. This is no way to run a business.
I signed up because this gym was within running distance of my apartment. I was told the gym would eventually move to a permanent address but that they were offering a 6-month membership deal because of that and I could change to month-to-month afterwards until the move. While I was unhappy about extra fees that I wasn't properly informed of or weren't mentioned during my signup that they charged, the gym was good enough. But when my renewal was coming up in October I specifically asked to be moved to month-to-month and was told my membership would change to m2m automatically.
Cut to a few weeks later, I arrived for a workout to find the front door locked and moved to a new address with absolutely no warning (the address had apparently been closed for at least a few days and no communication was ever sent out, there was just a notice taped to the front door). The new location was too far for my needs so I emailed twice asking to cancel my membership and received no response. I finally called today and was told:
1) I actually had renewed on a 6-month membership, so I was mislead when I asked about my renewal back in October
2) The membership contract has a clause built in that says if they move less than 5 miles away a 30 day notice is still required to cancel the membership. So I am going to be charged for an extra month in order to cancel my membership.
Essentially they are requiring that their members give a 30 day notice in order to cancel their membership due to a change that we have known about for less than 30 days. All just to squeeze one extra month out of them. That is just not the right way to treat people or run a business ethically.

TLDR Version: DO NOT SIGN UP HERE.
EDIT: Revised review to reflect current situation.
Zone has been in the process of moving locations for over a year. While I can appreciate the less-than-ideal circumstances that presents for management, its handling of the ordeal has been a disaster and, at times, disrespectful to members.
At the beginning of the process, members were intentionally misled about the relocation with staff being instructed to tell everyone that the floor plan was simply being rearranged and carpets cleaned.
Then, after equipment started disappearing, it was revealed that the location was being remodeled. It took some pressing to find out, but the eventual remodeled gym will be windowless and half the size of the original gym.
Once the temporary site was setup, which was on the property of the Cherry Creek Mall in a former Container Store, members were assured that parking would be comped. That ended up not happening and effectively doubled the cost of membership depending on how frequently a member used to the gym.
Currently, in the second temporary location, members are forced to be at a community center where the facilities are likely inadequate to accommodate its current members and the influx Zone members. This most recent move also occurred with virtually no communication and very little notice.
I am a creature of habit and a loyal customer more than most, but even I am fed up with the mishandling of everything.
Until things are settled, I wouldn’t recommend becoming a member. Moreover, if you expect even a modicum of appreciation for your business, look elsewhere.

I was initially happy with the location and services provided for the price but was moved to the new location with fewer amenities and parking fees about a year ago. Members then received a 2-day notice that the gym would once again be moving to a location that does not work at all for me. I empathize that the gym owners probably didn't have much time to prepare for the move themselves, but members are not getting the agreed upon service they signed up for. I emailed the membership portal immediately stating I wish to cancel my membership. However, they cited their policy that 30 days-notice must be given, and I would have to pay for November. I also called the front desk which now contacts the new establishment that has no control over zone memberships or cancellation. One final email to the main zone email on their website went unanswered and my bill for November just showed up. Absolutely terrible customer service. Beware.

This gym has become a scam. They closed with just two days’ notice but continue to charge members, including myself, despite being out of business. I’ve emailed them at least three times and tried contacting the founder, Bruce Banker, on Facebook—yet I haven’t received a single response. My membership cannot be canceled, and I also had around $200 worth of belongings in the locker room that I can’t retrieve. No one is replying to my emails.

I first joined Zone in Cherry Creek, and everything started off well. However, out of the blue, the gym was relocated to a retail location where you also had to pay for parking—although still within walking distance. Then, they moved the gym yet again, this time to a religious center a few miles away, without any notice or an option to cancel membership. Sherry, the manager, seems to have no idea how to run a gym or retain members. I'm very disappointed, especially considering the high cost of the membership. Hopefully, we’ll get a better workout facility in Cherry Creek soon.

The management at this gym is completely unethical. I had issues when joining the gym with some additional fees that were not discussed. Now after the gym abruptly relocated, they provided their members with a 2 day notice that the location is moving. After I attempted to cancel my MTM membership, I was told that I can't cancel until 90 days out. I can't reach anyone and my emails have not been responded to.

