Have been going to this studio for 15 years+
The best teachers, atmosphere, friendly yoga community and spacious, clean and welcoming space. This hot yoga is traditional and stays consistent throughout the years from the room temp to technique, every class only gets better (and more challenging) with your body’s progress

I love this studio so much I drive 30 minutes to get here. Very hot studio, great instructors, and everything you could ask for from this style of yoga. If you’ve never tried it, give it a chance. It is life changing!

This is not just a class, its a family .
Tried a class in May and wasn't sure if I could handle it. Now I am a regular.
What I learnt...
Push through your fears coz one day, your fear becomes your comfort (please factor your medical conditions before you start)
The instructors are superb and really go out of their ways to know your needs, limitations and help you with the classes.
Alina, thank you for your time and concern .Your recommendations have truly changed my life!
Steve, you constantly motivate the students sharing your stories and make them feel a part of the family.
Heather And Leah.. thank you for your time and patience with us.

I encourage everyone to try a class at Bikram Yoga, Danbury

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the studio, the teachers, and all the positive changes my husband and I have noticed in ourselves since first starting here at BYD. The classes are intense and rewarding, the studio is clean, welcoming, and peaceful, the teachers are such pros and give every class 100% of their energy and care. We have gotten to know many "regulars" over the past few months, because the community that this studio fosters is so strong and kind, and the classes are just that good that everyone finds themselves coming back time and time again! Do your body, mind, and heart a favor and give BYD a try!

As we all know, Bikram Yoga is full of constants - 26 postures in 90 minutes with heat and humidity. Complementing the constants are the dedicated teachers and studio owners at Bikram Yoga Danbury. The teachers are invested and put so much of themselves into the dialogue - that it's hard not to do your best. Every class is a beginner class, and everyone is welcome. Try Bikram Yoga Danbury- your body will thank you. Namaste

I had a very upsetting experience tonight at Bikram Yoga of Danbury.
I was very excited to go to a hot class this afternoon at 4:30. I planned my day, after I taught my class this am, around getting to Danbury, which is 45 min away, on time so that I could just get into the hot room and be guided through my practice, my meditation, the time I carved out of my day to get to my mat.
I love Bikram yoga, I have been practicing for over 20 years, I am a certified Hot Yoga instructor, I have certified over 50 people to teach Hot yoga, and have a very large student base in the Hudson Valley as well, the proud owner of a successful Hot Yoga studio for many years.
I have had two hip replacements most recently and trying to navigate my practice ( as it looks and feels very different now). It is not what it used to be and I accept my constraints.)
Alina, the owner taught the class. I was very grateful to get to class on time and just wanted to practice.
I think that Alina could see that I was not a stranger to the practice, and sort of didn't really need much instruction or correction. I am always open to receive good feedback, and as a matter of fact I look for that when I attend another teacher's class.
Alina taught the tradional Bikram monolouge which , I take what I need and don't listen to what is absolutely not serving me.
I opted to grab my knee in Standing head to knee, she instructed me to grab my foot, which I shared about my hip replacements, which then she instructed me to take my arms by my side. I did what she asked.
I was really needing the heat and trying to just get quiet and feel my body as we moved in a new more cautious way for today.
At the end of class, seated twist, Alina wanted me to grab my inner thigh ( optional I would say), she repeated for me what she felt was "right" according to Bikram or whomever. I told her that I wasn't going to do that.
We had a conversation after class, where I thanked her for her guidance, but shared that I knew my body and had much experience in this style of yoga. She then told me that when I go to her studio, that I should respect what she teaches....
I get it, I used to be that studio owner, who had to have everyone do what I thought was right for them. Over the years I have come to understand that it is not about ME at all! If a student is doing something that might be harmful for them, they are inexperienced and need some gentle guidance, or maybe help someone verbally, in a postive manner ,to go to another place. One where they may not have knoweledge of. Otherwise I sort of let each student that comes to my classes, find their way. Have a nice experience, one that is gentle, yet strong.... kind, compassionate, encouraging. I give my students space to navigate whatever it is that they came in with. My point is, while there were many other people in class who were needing some real guidance. Yet did it matter so much to Alina that my hand placement was "wrong" and not the way Bikram says to do it?
I will never be going back to this studio! I wasted 3 hours of my time and class money and gas money. Terribe experience.

