Jon Grace is my Coach. He is a great guy and instructor. He has tremendous insights on how to swing a golf club and all facets of the sport. My training sessions are invaluable. He has teaching examples about “staying in the barrel,” “keeping your head down on the ball,” seeing the knuckles on your left hand,” and other instructional moments that are worth your time and investment. Jon is a regular guy but one helluva of a teacher. The bottom line is that each time you are in his company you walk out a better player with more knowledge. Five stars without question.

I’m about a month in on my package of lessons I acquired from Golf Tec. I always judge things on a simple question which is “is what I paid money for worth it?” My answer is unequivocally YES.

My coach is Charles Hickey and he’s been a great teacher. He’s been teaching golf for years and has an uncanny ability to understand what my body is capable of doing and what it can’t do that pros and real good golfers can do. His instruction and guidance is clear and although I still have much to learn I’m already in a place now where I can tell what I did wrong in my swings so I can adjust in the future.

I’m looking forward to more lessons and I am definitely enjoying each session both Charles instruction but also my practice sessions. Oh yeah I’m hitting my five iron almost 25 percent further and my pitching is going to make me a sniper.

Love love love this place. Lessons in the comfortable indoors, in the privacy of your own room, with instructors who are able to record every swing, play the video in slow-motion and mark-up the screen to show you your opportunities for improvement and what better technique would look like. No one is touching you or even staring at you the entire time, which is great for self conscious females like myself. Troy is the BEST!!!! He makes me feel like I'm part of a club and is simply a wonderful instructor. All of the staff are super kind, very clean facilities (cleanest ladies restroom ever!) and I recommend highly!

My son and I have been going to Golftec for lessons and it has been great! Jon is an excellent coach that adjusts to each of our skill levels and needs. We have done 30 min lessons, 60 min lessons, and on course lessons. My son also got fitted for clubs and got a complete customized set.

Even though I am not a very good golfer I enjoy the game, my brother's got sick of me being a terrible golfer so for a birthday present they bought a swing evaluation and lessons. This is my second season working with Jon Grace at GolfTec. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve any aspect of their game!

Jon helped me not only straighten out my shots, but add distance and consistency! From tee box to putting green, Golftec has helped me improve many aspects of my game.

I've gone from driver to putter with Jon. He simplified chip shots around the green, saving shots off my round. Gained yards off my opening drives and been consistency with my approach shots.

Started about a year ago with John looking to improve my game and overall just shave strokes. It's been over a year and John had left about 3 months in so I got put with Matt. Personally Matt has changed my game. I see things in my swing I've never seen before and I dropped about 7-10 strokes in a year with hard work and dedication. Matt and I continue to put in the work together and its obvious he wants me to get better. While it may be expensive but if you are truly serious about getting better at golf I would recommend you to Matt and Golftec. Find a coach you connect with and enjoy working with and trust them, I've left lessons defeated as he keeps critiquing my swing but overall Im playing much better golf. Rome wasn't built overnight and neither will your swing but Golftec definitely helped.

Due to my work I have taken series of lessons from several instructors at various locations in the US. For the past six months I have been taking lessons at Golftec in West Hartford, CT. During my initial swing analysis Jon Grace identified a flaw in my swing that other instructors missed. After a minor correction I started hitting the ball 10 – 15 yards farther. Over the course of the past six months Jon has improved my swing’s consistency and accuracy. The entire staff at West Hartford Golftec is welcoming and make the facility feel like a club. Golftec West Hartford offers many different options for new and seasoned players. I am a 47 year old golfer that has been playing for 30+ years and I feel the instruction has been extremely helpful to my game. I was also looking for a location that I could hit and practice through the winter season and not sacrifice losing my swing thoughts from this past season. The simulators capture your swing from multiple angles and give you and your instructor instant video feedback. They have many highly skilled golf pros available to choose from and also fit and sell individual clubs and sets. I'm having a great experience at GOLFTEC in West Hartford. My coach Murph has been wonderful. My goal was to hit the ball solid and be able to understand what is causing poor shots. Murph certainly helped me with this. The ability to see my swing broken down by my coach rather than listening to whom ever I"m playing with on any given day has been key to my improvement. I'm loving the sound of my new swing and I'm certainly scoring better than I've ever had been. I highly recommend GOLFTEC and ask for Murph!

I highly recommend GOLFTEC West Hartford and my coach John Vitale. I have been playing golf since childhood but after a few years without playing frequently it was time to tune up my skills. Practicing with John was just what I needed to rebuild my confidence on the course. John's coaching approach is great for golfers of all skill levels. I am a frustrated amateur that has had previous golf lessons. I went for a golf swing evaluation at Golftec with reservations wondering if it would be worth the cost and effort. I thought it might be a technology gimmick. It did not disappoint. Anyone looking to find out where their personal shortcomings in golf are and where they need to concentrate their efforts should at very least go for the swing analysis. I worked with John Vitale. Unlike some instructors who attempt to change everything about your game, John works with your game and helps each golfer in a systematic understandable way. I was ready to give up the game, but now excited to have measurable improvement.
Negative: located oh Hartford which is not convenient for everyone.
For me, no doubt it was well worth it.

Just completed the 15 lesson program in December 2018. Lessons were very helpful. Usually took the 30-minute practice session immediately after the lesson. John Murphy was the instructor who did an excellent job. Club fitting was a big help as my iron shafts were too short. The on the course lesson at Gillette Ridge was a lot of fun. Played nine holes on a hot humid day. Overall dropped 5 strokes putting me in the low 90's. For a 60 year old weekend warrior I was pleased with the results. Just signed up for another 15 lessons starting in February 2019.

A friend referred me to Golftec over the summer and told me to see John Murphy. I've never played golf before and I was advised to get professional lessons to learn the proper way to swing the club. John, a.k.a. "Murph", is the nicest guy you'll ever meet and is highly knowledgeable in the game. If you have no golf experience and want to learn, this is the place to go. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I'm 66 yrs old and never had a golf lesson until I signed up at GolfTech about 8 months ago.
I was an 11 handicapper and with the help of GolfTech instructor John Murphy I'm down to an 8 and aiming lower.
I used to hit my 7 iron a consistent 150 yds... now thanks to my swing analysis and some lessons from John Murphy I hit the 7 a consistent 170 yds.
I would recommend GolfTech West Hartford and John Murphy to anyone who is serious about improving their skills. One of the things I like about golf is that you can never perfect the game. GolfTech WH wont make you a perfect golfer but you are guaranteed to shoot lower scores after they spend some time with you. Lower scores = more fun playing golf.