I've been a member at Zone since 2018 and could not be happier with this gym. The equipment is top notch, the facility is always clean, never to crowded and the team is amazing- Dee Dee and Tommy run a phenomenal business and truly CARE about their members vs turning a profit. The gym has had amazing classes over the years and continually upgrade the equipment and layout. I love that the gym is never too crowded and the members who work out there know gym etiquette! (ie no one hogging equipment and just texting on their phones vs working out! my pet peeve!) I used to live within 5 minutes of the gym... 3 years ago I moved to Highlands Ranch but the 30+ minute drive is so worth it- I have the fondest memories of working out 9 months pregnant at 4:30 AM w my now 5 year old daughter and don't think I will ever be able to part ways with this gym!! Thank you Zone (and formerly Trufit) for being amazing!!!

I had a rough experience with billing previously where there were some miscommunications and they sent me to collections. I then reached out to the new General Manger, Tommy, who was excellent to work with and demonstrated great customer service. We were able to come to a mutual agreement on the billing issue and I went from strongly disliking Zone to having a very positive experience that changed my perspective on the team there.

This is not a place that believes in anything close to good business practices or customer relations; at least not when it comes to payments and charges.
NO ONE at the gym can help with payments and when I was given a website to voice my concerns, I could not log on without providing information I had no reason or intention to give them.
When I called Cherry Creek Zone again, as a courtesy, the 3rd person I spoke with finally gave me a phone number....to a billing service company. Zone has apparently outsourcred their business relationship. In any event, the woman I spoke with was rude, insolent, threatening and completely ill mannered.
And, today, I get an email from a collection agency for....$49 becasue, they say, I did not give them 30 days notice to cancel after I had surgery and discontinued my account in April (as I recall) of last year, as in 2023! And, they had restarted my membership! Crazy!
This is too long an email to simply say; I would never do business with Zone again, if they were the only gym in Denver. And, they ceratinly are not.

It was great until they moved. Their “temporary” location at the old Container Store space has no sauna, limited locker rooms and no discount for downgraded experience. And you will come out on the losing end of any payment disputes. The staff at the gym point to the payment processor, while the payment processor says take any complaints to the gym staff. What a shame.

Zone Fitness used to be my go-to, but recent changes have left me disappointed. While Dee and Ty continue to impress, the new location has stripped away essential amenities like the sauna and steam room. The mutual locker room setup is awkward, with members changing in janitor closets. Adding insult, the gym now charges for parking without validation. Sadly, these downgrades have pushed me and my coworkers to find a new gym.

I’ve been a member for a few weeks and so far I really like this gym. It’s right on the cherry creek trail so I can easily ride my bike and they let me bring my bike inside. It’s never crowded, has tons of weights and machines, and a good price.

Only thing that would make it 5 stars is if it had a sauna.

For all of previous current and possibly new members of prestige fitness (under zone athletic). I was a member of the Arvada location.
They have closed their location then canceled our pre paid contracts without notification, approval or communication. They are not reopening a location per their contract. They have not refunded the remaining amount and will not.
Apparently this fraudulent company has closed previous locations in other cities like centennial without refunding their members as well. (Was told through a personal trainer who works at the another location)
We have emailed and called gms from all locations and also their payment processor. Both of which kept directing to the other with no resolution. They are completely unresponsive, nor do they have any info of a main office.
They are committing fraud. Do not sign a contract or membership here. It is not worth it. They clearly are shutting down and committing illegal business practices.

READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE JOINING THIS GYM!! They are straight up lying in their contract agreements. They are doing "promotional sales" to get people to sign long extended contracts by paying in full up front then closing their locations. Do not sign with this gym. They just shut down the Arvada location and I guarantee the rest are going to follow after the lawsuits coming their way. If you prepay up front for your membership you are throwing away your money. Don't fall into the same trap I did. This is a scam. They are on their way out the door and looking to collect on as many innocent people as they can on their way out. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT OR PROVIDE ANY MONEY UP FRONT. IF YOU MUST JOIN THIS GYM DUE TO LACK OF OTHER OPTIONS; BE SURE TO ONLY DO SO ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I had two Zone locations near me (Cherry Creek and Arvada), so I signed an 18-month contract since I had no plans of moving and paid in full to get a discount. HUGE MISTAKE!!! Both locations closed/moved.
I no longer have time to work out in Cherry Creek on my lunch break because the new location added a 20-minute commute (walking or driving because of all the lights), not to mention now having to pay for parking.
The Arvada location closed with no notice and moved people's memberships to the YMCA, which is now packed and has different class schedules. Also with no notice. I didn't even have a way to cancel my Kid's Club Membership because the gym was closed and the phone number was disconnected. So I disputed the charge on my credit card since there is NO kids club, then got hit with a late fee.
The billing department basically said "too bad, you should have mailed a letter cancelling your Kid's Club Membership to the address on your contract" (the contract I signed electronically in the gym and never got a copy of). And because I paid for my gym membership in full, there's zero chance of getting a dime back. So I'm out $1,100 and trying my best to think of it as an expensive life lesson, but what a joke! Buyer beware.

