I originally joined this gym a while back but canceled because it just wasn’t great. A friend recently convinced me to give it another shot since it’s super close to my house—but honestly, it’s even worse than before.

The Wi-Fi never works, the movie area is always glitchy or down, and there just isn’t enough equipment for everyone. There’s only one mirror, and people camp out in front of it forever. I can barely get through a full workout without waiting around or skipping exercises because machines are taken.

To top it off, the customer service is pretty unhelpful and hard to deal with. I really wanted to make it work because of the location, but it’s just not worth the hassle. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Ridiculous policy when you want to cancel you membership. We have been trying to cancel since March and are still being charged despite numerous phone calls and emails. Went there in person to cancel and told we were "all set" until we saw the next charge on our credit card. Spoke with Brad the manager on more than one occasion, followed the directions to send another email, and were charged AGAIN. Then told that we didn't respond to their inquiry on whether we wanted to "freeze" our membership and that is why we are still being billed. If someone requests a cancellation, you CANCEL!! This runaround is crazy and we will have to resort to disputing the charges. BEWARE of their scam and think carefully before handing over your credit card to this place!!!!!!

Used to be great, but been going downhill for the last few years, especially since the fire in 2020. The studio room where classes were held was never fixed: it had no heat in the winter (to the point people wore hats and jackets in class until warmed up and used space heaters, we could see our breath indoors!), no AC in the summer, only 2 out of 4 fans worked for years (basically inhumane conditions), mirror was never reinstalled, regardless of multiple requests to fix by members via surveys and direct reach outs, never even acknowledged. Constant turnover in management, who simply doesn't care. Yet, loyal members kept showing up for classes despite all that, until they just canceled all classes yesterday without any notice or communication to members. We found out from instructors. Called the gym to confirm, and an arrogant assistant manager Brad (who's probably there and gone in a hot second like many others) basically could care less about concerns or needs of a loyal group of members who enjoyed their classes for years, he was extremely dismissive. Sadly, I will be canceling my membership after 10+ years. If you're looking for a gym that values their members and loyalty, this is not the place for you. Very disappointing.

DO NOT SIGN UP HERE. Staff makes it impossible to cancel, even with for reasons included in their contract. If you decide bring a friend they will automatically be bombarded with automated calls, texts, and emails asking to join their gym. They are EXTREMELY aggressive and do not stop calling. Bathrooms are also gross and often not functioning. Contract fees are misleading. Staff, despite a friendly composure, pretend to be helpless, ask for tons of unnecessary documentation for cancelling, and deflect all issues during the cancellation process.

Chase the manager got me signed up today and was super helpful. Pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to other gyms. The theater room is actually super cool, you can watch a movie while on the treadmill and it's a lot more private than the rest of the gym. 24/7 access is a big plus.

Pros: The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The facility offers a large number of well maintained treadmills, stationary bikes, both traditional and recumbent, elliptical machines, a rowing machine, and two stairclimbers. There seems to be an adequate number of dumbbells, barbells and free weights, as well as newly installed floor pads and racks for those serious about lifting. There are numerous weight machines, medicine balls, and ropes. There is a sizable turf area to do core work, but you should bring your own floor mat.

The place is relatively clean, including the locker room (women’s) changing area, toilets, and shower stalls. There is an adequate supply of hand soap and toilet tissue, and a hand dryer and a blow dryer are available. There are multiple dispensers for sanitizing wipes for cleaning the equipment.

CONS: The shower head in one stall has been malfunctioning since I joined over 2 years ago. The lockers are too short to be practical, so my clothes touch the bottom, not great if it’s raining and my shoes are wet.

The terms of membership and staffing have been modified numerous times since I joined, so now it’s open 24x7, but staff are available much less often. In order to access the gym after staff leave, you must have a premium membership, which was not the case when I signed up.

Membership at Club 24 in Newtown is very affordable and management has done a decent job updating the facilities.

From the moment Veronica signed me up I knew I was going to like this gym. Everyone is super awesome and goes out of their way to say hello. The weights and cardio setup just makes sense. Very CLEAN and cool environment. There is a large open room that's perfect for practicing dance fighting. A movie theater and massage chairs round out an overall 5 star experience. Izzy, Gabby and everyone else working the desk could not be nicer.

This is a decent gym that is close to home. The new transition to 24 hours is a great bonus, and you can't beat the price for a now 24/7 gym. The staff here are always super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I just really wish they would have some yoga mats available to do abs/stretching. It's really an inconvenience having to bring my own. Even Planet Ftiness offers mats...come on now.

As usual, the locker room was clean, access was easy the equipment was clean. However, some of the equipment is out of service that should not be taking long to repair. If it’s being properly maintained the floor area had dirt all over it like somebody tracked mud into the club it would be nice if there is a self service vacuum in the corner so that people could clean up messes they made after hours.

Club24 has done a complete 180 since Veronica has become manager. As a gym goer at this facility for almost 7 years, this young woman has gotten more done in the short amount of time she has become manager, out of any manager (and there have been many) that has been there.
She’s gotten new equipment that was sorely needed, instigated a deep clean that was also needed and has boosted the overall vibe of inclusivity, fun and kindness.

Reading through the reviews I totally understand everyone's frustration with previous management. I've been a member for almost about a year and the first couple months were really rough. I felt like management was really unreceptive to any complaints; machines were very out of service and ignored. However, in the last couple months, they've gotten a new manager Veronica and the place has really changed for the better. There are new rules and requests about keeping the gym, clean and available for others to use; such as a requirement to re-rack weights. Every time I walk in, the manager is always listening to customer feedback and trying to improve the gym. I swear it seems like she knows every member and greets everyone with a friendly smile. She is buying new machines and keeping the place up-to-date. I can't wait to see how it keeps improving under her leadership. I know this place may have left a bad taste in your mouth before, but give it a second chance and you won't regret it.

I signed up for a trial pass a year ago. I have been called and texted by their staff every other day since. I have on SIX seperate occasions asked to be removed from their list. The last time was last month, and I am STILL being phoned. If you're thinking about getting a membership please read the other reviews here first. Y'all are not paying your employees enough to be this annoying.

i've recently quit squatting but another squat rack would be in everyones best interest
