Attended for a fall ball travel tournament.
No outside food or drink is said to be allowed. I did call the manager about my son's food allergy. He was very accommodating and pleasant. No special documentation was required to bring in food for our family to assure no cross contamination exposure.
Coolers, wagons, bags, etc. we're actually not checked for anyone on our team ever.
We saw people bringing in bags of McDonald's.
For our early morning game, many people ordered door dash or brought in breakfast take out due to no breakfast food options being available.
The menu is VERY LIMITED and though promised to be "affordable," I could see how it could be a financial (and gastric AND nutritional) burden to families. Chicken tenders, fries, burgers, hot dogs, nachos, soft serve ice cream, soda, Gatorade, mozzarella sticks, beer, and hard seltzer.
I would say, being more nutritionally conscious, most families do not include these foods in their diet. Let alone for an entire weekend.
The grounds are packed pretty tight with turfed baseball fields and one set of metal bleachers per team by the dug out. This leaves an awkwardness for spectators to set up a space of their own with canopies etc. And there is zero shade.
The bathrooms are a bit of a walk away from the fields. Definitely a burden for elderly or physically impaired guests.
Parking is okay. I wouldn't park close to the main building though, in foul ball territory. We saw a bunch of cars get hit.
I did appreciate the netting over the bleachers and concessions area.
There are batting cages way off beyond the fields but no great warm up/ pre game practice areas.
Infield is turf. Outfield is grass. Under 13U bases are VERY close.

Agree with another review about the fields and parking. Grandson's baseball team came for a tournament but discovered that no coolers or bottles/drinks allowed in the park after paying admission. Parents had brought Gatorade and water to keep the boys hydrated on a hot summer day but it seems that this seems to be a cash grab since you have to get drinks from the concession or walk back to the car to try and sneak a drink in.

garbage turf fields and pitching mounds. pay to watch your kid play and scoreboard doesn't work. kids getting hurt on turf and falling off mounds should be a liability for this place. our catcher left mid-game to go to urgent care cause of this place. unacceptable

They charge to get in, which is no big deal, but thereβs no covered seating and the turf baseball fields need updating. The pictures make the complex look much nicer than it actually is. The food is mostly fried food at the snack bar. The umpires are home cooking and want Connecticut teams to win so they call it in their favor. It happened several times and with multiple teams. If you are a team from outside of CT, donβt waste your money. There was a NY team who were beyond angry with the terrible calls. The umpire was making sure that the CT teams were moving on. Considering that in several divisions, it was two CT teams battling it outβ¦ point made!

Went there for a birthday party. The kids had fun so it wasn't a total loss. The girl who was serving food was handing out chicken tenders with her fingers. That's disgusting. When I asked her to get tongs or something to serve the food with she said I just washed my hands. Gross. The whole staff was pleasant but dressed very unprofessional. Our waitress had on a hoodie and hopefully shorts. But they must have been too short to even see with the hoodie. No uniform or even t shirts with the company logo on it.

The place is very comfortable and we use it to meet friends and practice soccer on Wednesdays and Fridays for more than 10 years, but last night we were victims of a racist employee who insulted the entire team and made us of the place demanding that we never return, this due to an error in the time control by one of the new employees of the premises who then approached and tried to explain his confusion, it has been two months that we have seen this new employee and he gives the It is a coincidence that we are not the only ones since after the altercation members of the other teams approached us to show solidarity and to express that they are also victims of this employee. We only demand respect and good treatment because as good customers we always make correct use of the place and As always, we emptied their refrigerators, consuming all the product from the bar. Now to complete, after selling us his product (beer) the same employee calls the police to remove us from the place, in 10 years we have not received as much bad treatment as in these two months π€·ββοΈ I think the owner of this complex committed a mistake when hiring this new guy

This is a busy place with constant baseball tournaments and other events. Parking is adequate but you may have a long walk to the entry gate since the parking lot runs parallel to the facility.
The fields are all artificial turf and kept in good condition. The entire park is well maintained and clean. The restrooms are reasonably clean but can be a long walk depending on which ballfield you are coming from.
Night lighting is good both on and off the field. The food at the concession stands is about what you would expect but the wait time can be excessively long at 10 to 15 minutes plus.
Spectator views from the aluminum stands can be severely limited due to blockage by the dugouts and the type of fencing used. I am not an expert on fencing but there has to be a better way to allow views of the game. It always about the money so I am guessing that the thick linkage used in the fencing is the cheapest way to go. I have been to other ball parks where a nearly invisible netting is used which allows spectators to actually get a great view of the game.
The view is OK from the outfield fence, but you are too far away to satisfactorily see the game.

