Gym has all great equipment but only good for young men. Almost fainted and the worker only worried about talking to and filling the boys cups (only two customers). Just be cautious and don’t come alone, especially if you’re a girl. Otherwise enjoy!

I have been going to the "new" ENV Fitness since the new owners took over the business. The changes that I have witnessed are remarkable. First, the gym is finally clean - gone are the old days where dirt lingered in corners and the bathrooms are dirty. There is a renewed push for quality and assurances from the owners that "this is just the beginning." Another refreshing positive move is the staff. Not only are the owners usually in their office (huge change from the last owner) but the staff at the desk always welcomes you and truly believes that they are there to support your fitness goals. The gentleman during the day -Steve, goes the extra mile to make everyone feel right at home. Truly a lost art.

As I mentioned earlier, the bathrooms are clean, smell of cleaner as if you are at home. The owners just renovated two of the showers and are waiting for next steps to repair another. This is yet another change from the past owner - nothing was fixed and the changing area was a mess. Freshly painted, the changing room is kept clean and it smells clean as well. The only item that they are missing is a SAUNA - which I am told, a sauna has been planned.

Overall, the people who go to this fitness center are very laid back, polite and are easy to get to know - another big plus. I have gone to other gyms in Glastonbury and find them too crowded and filled with pseudo meat heads who are just rude. This a huge difference - ENV is a where the "cool kids are." It is noticeable that when any machines break, not only are they on the repair, they are always replacing old, well used machines. This is quite a place - and NOT expensive!!

My recommendation - ENV gym is where health consciousness is paramount. A really nice place with many many positive changes on the horizon.

I was a member of "WOW" which was the gym prior to the remodeling/rebranding to "EVN fitness." Since the change everything improved and continued to. The initial remodeling brought in at least 5+ brand new machines, a large multipurpose workout station, a posing room, and an improved layout. After the initial changes, around every 3 months there was an addition of a new machine. The gym is never too packed and even at its busiest hours there is always an alternative machine/bench for you to use. The gym goers, staff, and owners are extremely nice and friendly. The only reason i left this gym was due to relocating, and since then have had a hard time finding something comparable to this great gym. I never leave reviews but wanted to for those of you who are looking for the right gym to choose.

I wish I could give this gym 5 stars, but frankly, it's hard to give it even 3. Some machines are habitually broken, like the leg presses and the treadmills. Other machines just don't feel right. Many dumbbells are broken and feel seriously different in your hands. The staff tried hiring an external team of cleaners, but frankly, the gym as a whole remains dirty (machines, benches, treadmills, handles, grips, etc.). The gym is sparser than local competitors, but the staff is friendly. Keep in mind, you don't go to a gym just for friendly staff; you go to work out -- and overall, the workout experience could definitely use improvement. It has been a steady decline since the acquisition of WOW.

This gym is pretty good, but I won't lie, this gym definitely has its downs. Some of the machines suck, as in they do not feel right on the muscle that they're trying to target. The benches are slippery; honestly, the gym is a little dirty. However, the staff is incredibly nice, and the gym is usually empty. I was going to give this three stars, but because it's so empty, I'll give it four. This gym has lots of potential.

Generally a decent gym, especially for the price but if it is anything over 50°, it is sweltering in there. I happened to walk by the thermostat the other day and it showed 81°. I understand wanting to be warm while working out, but this gym very quickly reaches safety concerns at these temps.

DONT BE FOOLED. Everything in this gym is broken. New owners are cheap as hell. Machines broken, dumbells broken, cardio machines broken. Some of this equipment is over 40 years old and never been maintained.

Since this gym was taken over by new owners , I saw amazing and positive changes , simply due to the professional and caring management / staff ,
No matter what your athletic ability, the minute you step in you are welcomed and supported,
Thanks to both owners Michael and Subhaan who transformed this place to the next level by renovating the gym , adding new equipments and adding a supplement store / pre workout shake bar ,

Beware . Non-responsive to several cancellation requests via the email channels advised . Hopefully this review gets a call back as a last resort . Phone calls into the service desk get you absentee ownership. I had to cancel the credit card on file due to no response, somehow these thieves got it to charge again.

Be warned to customers trying to cancel it’s a pain. They tell you the owner has to directly cancel your membership through email- but they don’t answer the email. I’m still waiting on a response to cancel my membership so hopefully this helps reach them or helps warn others.

Update: finally canceled my membership, but was told I had to wait for the owner to email me a confirmation receipt but never got a receipt? Whole situation is sketchy. Found out I’m not the only person this has happened to.

Update #2: I was told days ago I would get a receipt and a refund for the month of January. They have sent neither but asked for a phone call.

Update #3: ended up on a phone call. Owner kindly waved a $139 dollar fee that I was unexpectedly surprised with and canceled my membership over the phone. There was no confirmation receipts. But thank you to the owner.

This gym has continued to keep memberships even though contracts were made with previous owners. There was zero communication about the switch to new ownership and now they are unwilling to let people cancel memberships unless you jump through several hoops. If you want people to maybe come back to your gym don’t make canceling a hair pulling experience.

My brother sent an email to cancel his membership because we are switching over to the edge. They never answered the email so he disconnected his payment to prevent charges for the upcoming months he did not want a membership for. They then told him he had to pay the remaining balance on his membership to be able to cancel. Even though the only reason he had a balance is because they wouldn’t answer him trying to cancel. But they will answer real fast when they arnt getting paid

Apparently I now have a membership with this gym that I DID NOT AGREE TOO seeing as NO ONE reached out asking if I would like too. Great small gym to be a part of. A little tough after 5pm during the weekdays but what gym isn’t. Management has been improving the place little by little since they changed name. Cant leave out how personable some of the workers are. Zack does an awesome job of making people feel welcome!

All the “new management” have done is remove 90% of the cardio equipment. Pretty sure the bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in months either. Still a disgusting gym but cheap if you can put up with it

I got caught up in conversation outside after they closed.The employee who closed up left and I realized my keys were still inside. I went onto their website and emailed a message. Within a few minutes the owner text me. 12 minutes later their employee was back there to let me in and get my keys.
Two weeks prior they made an honest mistake with the billing. Within 30 minutes of me bringing it to their attention the money was refunded.
Looks like they’re also opening a shake bar.
Clearly new ownership is young and motivated to sew a good seed in their business. 180 degrees different than previous ownership when it was Wow. Couldn’t be happier.

ENV fitness is an amazing gym facility and its only getting better. There are new high end equipment that any gym rat will love to use and implement into their routine. This place is also a great gym for a novice gym goer. There are plenty of machines for cardio, weight lifting machines and free weights. Great spot! Solid Gym!

“New management” includes the older guy with the grey hair, balding, and glasses who used to work at WOW. In other words, management is still full of incompetent and rude individuals. Don’t get a membership here.
