I was a bit hesitant to switch gyms after moving from Massachusetts but I’m really glad I found this place. The community is super welcoming and you feel right at home from the start. The coaches are excellent, the gym is always clean, and it has great amenities. Nick and Heather are wonderful owners who seem to really care about their members.
Prices are definitely in line with being in Farmington Valley, CT area, but the quality of coaching, facility, and community make it absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to FVC for about 18 months and have been absolutely loving it. The coaches are fitness fanatics and their energy and enthusiasm is contagious. The community is so supportive, motivating and hard-working. Even on my down days, I show up, put in the work and leave feeling so grateful for the time spent there. I push myself harder than I would working out alone and my body has been transformed. I love that the workouts are easily scalable so that I can adjust each exercise to my current ability and on days when I’m feeling it, I can go hard and try new things. I keep asking myself, " why did I wait so long to join Resolute Fit" Brittany understood my fears of starting Cross fit at an older age and walked me through the workout program. The coaches are great, helping me modify where needed and always are encouraging. I have participated in many gyms throughout the years and nothing compares to the positive energy I experience whether at a 6 am class or a 6 pm class.

This is the best gym in the Farmington valley, and maybe the best gym in the world!! The coaches are phenomenal, meeting you where you are and then both pushing you to work harder and congratulating you for what you can do. I’ve been going to Farmington Valley Crossfit for years. It’s honestly the best gym I’ve ever been to. They are super-welcoming to newcomers (not just the staff but the people there with you), and it doesn’t matter what your fitness level is - they work with you to get you to your goals. What I love most about Farmington Valley Crossfit is the people. The coaches are phenomenal. Before the workout begins, coaches ensure that each member can approach the programming in a way that encourages progress while preventing injury. They coach your technique, improve your form, and educate you on best practice throughout the workout. And when you think you have nothing left to give, you hear them shout your name and it gives you that push you need to get to the end. The mental and physical gains that each member accrues as a result of this approach is priceless.

I've been at Farmington Valley Crossfit for almost five years now. The Coaches and Community are incredibly open and supportive of everyone who walks through the door, no matter what your level of fitness or where you are in your life journey. Farmington Valley CrossFit has truly has been lifechanging. I feel so grateful and lucky that I ended up connecting with this amazing community nearly 4 years ago. I have learned so much and gained so much strength and confidence. I've never been consistent with exercising in my life. The FVC coaches are so supportive and knowledgeable. The coaches are amazing, community is loving! You don’t have to be a cross-fitter to be in the gym. Depending on where you are in your fitness journey, what your goals are the coaches work with you and modify the movements to make sure you get the most out of your classes. While in class along with the coaches everyone is cheering you on which makes working out fun. Same goes for the personal training programs.
Everyday it’s a different set of exercises and muscles you work on. There have been times, even when coaches are not coaching the class, they will still give you suggestions to make sure your form, movement is done correctly to avoid injuries. You always come of out the gym happy and satisfied !!
The gym has become one stop shop for members like me whose entire family becomes part of this amazing community. My kid goes to the teens class, which is amazing as along with fitness, kids learn how to work on proper form and techniques for the movement and do partner workouts which teaches them teamwork! There are in house nutritionist who all are amazing and work with what you want rather than trying to force you into one diet plan or another. I like my ethnic foods and while doing nutrition with the coaches, they helped me incorporate those flavors to get better nutrition gains.
FVC has sauna and cold plunge which many of us have used multiple time as a recovery tool or for relaxation. There are also physical therapists if you need to work on any nagging pain or muscle group to make them stronger.
If you are looking to become healthier, stronger and happier version of yourself this is the place to be

ResoluteFIT is incredible. I have been a member for over seven years and it easily the best workout. A good mix of multifunctional fitness (cardio, weight lifting, mobility, etc.) using CrossFit training and the facility has all the amenities (new equipment, dry sauna, cold plunge). Love this gym and community! My family and I moved to the area back in July 2023 and these guys have made the transition a delight. During these past holidays, I knew my family and I were not going to be able to travel back home. So I told the GM, Nick Shea, "Since we can't go home and see family at this time, I'll be around if you need any help." He put his hand on my shoulder and without hesitation said, "It is not the same, but you have family here." I just recently joined ResoluteFit and its been nothing but amazing. If you are like me, I am a newbie to Crossfit. They took me through four 1-1 one hour sessions where you work with a coach on the fundamentals of what to expect in Crossfit. The coaches are excellent with showing you the basics. What I enjoyed the most is the interaction with them. They were very encouraging. They answered every question throughly. ResoluteFit is a great place for anyone that wants to get into Crossfit.