This place has some nice fields. Lots of games going on - soccer and baseball. They had an indoor facility, not sure what was in there but it said family fun center on the side. One thing, the fields arenβt being your own chair friendly. We stood on the side of a hill which hadnβt seen a lawnmower is a few weeks.

This is a great place and there is nothing like this in Rhode Island. I would really love it if Rhode Island would build something like this. It makes having a tournament so much better. It's more comforting to bring your family and children to an establishment like this also. The only addition that I would think they could use is a playground for families with children. The concession stand was extremely reasonably priced, and the food was decent enough. I can't wait to come back.

Nice indoor soccer fields, four of them in total. Plenty of room for a 7v7 youth game. Turf is a little thicker so the ball won't travel as fast along the ground.
Warning: in winter it is COLD inside. No one was prepared for how cold it was going to be in there. No heat. No concessions were open. If they were open, they would have made a killing on hot cocoa! Several parents left to find the nearest Starbucks and being back hot drinks.
Also warning, no bleachers. Bring fold up chairs and stake out a spot early. There is not much room for seating unless you get lucky and one field next to your game isn't being used which was our case today. Managed to get good spots on the field to watch but I imagine that doesn't happen a lot.
Bottom line: come prepared! Nice facility tho.

These great soccer fields and baseball fields are maintained very well, the whole complex is beautiful and easy to access. Whoever thought it was a good idea to serve alcohol at youth sporting events is a genius!! Parents ruin youth sports on a regular day. Then throw in unlimited amounts of alcohol and look out. Worst baseball tournament I've ever been to due parent behavior. Not many areas to watch the game and see the whole field. To top it off you had to pay admission for this wonderful experience!!

This is a small complex with both indoor fields in a dome and outdoor turf soccer pitches, as well as baseball diamonds. The is seating along the sidelines and even in a covered bench area around some fields. We were here for a soccer camp and while small, they seemed to si a nice job accomodating.

Attended soccer ID camp here for 3 days during a heat advisory.
Good: turf fields well maintained. Bubble with nice field for poor weather. Able to handle large number of people indoors and on fields.
Bad: no food/water on site. very steep hills to get to soccer fields and not easy to get from field to field for the disabled. No disabled parking at the bubble. Not enough disabled parking at the top parking lot. Inside areas have no air conditioning.

Nice bubble facility. Was there for baseball practice. The teams had plenty of room, and were able to run many drills. Room for spectators was a bit tight. Other than that the 4 soccer fields looked well maintained, and in good condition.
Was there for a baseball tournament over a weekend. It was a long couple of days with a lot of baseball. The facility was nice, had a decent snack stand until they started to run out of things, but this was an early spring tournament. It was good the snack stand was there because there wasn't much close by to grab food quickly.

