Being a part of Authur Murray has been a wonderful and enlightening experience. As a non-dancer, I started this with my wife as a way to have some fun but it has quickly turned into a hobby and a full time schedule! The group classes are fun and exciting! Our personal lessons have been new and very rewarding! Definitely suggest everyone to try! Especially couples!

The best place to dance and meet friends! It’s a wonderful and fun place, which soon becomes part of your community. Karrie and Tod has created a wonderful studio, open to everybody at all levels! We went for a trial class, and now has been 3 years! No better place to learn how to danse and be part of a wonderful group of people. Recently started my ballroom dancing journey, and I’m loving it! 💃 It’s only been about two months, but it’s already been incredibly rewarding.

I was a little nervous attending solo, but everyone has been lovely and welcoming. The instructors are patient and knowledgeable, and there’s always something fun happening, from classes to parties and special events.

Arthur Murray in Guilford is a great studio to learn to dance! All the teachers are excellent, encouraging, but kind too! You meet lots of other people and probably make friends too. Throughout the year they have fun and exciting events that you can attend to dance in or watch others showing their amazing skills in ballroom dance. AMG is a great place for me not just for the dances that I am learning, the confidence in myself I am building, but the friendships I have made!

My wife and I have had the pleasure of taking lessons at Arthur Murray in Guilford for about 2 months now. They taught us a routine to perform at a fundraising event. We cannot stop going back for lessons, group dances, and parties!
This is the third or fourth time we've taken lessons at different studios, and Arthur Murray of Guilford is by far the best. Their teachers and ownership are 100% supportive, totally encouraging, and know how to get the best out of you and meet you where you are. My wife and I have so much fun going and we look forward each week to learning, pushing ourselves, and having a great time with our teacher Teresa. If you have never learned ballroom dance before, or you've been dancing for a really long time, this is a place you need to go!

I have a wonderful dance night over here. People wore so welcoming and friendly. I am really thankful for allowing me to join them and I will definitely return when I can. I encourage people to go and dance here, take some dance lessons. Release some of the daily stress and just enjoy some good music meanwhile you learn to dance and let the rhythm go in your body. :)

I signed up for lessons to prepare for the father-daughter dance at my daughter’s upcoming wedding. Theresa was an excellent instructor, and took me from having two left feet to the point where I feel confident about my “moment” with my daughter. She also taught me several other dances so I can enjoy dancing to all varieties of music that will be played. Great job Theresa!

I love Arthur Murray of Guilford. My friend gifted me lessons for my birthday this spring. We have lessons with one instructor and have enjoyed group lessons with the other instructors and students as well. We grin like idiots at each other through every lesson, we’re having so much fun.

Our instructors have an amazing way about them, so positive and motivational, that we feel accomplished after every lesson. I know it can be frustrating being a beginner learner, but we always leave each lesson feeling as though we have at least a rudimentary grasp of the fancy we studied. They are almost magical in their approach to teaching dance.

Arthur Murray of Guilford is a fantastic studio where you can learn dance and enjoy dancing socially. I highly recommend them.

For fear of messing up our Wedding first dance, we finally decided to try professional help. We were greeted by Kerry at the front desk who introduced us to our instructor, Theresa. She spent some time with us getting to know us and then coaxed us onto the dance floor. She had us trying a few simple steps. Theresa showed great patience with us and even made ours mistakes a fun, learning experience. By the end of the first lesson, we were actually moving in unison.
With only two weeks until the big day, Theresa worked with us on a routine to our first dance song. We expected to just learn a simple 1,2,3,4 dance step. By the last class, we had a dance routine that included spins and dips. We even added an upbeat number to keep up the young guests at the wedding.
Thank you to Theresa and the rest of the instructors for making our first dance truly memorable. And yes, we enjoyed ourselves so much and found a new passion, that we signed up for additional lessons.

My wife and I had wanted a cute dance for our wedding and both also have 4 left feet between us so we scheduled a time to meet and see if it was something within our reach. We were amazed by how quickly Karrie got in touch and got us in, Megan was our instructor and Wow is all we can say she was compassionate, patient, and so very personable. I was nervous to take lessons without a partner but was made to feel comfortable right away . The atmosphere is very fun and upbeat, and the availability of the studio provides plenty of opportunity for practice, in a group or individually.
My instructors were kind, inclusive and very talented at actually teaching someone with two left feet how to dance..

Manny was also a tremendously fun group class coach. If you’re debating booking a few sessions for your wedding, do it ! I contacted Arthur Murray when my son set his wedding date. Although he lived in the mid west and I was here in Connecticut, I wanted to learn some dance steps that I could spontaneously apply to his lead during the Mother/Son dance.
I was introduced to Chantelle. She understood my lack of confidence and helped me overcome that. She is very talented, makes everything seem so easy, and taught me basic steps that I will use forever.
The atmosphere is one of fun, the whole staff is great, and I thoroughly enjoyed every lesson.

From the moment we walked in to the studio, Todd made us feel at home and was patient with us as my fiance and I have never taken dance lessons before. We were taking lessons for our wedding day and wanted it to be perfect! When my husband and I started taking lessons for our wedding, we had no idea we'd enjoy it this much! Almost 7 months after the wedding and we're still taking lessons. The Guilford team is so friendly and welcoming! Coming in with no background in dance and very little confidence in my ability to dance, I'm amazed at the progress we've made. Arthur Murray Dance Center in Guilford CT is fantastic. My wife and I have learned to Waltz, Foxtrot, Swing, Cha-Cha, Hustle and Salsa. The staff are friendly, immensely talented and fun. There are many evening events scheduled throughout the year with other Arthur Murray centers joining in. We truly enjoy dancing now and wish that we had started years ago. We all know that there's not a single person who isn't impressed by a good dancer. Dancing is a great way to exercise and it's so much better than going to a gym. Over the last 15yrs of dancing intermittently at different Arthur Murray studios, this studio has been my most favorite one of them all. The team of instructors are upbeat and positive individuals who make every person who enters the studio feel warmly welcomed.
No matter the skill level or frequency desired for anyone wanting to dance, the team is willing to customize a program or plan to fit the need.
And after dancing with other studios and instructors over the last decade and a half, it was at Arthur Murray Guilford studio, with Karrie, Todd, Chantelle and Manny where I caught the inspiration to take my dancing beyond “casual, occasional hobby” to performance and competition levels.
Even better, my husband decided to join me and now enjoys his own lessons and competition as well.
Better still, we’ve made some dear friends of other students whom we look forward to spending time with on or off the dance floors.