Really bummed about recent changes. The value of this gym has plummeted. No heads up about the location change or the quality of the new gym. Parking is $2 for 1 hour, $3 for 2 hours. If you go to the gym consistently, you're spending more than your membership on parking. There's no sauna and the locker rooms are just closets. No filtered water, just some old drinking fountains. Really loved this place before and the front desk staff/trainers (Ty, Kynan, Ben) are super friendly and welcoming. I reached out to management about receiving a discount until they are back at the old location instead of cancelling and they offered $5 off which covers maybe two days of parking. Honestly such a slap in the face as a current member and I've heard they are heavily discounting new memberships. Still haven't decided if I'm going to cancel but Lifetime fitness is a similar price after you include parking and a way better gym. There's a few pieces of new gym equipment which I appreciate but it doesn't really make up for anything else.

I am writing this review to share my experience with Zone Athletic Club along with their 3rd party contract management billing service Peak Payment Solutions, with the intent to inform and engage with others who might have encountered similar issues. As you can tell from recent publicly posted reviews, we are all going through this unfortunate situation together.
Background: My journey with Zone Athletic Club began on 6/12/23 when I signed up for a membership, after a tour of their facilitiy.
However, the club recently underwent unexpected changes, including a relocation and alteration in services, which were not disclosed at the time of my membership agreement. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues through proper channels, my concerns have been met with unresponsiveness and a lack of satisfactory resolution.
Concerns:
Lack of Transparency: There was no prior disclosure about the club's plan to relocate or make changes to the facility and the services offered.
Difficulty in Membership Cancellation: My attempts to cancel the membership due to these changes have been repeatedly ignored or denied, contrary to the terms of my agreement. (Section 8D)
Potential Violation of Consumer Rights: The practices I've encountered may potentially violate consumer protection laws, which I am currently exploring with legal counsel.
Discussion on Class Action Suit:
Given these experiences, I am considering the possibility of a class action lawsuit against Zone Athletic Club and Peak Payment Solutions for what appear to be deceptive business practices. This consideration stems from not only my experience but also from similar complaints and concerns raised by other members.
Call to Action:
If you have experienced similar issues with Zone Athletic Club or Peak Payment Solutions, I encourage you to share your story. It's important that we, as consumers, are aware of our rights and the standards of business conduct. Your experiences could be vital in understanding the extent of these issues and in evaluating the feasibility of a class action lawsuit.

I've never left a review in my entire life but this place is unbelievably frustrating and a waste of money. They operate on a contract which I never do for my gyms but place seemed nice (sauna, turf, every machine/free weights I needed) and I had no plans to move. 2 months into contract they got kicked out of their building and are in a "temporary" location. It's been 2 months here now, there's no locker rooms, no parking validation, the floors are uneven in the building, obviously no sauna or high end amenities that you'd expect from $100/mo. They give you the run around when trying to discuss the contract and generally will get rude with you for voicing complaints since the actual owners pawn off all the frustrations to their employees who aren't even at fault. Deceptive business practice warning- gym closed its original location on 1st Ave Cherry Creek without advance notice and they are not allowing members to cancel membership. They charge much higher fee for it’s original location and then the relocated to inconvenient location in the mall. Nonetheless, the gym wouldn’t allow members to cancel the membership for relocation. Bad business poor management poor ownership. Do NOT sign up for long term contract with them.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This gym doesn't care about their members whatsoever. I have never been this disgusted & disappointed with a company. This is one of those gym's people warn you about. They make it so impossible to get in contact with anyone to cancel your membership. The hoops I've had to jump through has been a nightmare. They will lie to your face then make you look stupid when you call them out on it. I was given a phone number multiple times to "cancel my membership" only for it to continuously disconnect on me, its infuriating. It almost feels like a sick joke. Do not give them a dime of your money. They are frauds & con artists.

