Unfortunately, canceling my membership feels unjust considering the steep fees involved, especially since guests are not permitted even if it's your spouse. In contrast, gyms like Planet Fitness, Edge Fitness, and Club Fitness welcome guests as long as they present their ID and sign a waiver. I had my spouse work out with me at night but they don't allow that.

Moreover, at Club Fitness, you can pay $40 a month for an additional person, which isn't even an option at Epic. Edge Fitness Clubs does provide unlimited guest privileges if you enroll in the Edge Total or Edge Strong membership plans. Certain premium memberships, like Edge Total or Edge Strong, permit you to bring one guest per visit.

It's worth noting that Epic Fitness charges approximately $100 or more just for enrollment, and if you choose to cancel, they might impose a fee exceeding $160 based on your plan. I had an account previously, but I ended up having stage 4 cancer and was unemployed and couldn't afford to pay the cancellation fee.

Note for Epic: Consider adding extra plans or add-ons to your Epic offers especially for premium memberships, and getting rid of the account cancellation fee, particularly if you aim to stay competitive with other gyms and actually care about your customers.

Epic Health and Fitness is hands down one of the best gyms around! I joined almost a year ago and instantly fell in love with their weightlifting equipment and the welcoming atmosphere. What really stands out is how much they genuinely care about their members. I mentioned to the owner that the ellipticals could use an upgrade, especially for those of us who need something a little sturdier! Guess what, he actually listened! Not long after, new ellipticals were in place. It’s rare to find a gym that not only hears you but takes action. I couldn’t recommend Epic more!

I’ve been to plenty of gyms—this one’s the best, hands down. It’s a 20-minute drive for me, but totally worth it. The staff are always respectful, the place is spotless, and the equipment is top-notch.

If you’re serious about results, this is the gym for you. They also offer personal training with some of the friendliest, most knowledgeable trainers around.

I’d give it a solid 9/10. Plus, it’s a very law enforcement-friendly environment, which says a lot about the culture here.

In January I broke my hip. The most painful experience of my life. And unfortunately for me my bathroom is on the second floor. The kind and excellent staff (and manager) allowed me to use their shower.

The locker room facilities are big, clean and very accessible. Especially for those recovering from injury.

While at this moment I am unable to use any equipment, the gym itself is clean and modern.

I need to repeat how kind and friendly the staff is!

Thank you Epic Gym! 2 months after breaking my hip I am now starting to feel like myself again after being able to get clean. 🖤

A wonderful gym experience. A modernized gym that feels great on the eyes and a great environment to be in. It has recently opened, so the equipment is basically brand new and not abused like other gyms. The facility is well taken care of as the staff do take pride in their work space. I’ve been to multiple gyms within a 30 mile radius of Springfield and no gym compares to Epic. Epic is a very clean facility with newer gym equipment. I love their classes. Just finished one with Tim it went great he has brought over so many new faces to the gym everyone is very friendly. I take classes with Alex and Andrew and they know their stuff and push you. Front desk staff is very welcoming. Everyone does a great job keeping the place clean. Zack is the best

Am not happy about hidden fees & such, don’t understand how I am charged an “ enhancement fee “ no other gym membership I’ve had has ever charged me such a fee. The rates and costs of this gym are outlandish & ridiculous. The personal training fees are friendly extortion. I would recommend and give 5 stars to edge fitness and the YMCA before I did this gym. This is ridiculous and I’m not happy with the money I’ve spent with this gym & the business practices.
