I've been attending Balance Fitness since February 2025 and I absolutely love it! I was never one for large gyms or big fitness classes; I always preferred working out at home. But after doing some research online and meeting with Dave, the owner of Balance Fitness, I was completely convinced.

The gym itself is small, and I get to work one-on-one with my personal trainer, Ella, who is truly fantastic. She provides such personalized attention, always works with my schedule, and has been instrumental in improving my form. Ella has also created a tailored workout plan specifically for my age and goals.

After just four months at Balance Fitness, I'm already down over 30 lbs and genuinely seeing incredible results. This place feels like a small community, and I love being a part of it. I highly recommend Balance Fitness to anyone looking for a personalized gym and personal training spot to genuinely meet their fitness goals.

About 3 months ago I decided it was “time”. I had neglected working out for too long, I was always tired, and frankly didn’t feel good about myself. I tried other small, local gyms which are great for many folks, but weren’t for me. Then one day, I sent an inquiry to Balance. David was quick to respond but in no way pushy. We chatted on the phone, and he was all about ‘fit’ between us, and to make sure it was the right partnership. I told him all I want to do is “pick things up and put them down” (#IYKYK 😉) to which David said “We are going to get along just fine!”.

Here I am 3 months later, still showing up 3x/week at the crack of dawn (or so it feels) and it never feels like a chore, and dare I say I actually look forward to working out! My strength has increased like crazy, I have more energy than I can say I’ve ever had, and I’m seeing so much progress that I want to keep going with no end in sight.

Balance is amazing. David is a rockstar. All I can say is THANK YOU!!!

I've been going to Balance Fitness and Training with Joe now since August. I really enjoy it. The sessions fly by and I'm amazed at how much I am improving. I've lost some weight slowly, but more importantly , I haven't been injured while running my dogs in agility since I have started training there. Balance fitness is truly unlike any other place! The individual way that they train each person not only from an exercise standpoint, but also from a nutritional standpoint is second to none! In addition, every piece of equipment in their gym is of the highest quality level! Dave is fantastic in his knowledge of exercise mechanics as well as nutritional facts regarding intermittent fasting. In addition I do training with Joe and he has been fantastic! I have a lot of issues that make me rather challenging, Ha ha ha (Joe will laugh in agreement when he reads this!) But Joe finds a way to make every exercise work so that it doesn’t bother my ailments and I am still making huge forward progress! Therefore, I trust them completely, and have been able to increase my strength and fitness level far beyond what I have in many years! I highly recommend coming here if you want the BEST! I give them 5++ stars!!

Balance is the real deal. As I can personally attest, my story being that about five years ago I was the electrical contractor wiring Labyrinth Brewery in the space above Balance’s facility. I had a herniated disc - the worst pain I’ve ever had in my life - and David would see me struggling to walk day after day and would offer to help me. So one day I said to myself screw it why not give it a shot, surgery was a last resort so didn’t want to do that. Needless to say I am pain free, play sports again, and have David and his team at Balance to thank for that. And yes I’m still going there to this day!

I have been a client at Balance for 4+ years now and train there 4x/wk. Dave has dedicated clients who have been with him far longer than me, which only shows how good he and his crew are at their job.
Another of Dave’s talents is addressing issues when there is an injury. He has worked on both of my knees and my back and does an incredible job releasing the tension for freer movement and greater strength. Can’t say enough good about his talents as a trainer and a “physical therapist”.

Really awesome place. The trainers are great and really helpful when learning new exercises and making sure I use correct form. They have all the equipment you need and everything is in good condition. Best of all, it's not over-crowded like regular gyms. Highly recommended.

My wife began having pain in her back, determined to be a symptom of weakening glute and leg muscles (not fun getting older!).
After just a few visits to Balance, she noticed her back pain disappearing -- and opted to continue to work with their trainers to regain the strength she'd lost over the years. The trainers developed personal programs and offered alternatives that best fit her current abilities -- with a phased plan to continue improvement. She got stronger, but also increased neck and shoulder flexibility that had taken a toll from years of sitting in front of an office computer. Highly recommend you give this a try so you can experience the benefits!

When I started seeing Dave in December 2019, I frankly thought I would learn a few new workouts and call it a day after a couple months. Now, almost 7 months later, I have seen incredible progress. My low back pain is significantly diminished, and I'm looking stronger and leaner. I'm doing exercises I never thought I was capable of doing, and the effect that has had on my confidence is HUGE. I cannot say enough good things about Dave and the guys. I stumbled across Balance Fitness about 4 months ago now. Simply put, its been a truly life changing experience. I've completely revamped my diet (with Dave's help of nutritional guidance and meal prepping), lifestyle, and have never felt better mentally or physically. The 1-1 training I have is incredible. All the work is done for me, all I do is show up ready to work and boy do I work! In the four months I've been training I've dropped 21lbs, and I have 5 more months to go on my program. At the end of the workout, I get a solid stretch and cool down, as I have a weak lower back. The attention to detail on making sure I'm pain free after my butt-kicking is huge. If you're looking for an experience you can't get anywhere else, Balance Fitness is the play for you! I recommend it to ANYONE!

Dave Bertrand is simply the best there is! If you are looking for someone with corrective exercise experience to help you through some injuries Dave is your man. He is great with other personal fitness goals too but I needed help to move past some old injuries. I am not sure where I would be if it was not for Dave. He is knowledgeable and has taught me some great skills that I use when we are not able to get together. Dave is especially good with deep tissue work which I usually get done to release knots in my back, hips, and thighs. Go see Dave at Balance Fitness you won’t regret it! I drive about 45 minutes to get to Dave and I would do another hour because he is that good.

As a type 1 diabetic and a Registered Nurse, it is very difficult to find a trainer that truly has an understanding of this disease process. You tend to get categorize in the type 2 diabetes genre. When I first met David it was apparent he was very knowledgeable and had a very good understanding of both types of diabetes and the differences between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. He understood that there was more than just perfect eating and weight lifting in order to get me into the shape that I wanted to be in. David dedicated a lot of time on and off the clock in order for me to reach my goals. Thank you David for keeping me in a category of my own. This place really is the best!
After reaching a point where I felt I had nothing else to lose I found myself at Balance Fitness & Health working with Sean. Since the beginning there hasn't been a session where I didn't feel completely encouraged, and supported yet truly challenged all at the same time. Weight loss was my main goal and I quickly saw real results, losing 62lbs in 5 months. But what I realized after a few months was that I was happy again. Maybe that's not measurable, but Sean gave me back my life in so many ways! I also have a partially fused wrist and several other orthopedic injuries. Other programs/trainers have made me feel limited and I spent time siting on the sidelines having been given exercises that were physically impossible for me. Sean has never once made me feel limited, or has he ever given me an exercise I couldn't do. The individual programs he writes for me along with his vast knowledge of strength training, nutrition and his genuine interest in me and my life has all lead to an overall experience I could have never dreamed of. I feel healthier, stronger, energized and incredibly lucky to have both Sean and Dave in my life.

David Bertrand is a brilliant trainer. I came to Balance with horrible knee pain in both knees after suffering through physical therapy and sports medicine, which did help but not 100%. Working with David, however, completely eliminated my knee pain through simple strength and flexibility. He quickly identified the weaknesses and dysfunctions which were limiting me and immediately set to work on a custom program designed around my needs. He pushed me to expand my limits without ever putting my health in danger, and I am stronger than I have ever been. I even lost 30 lbs in the process. Knee pain is a thing of the past for me, and I have a new outlook on exercise.
