The gym is great overall but just beware if you sign up trust me it will be hard to cancel your membership you’ll be charged a horrendous amount of fees. I applied for a membership in 2019 then when they closed down for a while during the pandemic in 2020 I forgot about having a membership they didn’t even bother giving me a call but sent me to collections without notice it was a hassle getting them off my credit report it took about 3 years for everything to be resolved. If you owe them anything make sure you pay and have them contact their agency to clarify that you paid what you owed. Your better off going to planet fitness COMMITMENT FREE‼️

I absolutely LOVE Crunch! I've been going to the Gym for over a year (Personal Training with Nino at that!), and the atmosphere is both inviting and motivating! The classes are HARD WORK, but no pain, no gain! Great environment to keep on crushin' those fitness goals!

I had been a member at Crunch since 2019, Day 1 of Crunch, and it was crazy to hear that! This gym was very accommodating to all types of people, whether this was your LIFE, something you do for fun, or if it was your first day in the gym. I really have no complaints about anything in here. Met a few people I can call friends, and the staff was always around and friendly. Worst part about it was I unfortunately had to cancel my membership due to moving too far away. The cancellation process was simple and quick, and again, that was my worst experience here; knowing it wasn’t my home gym anymore, and that I wouldn’t be coming here 5,6 days a week anymore. All in all, great gym, great staff, great pricing, this gym has it all and I’d recommend it to anyone!!

The gym is nice enough, but the predatory membership fees and cancellation policy is untenable. Moving out of state, I can't cancel online or by phone, and the gym requires "30 days advanced notice" of cancellation, which really means they get to charge me for a month I'm not going to use because they can. Anti-consumer and totally dishonest practice.

I’ve been going to this gym for a few months now. Recently, some of these kids, or even some young adults have been going around trying to start issues in this gym. One individual in particular has been fabricating stories and alleged that I even spoke to him about the weight he is using to complete an exercise. I don’t know what this “kids” problem nor do I know his name since he hasn’t been coming to this gym for that long. Nevertheless, I mind my business when in there and I strongly suggest that this “kid” do the same. Furthermore, it seems as if management and staff have fully received these falsehoods and bought in to the ignorance. I’m not sure who I should reach out to about this issue because I know people in local PD and FD in town here. Some of which even workout at this location. Maybe there is someone in corporate I could speak with about these allegations, and they could advise on my concerns.

Perhaps, the staff should investigate and ask questions to parties directly instead of going along with nonsense and being DISRESPECTFUL. Either way, something has to be done about this and these individuals causing problems, and their drama soon. Side bar, this is a commercial gym not your high school gymnasium. Do better!

Went in to cancel a membership with no issue on 10/5 and still ended up getting charged on 10/6. When I called to ask why I’d been charged for a month I am not going to be using the guy at the desk didn’t seem familiar with policies or why I was still billed. At first he said it was for last month, I questioned that because no place charges for the previous month, asked if I payed for a month I wouldn’t use, then he said oh “I heard you have to let us know 30 days in advance.” My year long contract expired a long time ago and I was in a month to month membership with no contract signed. Whoever owns it must be desperate for that extra money.

Terrible. I'm sad because what they promised is not being fulfilled. The agreement is that there would be someone to stay with the children every day from 4pm to 8pm. Unfortunately, the agreement is not being fulfilled. I don't know whose fault it is, but mine is not because the monthly fee is deducted from my account every month. And now I can see that it will be difficult to cancel the contract. I am very, very disappointed with the management of the academy.And I still had to give a star to be able to post.

Membership Cancelation is a nightmare even when your contract has expired. All kinds of fees popping up. I literally paid two memberships for a year and still could not get out this contract. I did learn a valuable lesson read the fine print and never do this gym thing again! The manager was friendly and politely helped me though.

This gym is cool. Staff are friendly. Zumba with Jesenia is so much fun she has a nice music selection, great energy, and felt like a dance party/full body workout. The kids club is nice, staff are great, kids get to do activities and they are in a location where you can see them through the glass if you want or hide from them. Lol. The gym is clean with plenty extra supplies if you want your own personal cleaning supplies while you work out. Mornings are quieter of course. Hours and location are convenient. This gym far exceeds the others that were at this location before.

