I am so happy that I joined Fred Astaire Canton! In just a year I have seen so many positive changes, both physically and mentally. I have danced with Becky and Rebecca and they do such a wonderful job at making lessons informative and fun, and are always cheering their students on. You can feel how excited they are to teach dance and see their students learn and improve. Their encouragement has helped me do things I never thought I could, like performing a showcase in front of a crowd at a competition. Not only are the instructors supportive, but all of the other students are as well, and you truly feel like part of a family at the studio. I am so excited to continue my dance journey here and am so glad to be a part of the Fred Astaire Canton family!

Love it here! I get to stay active, learn a hobby with my husband, and have so much fun doing it. Rebecca is the BEST. She choreographed our wedding dance, and now 2 years later we're still dancing with her. The whole studio has a great vibe. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The practice parties are great, especially when there's a theme with costumes and a pot luck! I came from a very different dance background growing up, so ballroom can be challenging with the different technique, but everyone is non judgemental and the teaching is always at your pace. Highly recommend

My fiance (now wife) and I first started coming to Fred Astaire in Canton to learn a routine for our first wedding dance. When we started learning to dance, we were brand-new beginners. Over six months, we learned more of the basic steps and put together an amazing routine for our wedding. All of our guests were blown away at our routine and it was one of the highlights of our wedding. We enjoy learning to dance together and decided to continue it together. The studio is now owned by one of the instructors, Becky, and we still love coming here and learning new steps from her. We do competitions and showcases now, and it's all from the excellent instructors here. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly, and we've met a nice community of other students here.

My husband and I had never danced until we started taking lessons six years ago - and now we love it! The private lessons and group classes are always fun - we look forward to every one. We are (ahem) older, and besides being enjoyable, dancing helps with mental acuity, strength, and balance.

My husband and I began taking lessons here so that we would be comfortable dancing at our wedding. Our first dance was fully choreographed by Becky and we learned basic dances through group classes and private lessons so we wouldn’t be stuck doing the “middle school sway” all night. We have since continued lessons and look forward to our weekly date nights.

The staff at the studio— are wonderfully supportive, no matter what level you are at. They are highly professional and it is very clear that they love what they do. Highly recommend!

We were looking for a place to get some dance lessons for our wedding. We found Fred Astaire. We hooked with Becky. The experience has been awesome. She's patient and really knows her stuff and is able to come up with random stuff on the fly. We observe the other instructors from time to time, and they're just as awesome. We definitely recommend Fred Astaire, specially if you have 2 left feet 😂

I absolutely recommend this studio! The teachers are super friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Becky is my teacher, and my lessons with her are the best part of my day. Whether your teacher is Becky, Amanda, Tsvet, or Tony, their energy and cheerfulness are contagious and you will have a great time. You do not need a partner to take lessons, and the teachers will go at your pace and customize your lessons based on what you want to learn. The group classes are also lots of fun, and all the students are very kind and supportive of each other. The whole studio is a fantastic atmosphere to be in!

If you ever had any ideas of taking dance lessons (even if you don’t have someone to do it with—you don’t need to come with a partner), I highly, highly recommend checking out Fred Astaire Dance studio in Canton. I’ve been going for many years and I really love it! The instructors (Becky, Amanda, Svet, Tony, Stefan) are the best—terrific at teaching and they are amazing dancers. The studio vibe is happy, positive, welcoming and fun! I’ve met other students along the way that are now life-long friends.

We love this studio! The instructors are all very knowledgeable and supportive. It's clear they enjoy dancing (all styles) and want their students to enjoy it too.
They provide opportunities to compete and increase your skills. However, they are NOT "pushy" and accept the level you feel comfortable with.
We enjoy our private lessons and appreciate being able to participate in the weekly dance parties to get used to dancing around others.

My ten-year-old daughter and I have recently began taking ballroom dance lessons together at Fred Astaire in Canton, and we absolutely love it! We have been with this studio since 2002. We love how they stayed in touch and provided online coaching during COVID and when they reopened (as soon as alloed) it was with a new enthusiasm and vigor.

All the teachers are very kind and knowledgeable in how to teach all levels of dancing. They make it fun by providing many opportunities for the dancers to get to know and support each other.

As part of the package for private lessons, they provide a once a week dance party, group lessons that focus on either a dance level, or technique or a theme, such as Western Dancing, Club dancing, etc. We have grown so much with their encouragement!
