From the first session where he led a detailed discussion into my background and fitness goals, to our talks during sessions around my progress, it is clearly evident that Chris places a strong focus on understanding his client's needs. He works to develop and tweak routines that are right for their goals. Simply put, he is a very skilled coach/trainer with an impressive depth of knowledge. Working with Chris, he has developed a program that challenges me, provided an environment of support and encouragement, and shared his knowledge and expertise. Chris is to be counted among the best personal trainers in the state. Having had many extended postings around Connecticut, I am well familiar with the variety of trainers who ply their physical wisdom. Chris’s approach is always respectful, encouraging and very measured. He gives an excellent example to follow. in terms of living a disciplined lifestyle. He has a kind demeanor, excellent listening skills and a warm sense of humor. His technical knowledge of exercise greatly aided me through a period of injury. Because of his coaching, I have lost weight, eat better and found myself more able in completing tasks. The gym is always spotless and scheduling is very flexible. I highly endorse Crimson Fitness.

I really enjoy working with Chris. He takes the time to understand what you are trying to achieve from your sessions whether for sport (soccer for me) or general fitness and what your likes/dislikes are when it comes to training. I don’t have a lot of patience for mobility work and he manages to work it in so its either active or in a way I don’t mind doing. He’s always happy to answer questions and explain the why's of what he has programed, which I appreciate. He has a nice space to work out in with a good mix of equipment and structures the workouts he customizes for you in a way I really like. His enthusiasm for learning and training rubs off on you, even if you’ve walked in not feeling like getting a workout in, you always leave feeling better. Most importantly, I see results in increased strength, range of motion and general mobility all the things I was/am looking to improve.

I’ve known and trained with Chris for over 5 years. Here are 3 simple reasons I will always stick with him.
1). He is crazy knowledgeable in biomechanics, so he knows exactly how to get the results you are looking for based on your body type, level of fitness and goals.
2). He tailors the workout to you—no generic exercises like you find in generic gyms with trainers that change every 1-2 years.
3). He motivates without getting in your face, he listens to what you want and effectively modifies the workout as he gets to know you all the while challenging you. The results speak for themselves. Trust me, he is the Best.

I can't say enough about Chris Garrison the owner of Crimson Fitness.He an I have been working together for just over a year. He’s amassed loads of professional experience in various settings, is super bright when it comes to all of the biomechanics of the body and is able to articulate this information in a relatable way. He really takes the time to understand his clients, what their needs and goals are and when he doesn’t know something, he spends time researching and learning new things to see what might help. Most importantly he is absolutely passionate about what he does.
If anyone is looking for some personal training for any reason at all I would highly recommend him.

I can’t say enough good things about Chris and Crimson Fitness. I started with a plan to do strength training and have been so pleased with my results. Chris listens and gives a great amount of attention to to me individually and what would be best for me. Chris is a great trainer. First, he schedules a thorough meet and greet to learn about your health and fitness goals, does a brief assessment of your mobility, and then creates a workout plan to help you to achieve your goals over time. He is always willing to adjust as needed if you are hurt or injured, and is very attentive to ensure you have the correct form. If you are looking to get a good strength training workout Chris is your guy! Lastly, he will help make any modifications to ensure you are in the correct form and activating the proper muscle groups. If you have specific areas of focus Chris will be able to help you hone in on exercises that will improve your "weak" spots. Highly recommend!

Stumbled upon Crimson Fitness when I was on the hunt for a golf trainer – someone who could help me maximize my range of motion and to help with my rotational strength. While Chris probably wouldn’t call himself one, he has done an amazing job getting my body to move in ways it probably hasn’t since I was a teen. Chris is very focused on biomechanics and understanding how he can maximize strength and mobility while acknowledging the limitations inherent in each individual’s body. I’ve been seeing Chris for more than a year now and am as strong as I’ve ever been and driving the golf ball further than ever. One day I will forgive him his Crimson Tide fandom but for now I’ll tolerate it based on the amazing results I’ve seen. Highly recommended!

I am a pretty big mountain biker, and eight months ago, in the dead of winter, I was going a bit stir crazy because I could not ride with all the snow. I decided I needed to try something new so I decided I would try out the gym. I was intimidated at first and had no clue what I was doing. Needing some guidance, I turned to Chris at Crimson Fitness. He met with me one on one over a couple of weeks to get a feel of my fitness level. From there he was able to provide me with a personalized work out plan, taking away the nerves and frustration that I had being a new person trying the gym. He laid out a foundation for me to continue to keep with it. I initially thought that I would only be training during the winter, but with Chris’s guidance, I was able to find a new found love for the gym and have been going since. I am in the best shape I have been in my life, I feel confident, and Chris had a big part in that. Would definitely recommend him to anyone starting or for people looking to advance their training. He has a great space and is great to work with.