We know a lot of people are complaining about the new location, etc. We dont want to focus on that- nobody and nothing is perfect in life. With that said, we really appreciate the hard work, dedication and time that Lisa and her staff put into this new/temporary location. We saw how hard everyone worked. So, this is us saying THANK YOU! We have respect for the staff! Thank you for creating a space for us to continue working out in Cherry Creek. All we hope is that the temperature stays cool. 😎
We are really grateful for Tye, Seamus, Ben and Kynan--such a great group of guys that exude warmth, openness and happiness. Thank you for consistently being kind and professional! G&R

Cherry creek location -
Gym is shady. They had their staff lie to all the members saying they were just renovating when I noticed a lot of missing equipment. They didn’t tell anyone they were moving into a temporary subpar location. Literally just put a sign on the door. When I tried to quit they said sorry you need to give 30 days notice. Obviously I would have if someone would have told me what was going on with the move. But obviously that’s why they did that, it’s apparent they didn’t want the members to know what’s really going on. They aren’t telling people when they eventually move back to the original location they will only occupy the basement. It’s stuffy down there with no windows. Place is so poorly managed and I’m sure this location will shut down soon. They obviously couldn’t afford rent for the whole place hence why they are going into the basement and a salon will take the main floor. Don’t waste your time.

This is the most poorly run gym I've ever experienced. Upper management clearly needs to understand how to run a business.
They started clearing out the equipment weeks ago, with signs at the door indicating renovation was underway.
There was zero communication to members, and as I understand it most of the trainers/staff were left in the dark as well. Then only after the gym is emptied of three quarters of the equipment... they tell us there's a temporary location.
Luckily I had signed up month to month, but even after canceling I'm having to pay for two extra months that I won't be using... which is not how the month to month commitment was explained to me initially. I'll be keeping an eye on my billing to make sure they don't continue to deduct from my account.
To describe this place as shady is an understatement.

This was a decent, cheap gym...you get what you pay for. However, they moved into a temporary space without notifying members. The temp space was a vacant store with no place to change except a dirty, one stall bathroom with a broken sink. Pay parking. Not much equipment. The staff didn't know how long before the old space was renovated...months though. I'm not working out in the temp space, so I tried to quit. No exceptions...can't quit without months notice. I did not create the issue, Zone did. Don't bother joining....at least until the old space is renovated.

This is about the Zone athletic club Prestige Fitness at 15530 West 64th, Arvada. I signed up with them fifteen months ago and really liked them. It was within walking distance of my house, had all the equipment and space to do a good work out! I liked the dry sauna! Then a couple of weeks ago I went to the gym and no one was there! The door was locked. The notice on the door said they had closed! No warning just closed! They said I could go to the nearest YMCA or wait for a secondary location. I go to the nearest Y and it is small and crowded. They did not have the equipment I used before. There is no way I could do a workout here and no sauna! At this point I am thinking that Zone Athletics has breached their contract with me! They are not providing the gym I signed up for! I emailed a request to get out of the breached contract I had with them, about nine months. After a few rude emails they said if I paid fifty percent of what was left on the contract, $139.96, I could get out of the contract. So, let me get this straight: they shut the door on me, do not provide the gym I signed up for and I have to pay $140. Read your fine print, this could happen to you too!

For the second time in two years of being a member of this gym I have pulled up to the location to work out and find it dark and empty. The only information is a sign on the door directing members to a new location. I was there in the previous week and there was no obvious signage about moving or any information about renovations. There was no information on the website, instagram, via email or the app about moving. After navigating to the the new location I have to pay to park to work out in a dusty facility with no mirrors, barely any heat, half of the equipment available, and caution tape everywhere. How is this an appropriate space for members to work out in?

Transferred here from Prestige Lakewood after it closed. Loving this club! Clean, fully loaded with equipment and gear needed for all varieties of workouts, and plenty of space for the crowd control. Amazing locker rooms with sauna and showers, towel service, and a full schedule of classes (with barre and yoga). The people who workout here are super friendly and the training staff are always ready to help. My trainer, Ronnie, is amazing with his focus on movement/strength/and power in every exercise. He quickly became a trusted partner and friend, as several of the trainers do at this gym. It’s a solid mix of a down-to-earth gym and a high-end athletic club.

