I decided to sign my toddler daughter up for a “drop in” session we were very much looking forward to going as she loves to roll and flip, I had to bring her older brother as I didn’t have childcare for him that evening. I had sent an email the day prior asking if it was ok to bring him and didn’t get the email until the day of the class about 45 minutes prior and at that point we had already left the house as it was a little drive for us - when we got there my son was excited to see that he would be able to watch his sister as they had a nice waiting area upstairs looking over the gym. However when I asked if he could wait there while the class was held I was told no and that he could sit in a chair downstairs. I could already tell the person was annoyed that I had brought him with me at this point anyways he sat in the chair and about 10 minutes into the class I saw him standing up so I went to help him to the bathroom at this time he told me he wanted to watch his sister and he couldn’t see her from the chair so I had him come and sit on the floor next to the mat that we were on. I was busy with my active toddler and kept an eye on him and saw he started to roll and flip around on the mat he was next to that no one was using. considering there was about 10 minutes left in the class and he was not bothering anyone I didn’t say anything however unbeknownst to be the person conducting the class while getting supplies told him he couldn’t be on the equipment the class comes to an end and my son continued to roll and flip around and as I was telling him to come on with me the instructor of the class decided to come over and tell me how bad my child is and that if he wants to use the equipment I could pay for him to join a class, I apologized and she continued on to say what a bad listener he was. Once again apologized and she continued to be very rude and condescending and made multiple comments about money. I would never give this woman another cent and had she handled the entire situation differently I probably would’ve left signing both of my kids up for classes instead I left wishing I never went. So if you’re considering bringing a child here know that you cannot bring a sibling and if you do they better not step foot near the mats.

Flips has been an amazing space for my daughter to learn so much and explore what her body can do. She also is getting wonderful interactions with other kids and adults.

Flips is an amazing place for kids and families. Family owned and operated for 6 years! Instructors are dedicated, thoroughly trained, and professional. Young gymnasts and dancers who compete in Acrobatics (and their parents) need to understand that they need core strength before fancy tricks. Flips’ students get taught “strength before skills” and the proof is in the pudding with their scores at competitions.