I stopped here a few weeks ago for a workout while I was in the area. I was BLOWN AWAY by the cleanliness of this gym, especially the bathroom. I was also pleased to interact with some staff members who seemed genuinely happy to be working here. Jermar addressed me by name within minutes after meeting, which is a big plus in my book, and we had a great chat before I needed to hit the road. Talked a bit about the group ex classes, Kids Crunch (a huge perk of this location!) as well as other stuff. I've been to many gyms where the staff turnover is ridiculously high so I was so surprised to find out that Jermar has been there for a number of years and WANTS to be there, which tells me they're doing more right here than meets the eye which is amazing. A great facility with great staff makes for a great experience that I really do appreciate. I will 100% make my way back to this location whenever I'm in the area!

I feel very annoyed with the efficiency of quit my membership. I went here last week and the staff told me I need to come tomorrow because the manager was not here. However, this week I came again and the staff told me the manager was not here and I need to come again to quit my membership. I don’t understand why it is so hard to quit my membership!!! I came from Mansfield and it takes me 45 minutes to drive here and I can not quit my membership twice!!! I hope you guys never have the membership here because they WON’T LET YOU QUIT THE MEMBERSHIP AT ALL!!!

My wife and I joined Crunch Fitness after she was given a shift change from 2nd to 1st shift. Giving us the advantage of going to the gym to get back to getting fit with starting exercise routines. We were looking for a gym and found the Wethersfield location of Crunch fitness was the most convenient, being only 5+ minutes away. So we decided to go in for a consultation.

We were surprised with the facility, everything seem to be bright, shiny and new, specially considering the archetypal dark/black painted ceilings found in so many other gyms, it makes them seem like they were once auto repair shops...if not a long abandoned unsanctioned fight club, even now.
The brightness seem to prove color psychology with members and staff seeming to convey a better vibe.

As we entered we were welcomed by the most friendly staff member, [Assistant Manager] Jamar, who explained joining and cancelation and understood our gripe with what was standard practice with our old gym, "Work Out World", where signing up was instantaneous as pressing one button, yet canceling membership was like starting your 90 day probationary period at a postal office job. It would take Certified return receipts, a note for cancelation sent to a PO Box, a stop payment from our bank, the BBB aaannd the FTC to cancel our membership with WOW.

Jamar was the consummate professional, literally allaying our concerns by explaining the process of canceling with Crunch Fitness. Then he gave us a tour of the facility which We were thoroughly impressed with the order of placement of cardio, and strength training machines and free weights with such placement universally working also in reverse, for any regimen.

Jamar explained the HIIT program, the cycling room and tanning. We were sold afterwards and signed up, he made a one time appoint with the fitness trainer Nino, who was just as understanding and comprehensive in the programs offered by Crunch Fitness, he took us through a basic physical that he would then form a training regimen around, and then he gave us a small example of a HIIT regimen. Though it was arduous, initially. It gave us an idea of Crunch's fitness training and how we would be able to reach our goal [weight]. Then Dra, The manager introduced himself to us and had very positive things to say about Nino.

With no judgement these guys were already awesome with us.

unfortunately, after a little over a week, we had to cancel because of extenuating circumstances. As my wife being offered a promotion at her job to train two new employees in her old position. Though it is only temporary, it wouldn't fit with going to the gym. Specially with each of us being our support systems it wouldn't have been beneficial. Though we did take Nino's consultation to heart and we are working out with minor exercise equipment and machines, at home. We do hope to take the approach we took the first time around. Lose a substantial amount of weight (within safe parameters) then rejoin Crunch Fitness for strength traing and weight loss, soon as my wife is over with training in two months.

I would most definitely recommend Crunch Fitness to the anyone. The staff are genuinely kind, considerate and professional they'll work within your expectations of fitness with forming exercises tooled for you. It's an awesome facility with updated equipment and positive attitudes from both members and staff alike. Jamar, Nino and Dre, see you guys in two months.

When I first joined crunch a couple of months back I had reached a state of low confidence and low motivation. For over a year I have not been able to get myself to go to the gym. The main reason was because of covid and somehow I managed to let my health come last. I was taking care of so many others but I stopped putting my own physical health first and I knew I had to eventually get myself back into the gym. I finally found the strength and stopped making excuses and found myself signing up for a personal trainer. Nino by far is the best trainee I have had. He has helped me become not only physical stronger but mentally as well. He held me accountable every session but not only during the sessions but also when I was at home. He pushed me to my best potential. I showed up as much as I could but every time I showed up Nino made sure I gave my 100% because he believed in me and knew that without any sacrifice and hard work I would not be able to reach my goals that I had set with him the first day I met him. I would recommend crunch to anyone for a gym but most importantly I would recommend Nino a million times for a personal trainer. Take my word and give it a try yourself!
