9/1/25 These clowns - I terminated my membership in JUNE and they are sending me notices my membership is past due.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! I joined this gym and started personal training in January. During this time I cycled through 4 trainers as they cannot keep staff. The equipment is dated and broken throughout the facility. The rubber flooring is bubbling up and is a safety issue. I cancelled my training and they charged me for an additional week and charged me for when their trainer cancelled a session last minute on me. They have failed to return my calls and emails. I had to call my bank to dispute charges and to prevent these scam artists from continuing to charge me.

I have been going here on and off for the past 3 or so years and I have personally witnessed so much growth at this particular location. They truly do care about customers and show that in multiple ways. Their extensive consultations are meant to make sure they can help you meet your specific needs before selling you a membership. The machines are constantly upgraded and/or maintained well. Management is also constantly looking for ways to improve their members' experience all around. Lastly, I feel safe coming to this gym whether it's 1pm or 2am. Highly recommend.

I want to like this gym, but it's not easy. I have seen it improve some, replaced some weights. However AC has not worked all summer and bathroom has been broke for at least a week. Still has a ways to go for visual repais too. However, not very busy so it is usually easy to get a quick work out and night fight for equipment. I have been all over the country and this one is in the worst shape. However Norwich is a bit of a hole when it comes to fitness choices so get what you get.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU SIGNUP!!!!
I didn’t want to write this but here’s a full honest review of the gym. This is coming from someone who’s been to countless gyms.
Plates are chipped and missing so 45 lbs might be 35-40 lbs. The floor is bubbling which is a safety hazard for a lot of new members. Some of the dumbbells are not the same weight.. The AC hasn’t been on for over a month now (supposedly it’s down during the heat wave when it’s over 100 degrees) I call bs on that. They probably just don’t want to pay for the AC. The gym itself is a sauna.
I’ve been an OG member for awhile now and always paid $250 for 6 months upfront from the last 2 owners. Sammy and Ben. New owner didn’t want to honor the price. First they tell me 6 months is $85 then I say what? And ask for the yearly price if it’s that cheap. Then she says the 6 months upfront is like 5 something. Then says the best is $31.99 biweekly. Then I told her why does is say $19.99 online? Then she made a call and tried charging me $299 for renewal fee plus $19.99 biweekly. What a skeem. I legit brought my friend to renew his membership few months ago and she gave him $250 for 6 months. Seems like they tryna upcharge to pay for the AC to turn back on. Before trying to upcharge make sure everything in the gym is 100% if not no one’s paying that. Greedy. There’s way better gyms around (anytime fitness is only good for CONVENIENCE because it’s 24/7).
IF YOU WANT BETTER PRICING FOR THE MEMBERSHIP JUST CALL AROUND TO OTHER ANYTIME FITNESS LOCATIONS NEAR THE AREA. I CALLED ANOTHER ONE RIGHT AFTER I LEFT AND THEY TOLD ME, THEY COULD DO $271 FOR 6 MONTHS UPFRONT. Then you can still use your fob at any anytime fitness. Don’t get scammed here.

The rubber on barbell weights are torn to shreds. Dumbbells are falling apart as well. It is clear the amount of effort and money that goes into this gym for its members. I find it unacceptable considering the price of the membership. As a visiting member who’s home gym is in a different state this facility needs to go better for its members.