I want to take a moment to let you know how much I appreciate and enjoy CrossFit Frogman (ResoluteFIT)!
Prior to moving to Simsbury and joining about 15 months ago I had worked out at two other CrossFit locations in northeastern Massachusetts. Each "box" has its own culture and vibe, its own location and schedule, its own coaching style and focus. These factors either worked for me or they did not.
CrossFit Frogman really keeps me interested and challenged! The members in each class possess a wide range of abilities and skills from beginner to advanced. Everyone is working to be better and healthier. There is a camaraderie that is evident as we cheer and encourage each other.
Moving into the new space in Granby has been great for all of us. Plenty of space, showers, sauna, and now the cold plunge tub! The other CF locations I attended before didn't offer these options/amenities.
The coaches are great! I see Nick, Brittany, and Nicki most often in my classes. Each brings his/her own experience and knowledge to coaching a class. They are great at providing accommodations and scaling options (believe me, I need those!), but they are also going to push you so you continue to make progress towards your goals.
I thoroughly endorse CrossFit Frogman! Come join us!

Empowerment from the inside, out - Resolute Fit is a gym unlike any others. Their facility is spacious, the classes are challenging and full of variety, and then there is the staff that make this gym exceptional. The coaches at ResoluteFit are unbelievably kind and attentive to their members, strengthened further by their immense knowledge of physical fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness.
I completed their On-Ramp Program with Tim where I was taught how to safely perform all the potential exercises and use of the lifting equipment. Tim showed me every type of modification possible to allow me to participate at a beginners level while still being able to challenge myself.
This is a gym where they have coaches like Cody who will offer their own personal equipment to help you complete a set. Brittany is the first one to give a huge smile and ask how you’ve been, offering constant, genuine encouragement and effective tips throughout the class. Nicki is the newest Coach and already goes out of her way to help provide clear directive allowing you to push yourself while keeping the proper form required for success.
They’ve really done an amazing job creating a powerful environment of positivity and empowerment for everyone to be the best version of themselves - no matter where you are in your fitness journey. 12/10.

Hi Rob, Brittany and Nick,
I've been meaning for some time to write a testimonial regarding how your gym has been life changing for me and now my family.
First, the physical changes have been amazing. I have never left the gym thinking " I should not have come today". In fact, it's quite the opposite. A better mood and outlook are created psychologically and there is a greater clarity of thought. This usually lasts for a few days and is most pronounced just after a workout. My energy levels are greater which allows me to handle four Orthodontic practices and gives me the confidence to expand the business.
The physical changes have been stark and sometimes immediate. How could I possibly have back pain, that lingered for days, and after a Crossfit session it's gone. That day I came to class thinking I would just scale and maybe do some cardio. By the end of the warmup the pain was gone. Lunge with a twist solved the problem. The movement was part of the warmup and unexpectedly dramatically improved what was a lower lumbar muscle spasm. Class was finished without pain and with performing the prescribed movements.
Upon starting with Resolute Fit, I was unable to perform many of the movements properly and without discomfort. It is still difficult to perform some lifts with proper form, but improvements are made every week. Overall deconditioning, lack of mobility and injuries producing pain where the main limiting factors. As an example, 18 months ago, I could not perform squat cleans without first cleaning then completing the front squat in two separate movements. I could not hang from the bar, raise my arms overhead, back squat, overhead squat, clean and jerk, thrust, and perform most lifts and exercises without some pain. Scaling around this shoulder pain and working on mobility over time has changed 3 decades of limited and improper lifting and exercise.
There have been several "firsts" at the gym. A strict pull up, toes to bar, personal records, benching squatting, deadlifting, cleaning, squat cleans, over an hour of box step ups, a 7:54 2000M row, running for first time in years, (bad foot that's healed), and stringing together double unders are just some of the accomplishments the coaches have helped me with. What's cool is I'm actually keeping track now whereas before classes where a binary event. Either I finished or I didn't.
The translation of these in gym accomplishments into everyday life is where quality of life is improved. Simple movements like reaching for a coffee mug in the overhead cupboard that once produced pain no longer do. Lifting and placing Evelyn's dirt bike ramp on the truck and her bike up the ramp is easy now. This year's guys trip to Alaska was the most revealing. I was able for the first time ever (18 years) to lift the 93Lb. outboard motor and place it on the stern of the boat. I could also carry it around with a farmers carry up and down steep inclines. On two different occasions on this trip there would have been injuries without the improved conditioning Resolute Fit has afforded me. Thank you so much for the work you all are doing, it's changing and perhaps saving lives.

