My daughter and I absolutely love Glastonbury Dance Center! From super fun dance camps, awesome birthday parties to the incredibly convenient and experience broadening combination classes, every part of and every person at GDC has been positive, encouraging and heartwarming. There are four studios within a few minutes of our home, but because of how welcoming Miss Shari, Miss Kristy, all their teachers, helpers, dancers and parents have been, I am thrilled to make the trip out of town to GDC as long as they’ll have us! Every teacher knows all the dancers and the grown ups that belong to the dancers which is an amazing feeling. Miss Shari is very communicative, thorough, and makes it easy to help our dancers get the most out of their time. My nearly two year old will begin the parent and me class this season, and we are so excited to get him started at this age. My 9 y.o. loves this place - every time I pick her up from classes, she’s brimming with enthusiasm and positivity. My daughter has been attending for 5 years, each year it only gets better!!!! We have taken lessons, attend summer camp and had my daughter’s birthday party here ( they do it all!). Can’t say enough good things about GDC! My daughter has been dancing there for many years and she absolutely loves it! I’ll be honest- she had taken classes at another studio in town while also at GDC, and I'll just say that only solidified her love and loyalty for GDC - she won't dance anywhere else now! If I could give GDC 100 stars I would! This studio is amazing. Not only do they obviously teach different types of dance, but they teach kindness, compassion, camaraderie and team work. For the first few years our daughter was only in recreational classes, as she got older and more confident, she then tried out for team, and made it! Since then, I can’t even begin to explain the difference in our daughter’s confidence! And now she’s on 4 different teams! It’s tough for our daughter since we moved out of Glastonbury over 5 years ago so she doesn’t go to school with any other girls there, but it doesn’t matter! Directors, staff and fellow students will welcome anyone with open arms. We drive a half an hour each way 3 days a week and it’s worth every drop of gas! Not to mention other events that team members get to perform at: Wolfpack games, Mets games, Glastonbury Apple Fest, and a UCONN game (new this year), just to name a few. The directors, Shari and Kristy, are the best! Always with a smile for the girls, and so supportive, always! Run, don’t walk to GDC, you WILL NOT regret it!

My daughter suffered a serious ankle injury prior to this year's dance season. Ms. Shari and all the instructors have been phenomenal working with my daughter and making her feel comfortable as she recovers and gains more strength. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my daughter feels as though she is supposed to be there even though she can't 100% participate. Not only is GDC a great dance school, it is a like a second home for it’s members. GDC welcomed our daughter to their studio with positivity and warmth. My daughter is new to dance so it was a bit overwhelming, but the staff made her feel supported and would even encourage her with a card after class stating that she is doing a great job.
Shari is always there to answer all questions new parents might have and she does it with patience and kindness.
The center offered an icebreaker party before classes started to make the girls comfortable and they young girls got a “big sister “ for extra support.

GDC is amazing! Though very new to the studio, our experience from day one, has been nothing short of incredible! Their meticulous consideration relative to safety precautions is exceptional, ensuring that every possible measure has been taken to lessen exposure risk, inclusive of limiting class size, persons entering the physical space along with requiring hand sanitization and temperature checks upon entry. The energy exhausted to develop a comprehensive dance curriculum for toddlers that is both instructional and entertaining is beyond evident.