Along with the other reviews on here, I also canceled my membership back in August and was charged for Sept, Oct and my annual membership fee. I have called more times than I can count in regards to getting a refund and it is now January and there is still no sign of a refund. The staff who answer the phone have even put me on hold to go tell the GM and have assured me multiple times that they will issue my refund. This is incredibly frustrating as I don't live in town anymore to come in and try to get my refund. I've never written a bad review but this is the only thing I can think of that might help my situation.
I should've known this would be a problem when during quarantine they sent out an email asking if customers would like to freeze their accounts during lockdown. I followed the instructions as I lost my job due to COVID and didn't hear anything back until I found out they kept charging me and actually sent me to collections for not being able to pay. I had to speak with a manager to get it taken out of collections since it was their fault for not seeing my email. I then reinstated my membership but the manager tried to make me pay the set up fee, their regular rate ( I was grandfathered in at a price since I had been a member before Zone took over) and another annual fee all because of mistake on their end. Incredibly frustrating and shady.

I cancelled my membership over a year ago and am still getting charged for it. I have been assured by managers that this has been rectified but is still an ongoing issue. The woman I spoke to on the phone for the latest incident told me it wasn’t her issue and that she didn’t appreciate my phone call about this problem because it was ‘so early’. I don’t appreciate being charged for something I have cancelled and made clear I no longer want to be charged for! The woman claimed if it was all in the records then it would be an easy fix. Their records obviously aren’t reliable as they still can’t figure out that I have cancelled the membership. Multiple times! I cancelled because I wasn’t that impressed with their services and staff, proved again by the woman I had to speak with this morning. Do yourself a favor, chose a different gym.

MiKenna is an amazing trainer! She designs workouts with functional movements that have made me so much stronger. She tailors workouts to my needs, based on my personal goals as well as to how I’m feeling-I had a minor/temporary back injury and she modified each movement I was doing accordingly, until it was healed. I have utilized personal training many times in the past but she is by far the best trainer I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!!!

Avoid at all cost if you can. The manager is extremely rude to handling a misunderstanding, and I decided to walk away. They talk to you like you're in a college gym.
For more context, I came in for a classpass class, in which they no longer offer anymore. The front desk person was nice in explaining the situation etc. He requested an ID, and I went outside to get it. As I was coming back, I overheard the manager yelling at the front desk person from his leg bench station and said "If they are giving you an attitude, we turn them away!" He did all that with very loud intimidating and angry voice. That tone was so dismissive, and I dont think the front desk person deserved to be talked at like that. Reminds me of a college environment for bros.
I confronted him with the statement I heard, he walked over and denied that he said that💀 I had nothing to say and decided to go somewhere else.
Look, I understand if there's a technical error between classpass and them. But I don't think anyone deserved to be yelled at like that - not the front desk person, and definitely not a new person walking in.
A gym should be an all-inclusive encouraging place for ANYONE to better their physical journey. Get yourself a supportive environment where you feel like the people around you treat you with respect and welcome you. This gym is definitely not it. You don't need a big muscle man manager with big ego to talk down at you.
I see now why this place has so many negative 1 star!

Did not have a good experience. I forgot it was a locked 1 year membership, so when I got really sick last year, I was out of luck and was stuck paying for the membership for the entire year.
I also did not like how during the Pandemic they still made the members pay for a closed gym instead of freezing their membership. They claimed, by us paying our membership we were "supporting " their business.
If you don't want to commit to a year long membership, do not go here.
Also their communication is very bad and need to update their locations on Google.

It started off ok but quickly realized that they do not have a large amount of equipment I enjoy using. Then per my contract agreement I gave my 30 day notice up at the front desk and another gentleman tried talking me out of canceling. I decided to cancel anyway. I had already paid for my first and last per my contract and paid for the middle. Despite my canceling I was charged yet again and spoke to a manager Michael and it was to be canceled and refunded. Now I am being harassed via email to pay. NOT GONNA HAPPEN and if it continues I will report you all and btw you all need to clean the equipment the ellipticals are gross.

