I stopped by Big Sky just to grab a shake and ended up having such a great experience. Danny was phenomenal super friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer a couple of questions I had about the gym while I was there. The shake was awesome, and the customer service was even better. Update: Big Sky reached out directly to process the cancellation, and also to clarify that CT regulation specifies a 25 mile radius vs Big Sky’s 15, which is generous as it is.

Thanks guys, I do wish you’re closer fwiw, will keep an eye out as yall expand your footprint.

The catch with this great gym is the cancellation policy…at least a medical condition precluding physical activity or a move outside a 15 mile radius of the nearest location.

Otherwise you are locked in for the remainder of the term. Yeah.

Big Sky Simsbury is a very welcoming gym, always clean, with lots of machines and many workout options.
I’ve been training there for over two years with my personal trainer Sarah, and she’s amazing! I had never worked out before, and she was so patient and supportive. Now I actually enjoy going to the gym and I’ve learned so much from her.

After providing all necessary information to cancel my membership after moving and being told by several employees my membership is canceled, I’m still getting charged. Do not sign up here it is impossible to cancel even when you have provided all necessary requirements. Customer service is a joke. I called multiple times and was told my membership is canceled and to expect a refund then through email they act like they don’t see my information. This place is a joke.

I’ve been here for about a month now and this has been the best gym I’ve ever been in hands down! The staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant-and create such a wonderful atmosphere to be in. I started training with Ryan pretty much as soon as I signed up, and he is just amazing. He’s been insanely helpful in my weight loss journey and is incredibly knowledgeable in what he does. His group sessions are always motivating, and I never feel like I am behind or looked over as I have felt in other places. I recommend all of my friends to go here, and can’t wait to make new ones that are already here! Plus-the shakes are the best.

Good facility to work out, keep updating their equipment which is good. The only complain is that they bump up the monthly fee automatically and leave it as an "open enrollment" after 1 year contract ends WITHOUT any notification/reminder. And there is no option to be reminded from the club or auto renewal for it.

That seems like they want to all the members to forget the renewal and pay more. If that's not the intension of it, hope they give a reminder to every members at their end of their contract.

I've been a member of several gyms in my time, but Big Sky Gym in Simsbury stands out in a great way. It's clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a clean and friendly environment. Also, the cost of the membership is well below what I've paid for lesser gyms in the past. So it's a great value for a great price!

I do have to mention, though, if you're coming in during peak hours, be prepared for a bit of a tight squeeze in the parking lot. It's really the only downside I’ve noticed.

Predatory membership cancellation policies. Doesn't matter if you follow the contract which I did. They sell it to 3rd party and then try to fraudulently deny clearly written emails. They just try to make it a big enough pain that its not worth your time to fight for a few months of subscription money. Gym policies like this are exactly why the gov passed 'click to cancel' laws.

I never would have thought of myself as a gym rat, but now after 9 years of going to Big Sky almost daily, I guess I am. I look forward to the warm smile and greeting I get every morning from staff and my neighbors - it has almost become like a town square for me. Whenever I have had a concern the managers have been quick to address it. Most importantly for me though, it is a quiet place where I can go focus on my health, wellness and fitness. When I started at Big Sky, I had barely exercised in more than 20 years, weighed a good solid 40 lbs more than I do now, and was in pretty poor health. I am so much stronger now. The team at Big Sky welcomed me and helped me make that possible.
