We were looking for a gym where my son who has special needs could workout under the supervision of an understanding an caring staff. Well, we found it at 9Rounds in Old Saybrook. Steve S. is kind, caring and compassionate. He has a wonderful manner with my son and is able to get the best out him. My son enjoys going to 9Rounds so much so that he is there 5 days a week every week.

I just recently joined. Its really a great, challenging workout. All of the instructors have been terrific too! Definitely need to go a half dozen times or so to get the gist of it. Also love that you can show up during the open hours and just jump in! A friend referred me...would highly suggest you give it a try!

This is the best workout and exercise program I have ever joined! I’ve been going for about 2 1/2 years now and I’ve always had a different workout. I am in better shape now in my 40’s than I was in my 20’s! #9roundforlife

Great staff and workouts. The environment is clean and overall vibe is positive. Awesome place to workout and would highly recommend it to those who have a busy schedule and need to fit a quick, effective workout in. It’s affordable and you don’t have to get yourself locked into a contract.

Steve the owner is super friendly, helpful and really wants you to achieve your goals! He takes Covid-19 precautions very serious and disinfects everything after each person uses a station which is nice. I am new to kickboxing workouts /9Rounds, and haven't worked out since covid starting to come into play. I feel like in just 3-4 sessions I feel my body becoming more stronger and toned vs a month of going to the gym by myself and having mediocre results . 9 Rounds super motivational, and everyday you go there is something new, you are never doing the same boring workouts!!!

This was exactly what I was searching for as a long distance runner to assist with cross training and reconditioning. I am a 56 year old female and have completed 7 marathons- and decided to take a year off to give my body a break. Big mistake not to continue with some form of maintenance especially at this point in the lifespan. Thought I would check out some gyms and programs. Did a complimentary work out at 9 Round in Old Saybrook. WOW- I didn't have a clue what a great ALL BODY work out really provided . Steve and Christine, have already proven to be awesome trainers/owners. The place is very judgement free regarding ability level, age, and goals. Further, it has a friendly vibe, and 30 minutes later feels like you ran for two hours. Check it out...you will be satisfied and seriously sweaty!! :)

Great place! Steve and his staff are great as well. Best workout because it only takes 30 minutes and it's a very intense workout on such a short time. Within 1 month my body started to change. People noticed.

I LOVE 9round!! Every trainer there is so friendly and helpful! They do not judge new boxers at all and are always willing to help out! The workouts are effective and fun and you enter a whole new level of confidence once you start. Thank you to Steve, Kelly, Kristine and Lea. You guys make my day everytime I come!

I realized that just giving this place 5 stars doesn’t quite cut it for how I feel about 9R Old Saybrook.
I have been going here for more than 3 years and it’s been life changing.
I can’t think of another gym where you can burn so many calories in 30 minutes, while punching and kicking your stress away, with awesome trainers, a fantastic and encouraging member community, with present and accountable franchise owners.
If you’ve been looking to change your workout or just start being inspired to work out, come try the free session. No class times. No wait. No bs.

As a middle aged runner, I find that the cross training is something I’ve neglected. Nine rounds offers a softer version of cross training that appeals to my needs as a middle aged athlete, helping to build my core and maintain my athleticism while avoiding overuse injury. I still get the cardiovascular workout I starve for without running rediculous miles.