In the same sentiment as most of these bad reviews, it is impossible to cancel your membership. Although you pay your first and last month's fees up front, and even if you are cool with paying for a month you won't use with the 30 day cancellation window, they still double charged me on top of that for my last month. I called them and they confirmed my membership was cancelled. I proceeded to get a bill for 3x my monthly fee 2 months after I cancelled. Upon refusal to pay they claim my membership wasn't cancelled.
Just a messy, unprofessional business.
I think it says something about the business if they are unwilling follow their contract when it comes to cancellation.

Used to be my favorite gym I’d ever been to! The trainers were always very helpful, would answer any questions I had and always on time for sessions! Issues started as soon as i moved away and tried to cancel, it’s been months of being ignored by whoever runs this club. Been told multiple times every week that I’d be receiving a call and it never happens, anyone with any kind of authority is never present, or if they are, aren’t willing to do their job. Was very disappointed as I used to love this gym, and they became extremely unprofessional once I tried to cancel and has left a very sour taste in my mouth. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless they later would like to pay for a gym membership they have no intents of using, because it’s impossible to cancel.

Been going to this location for about four years now it used to be very clean. Unfortunately that is not the case now. We mentioned to the staff that this was an issue back in December 2021 and nothing has changed. The walls have a dust line, the equipment is covered in dust, the showers have mold and grime along with trash, the toilets don't flush, the walls are covered in urine, and the sauna is disgusting. We have been told that bathrooms and showers are getting cleaned three times a week but the same filth is still there from weeks ago. The staff have become lazy and when we bring an issue up with them they are very condescending. I've taken pictures every time I'm there and nothing has changed. Note: this rating is in relevance to my PT and diet coach Hunter Faber and not The Zone Cherry Creek.
I signed up with Hunter 3 months ago with a goal to lose some weight after struggling on my own for a number of years despite working hard and trying to diet on my own. Hunter has helped me lose 22 pounds so far! And it would be more if I had put more time in at the gym. He's a really knowledgeable guy when it comes to food and diet with collegiate education in these areas which has been my main success. He also knows how to educate and guide with the proper and effective work out plans to supplement the dieting for maximum results, and quick results. Everything he instructs is reasonable and doable and not crazy, and it's effective. He's a really friendly and funny guy and I enjoy our sessions working hard but also having some good laughs. He has really been great as well about responding to questions and giving advice outside of our sessions, often answering in his personal time. He's a great dude with a plethora of GIFs on que for just about anything. He is the right balance of keeping you accountable without being a crazy fitness nut who chews you out for being human. I would recommend Hunter any day for someone who is looking for professional help/training/diet coaching!
The only slight dock is I would advise Hunter to communicate upfront that these programs come with a little more cost than just the training as far as supplements, groceries, other accessories. This is probably true for any fitness plan but it was a bit unexpected to me. After the results I've gotten I'd say it was 100% worth it!
Definitely give Hunter a shot even for just an exploratory consultation.

I have been a member of Zone (was True Fit prior) since 2016 and have nothing but rave reviews for this club. Jason and Deedee have always been wonderful. When Covid hit, I put my membership on hold as I am older, in the high risk group. Jason was extremely helpful, kind and professional and was willing to support with my concerns. Today I rejoined, worked out - it felt great! The club is respectful of Covid safety guidelines (lots of cleaning supplies) which is reassuring for me as a nurse. Being in a group of people who were respectful of each other also allayed my fears. While at the club I saw Deedee, an employee I have known since 2016. She was so kind and welcoming! For anyone fearful of returning to the gym - check out Zone you will be pleasantly surprised!!

Just a shady business all together. For a health and wellness company, you have some unethical business practices. Although you pay your last month when you join, they still require a 30 day notice. That means you need to know more than 60 days in advanced to cancel. What persons life works that way? Upon expression of this, I was told 'yeah pretty much' and when I mentioned disputing the charge, Jason was so kind to threaten collections of that charge. With the amount of gyms to select in that area, DO NOT JOIN ZONE. You can get better customer service and better business practices at Orangetheory, plus actual results.