Coach Nick and Coach Brittany set up a custom strength & agility program for my 7th grade travel soccer team. The focus has been on teaching proper weightlifting form, safety and introducing various agility exercises. It has been a terrific experience for the boys. I would recommend any local coach to set up a similar program for their team. It's a great way to build team camaraderie outside of practice and enhance their bodies for better performance on the field.

Resolute fit is simply the best gym I've ever been a member of. The owners and coaches are outstanding. They have scaled workouts tailored to my abilities and around my previous injuries. The gym is also great for kids. I am able to work out with my 18 y/o daughter and my youngest does individual session and teen classes. We all love it!

Culture and programming are top-notch! Awesome gym that fosters a great community of people. The workouts are balanced in strength training and cardiovascular conditioning and will give anyone a good base for general fitness or supplement your current training. The coaches are amazing and encourage everyone to push themselves, but they also know where the individual members are at and care about form and safety. I've been a member for over two years and this gym has felt like a second home.

About 1 year ago today, I signed up for my first WOD at ResoluteFIT Simsbury (technically I joined the gym in February 2020 but COVID put my final prep class on hold until June). Before I joined this amazing gym, I was very self-conscious about working out in public and did at home workouts instead. As time went on, I realized my fitness and running were hitting a lull and I needed to challenge myself more in my fitness and overcome feeling intimidated by working out with people around. Therefore, I joined ResoluteFIT Simsbury and let me just say I have ZERO regrets!!! Before joining, I had never picked up a barbell, used a rig, touched a kettlebell, or even done a handstand! However, with the help of amazing coaches and the community, I proved to myself that I can pick up a barbell and be upside down! ResoluteFIT has positively changed my life significantly and not only have I improved my fitness, but I have become more social and have led a healthier lifestyle. I also saw significant improvement in my running and even found a wonderful running group to bond with outside of the gym! ResoluteFIT also teaches me to chase after my goals and also to believe in myself more. Today, I am a much healthier athlete and a more social person, since I am surrounded by such an amazing community of athletes!
Overall, I highly recommend ResoluteFIT Simsbury to anyone in the area looking to get more fit and live a healthier lifestyle. I look forward to achieving more goals and also continuing to spend time with the community and also meeting more new members! I love this gym so much and I am blessed to be a member of the RF family!!!

ResoluteFit is my home away from home, my community, my happy hour, and my ticket to living a strong healthier life. As part of this community since 2015, I have completely transformed myself into an athlete, and now in my forties, I can attribute this to the coaches, rigor of workouts that I can scale to whatever level I need, and the consistency that attending every week has formed in terms of lifelong habits. Covid-19 sent us all home for 3 months which was hard but our coaches NEVER relented on creating meaningful at-home workouts with real accountability, and when we were finally able to return, I knew every precaution was taken to ensure a safe and healthy place to workout. This is a community made up of genuine people from absolutely every background you could imagine, with one common goal of finding our best selves and helping each other in that journey.

I have been a member at Simsbury Crossfit for about 100 days. I’ve lost ~10 pounds of body fat and gained 2 pounds of muscle. There are several factors that make Simsbury Crossfit stand out and very deserving a 5 star review:
1. Coaches – The coaches are knowledgeable, talented and awesome! The coaches spend time at the beginning of each class going through the workout and clearly demonstrating all the movements. I have learned so much just from the demos that has taken my workouts to the next level. The coaches are 100% ‘ON’ for the entire workout of the day (WOD) – they walk the entire box during the WOD cheering you on and watching your form and movements. Their energy and positivity make every WOD fun.
2. Programming – The programming at Simsbury Crossfit really well laid out including a warm up, WOD, and cool down. The warmups ensure we have the movements down and are plenty warm to keep working out without injuries. Each WOD has multiple levels so everything is achievable depending on your fitness level and how you are feeling each day. And if something doesn’t work for you the Coaches are super helpful with modifying! When I had been suffering from terrible back and hip pain for 6 years (I could not even lay on my left side or sit for more than 30 minutes) – a pain level 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. That pain has decreased to a level 1 and getting better every day! The strengthening and integrity in the movements has been key for me.
3. Equipment – Simsbury Crossfit has plenty of all the right equipment. There is great technology that let’s you track your WOD performance. The box is very CLEAN and all members contribute to keeping equipment and the box tidy.
4. Culture & People – This is hands down the best part of Simsbury Crossfit! The people and culture are AMAZINGLY welcoming, friendly and encouraging. Everyone here is everyone else’s biggest fan and everyone is achieving better fitness because of it. The owners are awesome, the coaches are awesome and the athletes are awesome.

