About the Club

Flow to Fit Yoga is Southbury Connecticut's leading yoga studio and yoga school! We offer group and private yoga, Pilates, aerial yoga and strength training. With emphasis on proper breathing, mindful movement and alignment we can help you build strength, increase flexibility, improve cardiovascular health, lose weight and manage stress.

We specialize in working with those suffering from chronic pain, recovering from surgery or injuries. Our approach is to work slowly and cautiously in the "pain free" zone until you reach your fitness goals. We also focus on techniques that alleviate chronic disorders, such as depression, pain, anxiety and insomnia.

I really LOVE my private sessions with Amie. Right now, we're working on strength building and yoga. It has made a huge difference in my life. I have more energy, strength and feel great.

A few years ago, she helped me as I recovered from a leg injury. I couldn't drive to her studio, so we did it over zoom. Amie is flexible, doing whatever you need and tailoring the private sessions to your specific interests in improving yourself.

I really don't know what I would do without Amie. She is kind and talented and a joy to talk to while exercising.

I’ve been practicing yoga and Pilates with Amie for over ten years. She always knows how to challenge me and changes up her workouts to make them fun and interesting. Class with Amie is never ordinary. When you enter class it’s guaranteed to be a total body workout! She never makes it monotonous and provides an array of methods to make it interesting. She is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in the art of Pilates and yoga. The combined form of Pilates yoga offers the best of both worlds. I have taken her classes for almost two years and am extremely satisfied with the results. I feel better mind, body, and spirit. If you are looking for a thorough work out in a nurturing environment this is for you!

Fit to Flow is a hidden gem in Southbury. Its owner, Amie Petro, is a one of a kind teacher. She is an exceptional instructor and really cares about her students. I have been taking the Pilates Fusion class for a few years now and I have really noticed changes in my body. I am stronger and more grounded since taking this class. I have learned so much from Amie and I can't say enough good things about Fit to Flow.

This studio is the best. I discovered Flow to Fit in 2017. After taking classes for a few months I made it my home studio. Amie offers a variety of classes including vinyasa, pilates fusion, aerial yoga, restorative, and sounds healing. There are classes for all levels. The students are friendly and inviting. Flow to Fit yoga has spared my spine and my hips from age-related degeneration. I handle stairs and long walks easily and my balance is fine. Even though at age 82 I have osteopenia, I have not progressed into osteoporosis. I am sure it is due to the Pilates and core Yoga I have practiced with Amie. I highly recommend Amie’s classes for anyone who wants to maintain and even improve their overall core health.

I have done yoga in the past and got away from it. I forgot how calming and relaxing it can be. I am just getting over shoulder injuries and I was just not a happy camper with the pandemic and everything else going on. My attitude was not great. I was not felling well. Amie's yoga class not only made me feel better mentally, it made me feel better physically. The stretches to relieve pressure in your neck, shoulders, and back are great. She gets the whole body in 1 class. My hamstrings were a mess and they are better now. I took a yoga class and played golf afterward in pouring rain for 3 of the 4 hours and I did really well. I was already stretched and warmed up, relaxed, calm, and I felt great. You cannot golf well when you are tense. Amie's yoga classes are a natural chill pill. I highly recommend Flow to Fit Yoga if you want to get rid of your stress. Right now I think we can all use some stress relief.