I paid for an 18 month membership upfront in Dec of 2019, and then the pandemic hit. So I only got 3 months worth out of the approx $800 I paid.
They were not willing to extend my membership out, by the months I didn't use it while we were staying home and not vaccinated. They expected me to take a risk and still work out without being vaccinated - which I (and I'm sure most people) was not willing to do. Keeping a long time customer was not as important as the financial gains with signing up new members, clearly. So disappointed!

About as sleazy as gyms get. The equipment is nice but you’ll get hounded with calls when you are deciding to sign up, and then you’ll have to drop off a handwritten note in person to cancel, or send one via certified mail.

I can say with confidence that when you go to Zone Athletic Club you are in good hands if you're looking for a clean place to achieve fitness goals with high values that goes beyond expectations I encourage becoming a guest here. Adam Farny is an awesome manager that circulates a high energy culture that is priceless. 5 stars all day everyday plus a great location without the judgemental vibes you get from other gyms!

Got an email saying the time they were closed during the spring would be credited, but never was. Went to cancel after paying for March to November (even though we didn’t use it) and was told they would cancel me but would charge next month’s dues plus the annual club fee anyway, even though the fee is for the year ahead. Club policy...
I get everyone is struggling during COVID but that includes the gym members too. Now I won’t come back when Covid is over, nor will my wife.
Edited 2/7/21: Manager had actually called me on 12.15.20 about the review above and said they wouldn’t charge next months dues (January) or the annual club fee, but now we are into February and got charged monthly and annual club fees despite several calls. Will be challenging charges with bank.

I have been working with Caroline Wheeler for personal training for about two months and it has a been a great experience!! Caroline has helped me in setting and achieving realistic goals and has been a constant motivator, even writing personalized workout plans to try on my own! Definitely check out this gym and ask for Caroline if you're looking for a friendly, clean, and professional workout space.

I love this gym!! I have been a member for several years. Everyone is so friendly. I have started to take advantage of personal training. It steps things up! Dinell (my trainer) is super. He knows how to push you, but not enough where you become frustrated. He strikes a great balance. I highly recommend Dinell if you want to add personal training to your Zone gym experience.

Zone Athletic Club at Cherry Creek is a really nice gym. They have been great during the pandemic, offering online access to classes and allowing personal training sessions to take place outside at a nearby park. I’ve never really been a big fan of the indoor gym environment, so this shift to working out outside has been a much appreciated perk. I train with Caroline Wheeler and she is amazing! She is very knowledgeable about anatomy and adaptable to switching up the routine for great, well balanced work out. She plays good music, and is very encouraging and fun to train with. I look forward to our sessions each week, and would highly recommend her if you’re looking for a trainer.

I will never use this gym, running a gym is not rocket science take care of your customers and keep the place clean. I advocate for people to not use your business, that is how much I do not like this company or gym.

Have you heard horror stories about Gyms that are extremely poorly run businesses? This is one of those gyms. They're not even ashamed of it! You are a commodity not a member. If you ever want to change your membership level, get an exception for month, swap locations, etc. they will not help you. They say they're flexible when you sign up, but do not have resources to follow through on that claim. One representative will claim they have processed your account change, only to find out, it wasn't. Does it matter to the company that a representative previously claimed to have make the change? Nope! They will waste your time constantly telling you who to contact, only for that person to claim they're not the right person either. Do not believe the inflated rates and marketing schemes, this is a "corpo-gym" and they will treat you as such. Go anywhere else and save yourself the customer service nightmare I'm in.

I joined this gym a few years ago, and my experience has been nothing but positive. The gym is always clean, and the staff is always friendly. They have a good amount of equipment, and it is always in working order. Classes are fun, and the instructors are fun and engaging! Joined when it was Trufit, but I would say it’s improved quite a bit since Zone took over. Even though it’s not the closest gym to where I live (downtown) i would say it’s one of the best.