My 10 year old son and myself have been coming to sportsplex and renting a tunnel for baseball practice for over 3 years now, we are regular customers but more frequent in the off season December - early March. The associate/attendant have been very courteous and helpful. We understand that towards the middle of February-June the facility tends to be busy and the tunnels and indoor practice areas are booked for local team practices; we go regularly on Sunday afternoon and are very flexible with availability. On February 13 we called to reserve a tunnel for 3:00, the associate, (very courteous), checked with supervisor and stated supervisor said no availability, team practicing at 3:30, I asked if available for 2, and asked about availability of the 2 new tunnels, she stated that facility is booked for entire day. My son really wanted to go, so we drove and arrived at 3:45, the 2 new tunnels were not being used and the lights were not on, I asked the attendant, (very courteous, kind) who was very busy assisting kids with arcade and game assistance if any tunnels were available, she had to ask supervisor ,(young woman wearing baseball cap)who was standing on the side of counter, the supervisor said no availability, in arrogant manner, I asked about the 2 new tunnels that were empty without any lights on, she said they are reserved for another team. I mentioned that we come every week and the supervisor didn't even acknowledge me with any concern.
I don't like writing negative comments, but I called earlier in day trying to reserve practice tunnel while being considerate, flexible and understanding that there are teams beginning their off-season practicing. The supervisors arrogant manner and non caring attitude towards a customer, need less to say I have been a consistent frequent customer for years is unacceptable and represents a very negative attitude that was noticed by my 10 year old son, he really enjoys the hour that we spend there practicing baseball, and kept asking why we couldn't use the new tunnels that were available and empty. I understand that the facility is busy, but being a frequent paying customer for years, I find this type of customer service unacceptable and will be looking for another type of facility to use with less arrogance from supervisor/customer relations. I would suggest some type of customer relations training for this particular supervisor and understanding that KIDS/young athletes look forward to the time at the facility.
There was availability, we called earlier and we're flexible with schedule to use facility, and went to facility and seen empty tunnels. The supervisors attitude is not respectful towards myself and my son, who WERE regular customers.

You canβt bring food in but the snack bar isnβt open for early games and only serves junk food and fried stuff. You have to pay to watch your kid play. Bleachers were broken or dirty. There is no shade anywhere. No score boards being operated. Balls bounce into fields where games are played and umpires expect players to get them, waiting in adjacent fields for innings to complete to retrieve balls. They should at least have enough balls to get through an inning and not expect players to leave their game for extended periods. Umpire made games all about him, blowing up at players over nothing and holding up the game to talk to parents. When a scout arrived he got worse, putting on a huge performance to draw attention to himself. Turf is in bad shape. Worst venue weβve been to in 13 years.

Once upon a time a really special place. Having been going there for the past 6 years now, the wear and tear is obvious. Despite charging admission for spectators and fairly sizeable tournament fees, very little of that money is going into the upkeep of the turf. None of the scoreboards appear to be working as I've never seen them on. Baseball tournaments are poorly run with umpires being asked to ump 4 to 5 games a day, and it shows. They serve alcohol at the location which always ends up in rude abusive fans leading to altercations with umps. Just a poorly managed facility yet is still a cash cow for the owners. Would love if someone bought this place and gave it some TLC, would go a long way.

Baseball diamonds, a building to go in that was large enough to hold at least 350 people. Fields need maintenance, holes in turf on multiple fields need to be fixed. Bathrooms were dirty and not stocked with toilet paper even first thing in the am. Food choices are limited and unhealthy, which is awful since you are prohibited from bringing your own food in, or even eating in their parking lots. Athletes, especially kids, do not need junk food while playing in a tournament. Pay to play in the tournament, then pay to enter, pay for water, etc....this place is just a money grab. This place needs a face-lift and some policy changes.

Top notch softball, baseball, soccer, etc facility, they have an indoor athletic field(winter) and top soft/baseball fields in new England,5 all turf infield, pristine grass outfield,2 outdoor 1 indoor food and beverage locations within facility, not a wide selection(I recommend going to outside establishments) spectator seating is limited and basic metal bleachers very uncomfortable (part of reason for 4 stars, the other is food and beverage quality) they do allow you to bring in your own seats but not much room to set them up to see games except for poor angles of viewing.. bottom line great place for participants not so much for the spectators, cover charge to get in 2$ for players and 3-5$for spectators I think might be less never came in as spectator

By far the WORST UMPIRES on the planet. Do not know the rules of the tournament, let alone basic baseball rules. They are poorly positioned as well (there were at least 5 x this weekend that I heard "I didn't see it on plays"). The facility gives you 2 used baseballs for each game and does it's best to get you off the field as quickly as possible. Nice facility but the umpires ruin it.

That did not happen at all. $5 admission. Games did not makes sense. 10 am game started at 925. New team did not get allotted time to warm up and practice. The game ended early and the 12pm game teams had 1 hour to warm up. That game started at 12. Food choices seemed decent. They serve beer. Lots of food choices close by.