All the benefits that I get from being at Bikram Yoga Danbury cannot be expressed enough with words. It is a life changing experience. Mind completely focused, body flexible and strengthened, cleanses body inside and out. No need for any facials nor need to go to Florida during the cold winter months. I find myself surrounded by real people and GREAT TEACHERS who really care about each student. The studio is very clean and even has a acoustic piano on the floor! What more can one ask for? Come and check it out for yourselves.

Being a novice to yoga and especially Bikram yoga, I was very nervous about starting because I had never performed a yoga exercise in my life. However, after my first class I could not wait to book another class. The instructors and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The environment is very clean and safe, the studio is spacious. So, I highly recommend Bikram Yoga Danbury to anyone interested in taking control of their health, because the health benefits of Bikram yoga are truly amazing. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Since I started practicing at this studio 7 months ago, I am simply a nicer person. The tone is one of celebration of the shared effort it takes to β€œshow up” and do what you are able to on any given day. It is clear that the yogi’s take their craft seriously and are well-trained. Alina and Steve have helped build my confidence with their genuine love of Bikram yoga. It is contagious and can truly morph an otherwise myopic personality into a reflective and focused practitioner. I am indebted to Alina and Javier and actually look forward to the hard work it takes to be successful. I strongly recommend that if you are even remotely curious, devote 1 month to the practice and take classes with different instructors. It’s a process that takes time. One must feel safe to take risks. The rigor and energy it takes to get through a class is a joint effort between yogi and student and is unlike any other yoga that you've tried in the past. You will find the individual(s) that support your best effort and show you respect which in turn motivates you to come back for more.

I love this place! I have only just joined, a beginner with back and Achilles problems and was terrified to start. I’m about a month in and I have to say the people here are lovely. I love Alina, Nikki and Matt’s classes, but to be fair they are all really good. Don’t be afraid to try it out as an alternative therapy. I’ve tried chiropractors, acupuncture, massage etc. The lot! I have seem more improvement in a month that in a year doing the other things. It’s not easy I’m not going to lie, but anything worth having isn’t. Try it out.

I really liked this studio - the instructor was rock-solid and focused, and I felt like outside worries just melted away.

Room was well heated and very steamy - one of the hotter classrooms I have ever been to. They advise you to stand in the back if you are new to the studio - I misunderstood that to mean new to the yoga - and boy, did I ever pay for it! I think the added humidity and heat worked wonders in my hips though!

Bathrooms are nice and the showers were clean and supplied with shampoo and body wash.

Really friendly vibe and diverse group present, which I really like.

One note: The floor is kinda knotty and hard, which made me feel secure about cleanliness (not a real funky smell like in lots of studios) but is worth knowing if you have knee scars/issues - I slid off or hit it with my knee once or twice and it hurt!

Overall a lovely experience.

The best Bikram studio I have practiced at over the past 10 years. The owners - Alina and Javier are amazing people who really care about their members and have built a very strong community. No matter how much time I spend away from the studio, each time I come back it's still the best! If you are around the area, definitely go to Bikram yoga Danbury!

Life Changing Experience. The Best Decision I've ever made !
It was my first time doing hot yoga. I did not know what to expect, besides heat. Existing members were so friendly and the staff were so supportive; and professional. Throughout the class they were paying attention to how I was doing making sure I was okay. The atmosphere is so welcoming and calm. Ladies bathroom are clean, changing room has two standing showers. The owner Alina is so nice and enthusiastic.

If you are in the area, I definitely recommend this place. It is best place to relax and cleansing your soul and body.

Life is a journey. I am so glad that this place is part of my journey now.

Love
Angela

Very hot, as it should be, great variety of teachers, all positions very good if back is not as strong ad it could be, the exercises really help and one is told to listen to your own body and do what is right for you on the day.
Good monthly rate