By far one of the worst gyms in Denver! Not sure how they are claiming below that they are top rated ? By who exactly? Yourselves? I would say it’s probably just a grade below a Planet Fitness, yet they are trying to market it as lux gym. There is not nearly enough equipment to accommodate all of the people in there and they are missing key equipment that any basic gym has. The staff is incredibly unprofessional. The geriatric trainer (bald old dude) trainer had a bad staring problem and was always mean mugging guests. Him and the rest of the trainers think they’re entitled to the entire gym yet can hardly train their clients (poor form, talk the entire time, etc.) The sales associate is beyond obnoxious and pushy. I did a 3 month membership and every day she found the need to push me joining long term. In addition to that she kept talking down to me that I didn’t find that the gym was worth the $80 monthly membership . Her responses were “well it’s only $80” “well we have to pay for that structure” “wow $80 is to much for you”! This gym isn’t even worth a $10 membership . In addition, the lay out and vibe of the gym are terrible. You have to park in a structure across the street , there’s one water fountain , the restrooms are downstairs , theirs one stall that works and is hardly cleaned , they closed the majority of the locker room section due to COVID so now everyone piles up in one area (super smart), the trainers are outta shape and demotivating and the gym goers are just a bunch of rude boomers.

The hours of operation are often incorrect and I still haven't received a credit for the two months they were closed. Considering 24 hour fitness is facing class action lawsuits, it's clear that this company has a blatant disregard for its patrons and doesn't care if it gets sued.

I was a member of this specific gym location when it was originally Tru Fit. In December of last year, the company apparently went bankrupt and sold most of their locations to a new company called Zone Athletic Club.
In their first e-mail, it was said that every membership was going to transition over flawlessly and their respective rates would remain the same. I had purchased plenty of personal training sessions, which was said that they would also remain on my account completely honored, as per the management and Angela Zaun. This is a fact! They will likely respond to this and suggest otherwise, but as everyone knows, they are extremely unethical and therefore not credible. The COVID-19 pandemic forced this gym and many others to close from March until June. When I returned to continue using my personal training sessions, I was informed they were all removed and no longer honored per the decision of a regional manager named Lisa Aitchison. This is extremely wrong and upsetting, now that I am out of hundreds of dollars paid for these sessions. It seemed quite convenient for the management to issue this after the pandemic hit, making these changes so suddenly and no one said anything.
Shortly after, I found out they fired Angela. I have heard from many employees at this location how they are sending people over to collections with absolutely no warning, over the littlest things that the front desk staff is 100% RESPONSIBLE for telling members when they check in! They wait until it’s too late and send them over to their lawyers! It doesn't make sense they removed people's personal training sessions moneys worth and at the same time going after other people that owe them since Tru Fit.
The gym is quite dirty. The locker rooms and bathrooms, especially in the men’s, tend to be unkept for. Trash pilling up or littered on the ground. It is not as good as it used to be. They had a leg extension machine that went broken for several months (literally) until the parts came in. Members aren’t abiding and wearing masks, especially in the running area. They definitely aren’t enforcing it enough.
I’ve also noticed the poor generic responses the owner is responding to these reviews. They aren’t helpful whatsoever and quite laughable (“We are Zone Athletic Club, we operate with honesty and integrity, and BTW it’s your/TruFits/anyone but us’ fault you’re in debt with us!”). This gym is just as bad as TruFit was with their shady deals and activities.
Bottom line. If you can, PLEASE avoid this gym at ALL costs! There are plenty of other gyms in the area.

EDIT 3: When gyms reopened, at first the gym was following local and state mandates and guidelines. However, disappointingly, gym-goers (and even trainers) are either not fully wearing their masks or not wearing masks at all. Making the gym a less safe place to visit. People not wearing masks aren’t asked to wear one and there are no measures of enforcement in place. If you want to catch Covid-19, this gym may be for you!
EDIT 2: It's hard to get a locker, because the staff let everyone keep their locks on the lockers. The gym can be a good town and the lockers are still sparse...
EDIT: The parking garage is now open.
Don't get me wrong, the facility is nice! However, I have 1 main complaint.
I'd suggest being VERY wary of adding someone to your contract. While it's a good deal for that person, if they decide to leave (with or without chatting to you first) TruFit will willingly cancel their additional membership, but at the cost of hiking up the price of the original plan. My original plan was ~$40/mo, but is now $70/mo. When asked about this the staff was unwilling to work on this matter and had an overall attitude that it was my fault.
The facilities are great, but often PACKED w/ people and it can be difficult to get the equipment you're after.

Don't use this gym. They are predatory and sent me to collections even though I never once used the gym (they were closed due to covid) nor even signed up to use the gym (they bought my contract off of a closed TruFit without my knowledge). I am contesting the validity of the supposed debt. Several people are in the same boat as me and we should really be considering organizing a class-action lawsuit. This is despicable ethics.