I started at CFS shortly after having my daughter and took the dumbbells and diapers classes. It was a great way to meet new moms, workout in an environment that was not intimidating, and an excuse to get out of the house! Denise is extremely knowledgeable on a safe approach to exercise post partum and nutrition. I then joined CFS as a regular member and started a nutrition challenge. The staff and athletes at the gym are extremely welcoming, helpful, and skilled in their coaching. During my nutrition challenge I learned how to eat correctly and that carbs were actually what my body needed to lose fat and gain energy. I learned how to eat pre and post workout to maximize my time in the gym and the importance of balanced meals and snacks! Best decision ever!

I was nervous to join CrossFit until this community welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like family! The coaches are a lot of fun to work with and are very helpful when you need modifications to make the workout a little lighter or tougher.

If you’re even thinking about whether or not you should try it, the answer is yes! Crossfit Simsbury is for people of all ages and fitness levels, even with previous injuries or mobility restrictions. All workouts can be modified to each individual. In fact, daily workouts are offered with suggestions of 3 different levels of difficulty/weight, but further modifications can always be made. The community is incredibly welcoming, the coaches are brilliant, the facility is huge, and the fitness is fantastic.

Great place to learn about wellness (in general). I started in 2017 and really didn’t have any experience with Crossfit. I appreciated the customized approach to learning and how much pre-planning/ thought the coaches put into scaling options (ensuring everybody can get a safe and excellent workout). Also, the owners make continuous investments in the equipment and make frequent changes to the schedule to ensure maximum flexibility (ex. Check out the open gym times).

I've been a member of Crossfit Simsbury for about two years now. The coaching is always consistent; professional, motivating, fun, informative, welcoming and accommodating. I am amazed at the amount of effort the staff puts into each and every member, from nutritional advice to varrying movement techniques that optimize the workout experience. The community is so welcoming and makes getting out of bed so much easier when I know I get to laugh and workout with friends. The people I have met here are some of the most inspiring athletes that always motivate me and are right there to cheer me on when I am able to get a personal best. Over 27 years, I gained about 5 to 6 lbs per year. I always told myself I’d lose weight tomorrow, or start next month or 'next year I’ll lose some weight'…well, I never found something that stuck with me. The weight kept ratcheting up. I know I cared because I didn’t like being in pictures since I looked so large next to everyone else, so there’s not many pictures of me to be honest. Exercise was non-existent in my life and I ate whatever I wanted.
In 2017 I reached over 340 lbs and was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. The medication to combat metabolic disease really made me feel awful, so the doctor said my choice was to lose weight or take the medicine. I figured the only way I was going to find motivation to exercise was to go back to Navy boot camp where some intimidating Frogmen would run us through intensive training at 2 AM. This thought process led me to Rob Olson and CrossFit Simsbury. I didn’t know what CrossFit was, but I knew it was intense and wasn’t sure I would last a week after my first workout. What I found was nothing like boot camp. I found a community of compassionate coaches and members who encourage everyone to push just a little harder everyday. I discovered nutrition planning and how to fuel myself and not just eat whatever is in front of me. After 33 weeks at CFS and 22 weeks of nutrition coaching, I am down to 288 lbs, most of it lost in fat. I have reversed a steady slide into metabolic disease and am no longer classified as diabetic. I have developed a regimen of regular exercise, meal planning and increased my activity outside the box. It took me a long time to find my way, but I am here to stay. The weight didn’t come on overnight and it will be a while before I fit into my old uniform, but I know it is possible. Keep pushing everyday, crush everything and keep smiling!

I’ve started dropping into this box when I’m in Hartford on work trips. Facilities are clean and equipment is pretty good. I’ve been in a few classes that Rob and Jay were coaching. Both provided great coaching on form and technique. They have 3 levels of scaling when you can do the pull ups but have yet to master the muscle up. :-)
