I have been a member of GRSC for over 5 years. From the moment I took my first PB lesson from Lesly, I realized I found a very special place. Over the past five years, I not only improved my PB skills but I met a group of women who have become not only PB partners but dear friends. Guilford Racquet is the best run club that I have ever belonged to. Sarah and her staff do everything they can to provide an excellent and memorable experience to members. My experience at GRSC has been consistent with my whole family and all of my friends that also belong.

Our family moved to Madison, partly because of the beaches, but we find ourselves more and more at the GRSC pool on the weekends. Jen and team make sure the pool is fun, safe, and inclusive for families and individuals of all ages. The Thursday night DJ parties in the summer are epic and my kids make sure we attend each Thursday night. Both kids have had great experiences with swimming lessons and have learned to swim quickly and safely thanks to Michael and Connor, their instructors.

I recently took up Pickleball and Tennis and have had top notch lessons from Chris the head Tennis pro and Pam who helps lead the Pickle program. Each week I look forward to playing pickle and taking tennis lessons. Chris has made learning a new sport addictive. Getting on the court is easy and the games are fun and competitive. My wife also really enjoys playing tennis as well as the cardio tennis program.

When having a chance to play tennis and pickle, my kids love to go to the playroom and play with their friends, they beg us to let them stay.

Because we have a young family, it is important to find the right camp. We have tried many other camps on the shoreline, but after experiencing Guilford's program, we are done looking. Allison, who runs the camp, cares very much for these kids. Allison knows who is missing what and where they left it because she cares and puts in the time. It isn't just Allison, but the entire camp staff is patient, caring, and provides a fun and safe place for the kids to play.

Sarah is the best and we are lucky that she has such a great staff and culture at GRSC. I would be happy to talk to anyone about joining.

We joined Guilford Racquet & Swim Club last fall when we moved to Guilford. Prior to joining, I did a tour of the club with the owner, Sarah. I could tell she was very hands-on about having well-maintained facilities. But she was also very focused on the members having fun, making new friends, and having a good experience. On the first day of my beginner tennis lessons, I felt like a kid on the first day of school. Sarah was there, fitting me in my tennis shoes and reminding me to just go out and have fun!

I have had very positive experiences with all of the GRSC staff and made some new friends! We recently had a Women's Singles tennis event, run impeccably by Coach Jen, where we got to meet other ladies who played at different levels. The event was a huge success!

I have now joined a 2.5 USTA Women's Team, met tennis friends to have regular private lessons groups with, and participated in many other activities at the club. It has been nothing but a positive experience. I highly encourage you to sign up -- even if you are a total beginner!

Our son started swim lessons this summer and loved it! He just turned 3 and used to be hesitant in the water- he’s come a long way! He absolutely adores Ms. Nora - his swim instructor and goes to her so easily and looks forward to seeing her! Guilford Racquet & Swim Club is my “happy place”. I’ve played in a lot of clubs but none compare to this club. Everything is always in tip-top condition, the surfaces are better than any other and I can’t say enough about the lighting. As we age the lighting is very important.
And the people...they are the best. Helpful, knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind.

Joining GRSC has been a lifesaver. I started working from home over 7 years ago (pre-pandemic). Since I live alone, I needed some type of social outlet. I had tried another club in the past, but they weren't interested in pairing me with others to play. Sarah brought me in, set me up for an evaluation, and introduced me to others. Fast forward a few years, and I now play 2-3 times /week, and I've made some truly awesome friends. The staff there is great and I always feel welcome when I'm onsite. It's definitely worth the membership.

Very helpful and kind staffs and coaches, all of them truly care and are just simply awesome people. Facility is very clean and lobby is comfy. All the members/players we met so far are all very friendly and fun people.

We signed up for GRSC at first because my kid was having summer camp there and member discount was worth signing up whole family 😅 but all of us are loving it now. There are Adults beginner and advanced tennis class and lots of all levels of games in weekday evenings and weekends that one can sign up, it got us exercise time and met new friends. The racquet sports being new to us, they will help you to pair into the right skill level and group to practice and have fun.

Summer is busy and fun: all-day-long summer camp and Saturday kids swimming classes, and pool opens Memorial Day to Labor Day ish. I appreciate the lots of beach chairs with umbrella and got to know other parents, and I enjoyed using peloton/mirror gym. Kids tennis classes are all year round at all sorts of levels, with many choices of times and days of week.

Summer time indoor court is free to book there are both tennis and pickle ball machines too. Outdoor court is free all year round. I'd say if tennis/pickleball/paddle/ summer pool/summer camp are of interests to parents and kids then it's great for the whole family.

If you want to meet some of the nicest people in our community and have some fun along with your exercise than this is the club for you. My wife and I are new to the area and have been members for just over a year now. Owner Sarah Boone and her staff go out of their way to make sure everyone knows everyone else. All levels of players are welcome. The classes will improve your skills and give you a workout at the same time. Facilities are clean and sanitary. There are great programs for kids of all ages. Very highly recommended.

When we moved to Guilford nearly 20 years ago, we knew we wanted a place where we could play tennis as a couple and introduce the game to our two children. With GRSC just about 5 minutes away, it was the perfect place to hone our game and meet new people in the community. Over the years, we've been thrilled with the improvements the club has made, including the recent addition of three outdoor Pickleball courts and 2 lighted Paddle courts. We're also happy with tennis clinic, season court and USTA offerings, which are conveniently organized by the club. Though all pros have something unique to offer, veteran pro Steve Godiksen has been particularly helpful to our tennis games, offering constructive advice in his laid back style. Our son Matt, who learned to play tennis at the club and went on to captain Holy Cross' team, is now an assistant pro there, sharing his love for the game with adults and juniors.

We who have joined the platform tennis program at GRSC are a lucky crew. To start with, we have two state-of-the-art courts for both day and lighted night play. Coach, Pam Welch, continues to provide a quality lesson program that includes positioning, corners, lobs, drives, net play and more. Learning to take the ball off the screens calls for some exciting geometric puzzle-solving on the fly. Lessons for beginners through advanced intermediates eventually propel graduates into the ranks of scheduled matches and leagues. The roster of players, men and women, consists of all levels, but one thing we have in common is a passion for fun. The compact nature of the court fosters a high degree of social interaction and banter. There's also the joy of playing outside year round, especially delightful on a moonlit night or even during a snow squall when the heated court surface quickly melts the falling snow. For "apres-paddle" we have the choice of a spacious outdoor deck or an air-conditioned hut. Luxurious!!
Thanks to the administration for staying attentive to our needs and for taking care of all those behind-the-scenes details necessary to maximize our enjoyment.

GRSC is great -- really everything you could want in a racquet club. Their attention to COVID-19 protocol and best practices is unparalleled to make sure everyone stays safe and healthy. They consistently go above and beyond the expectations of their members. They are currently resurfacing three of the 6 outdoor courts and it is this level of commitment to reinvest in their infrastructure that ideally ensures they will be there for decades to come.

I cannot say enough great things about the entire staff, from the tennis professionals to the people working the front desk. Scheduling is a breeze, individual lessons are exceptional, clinics, ladder matches, informal weekly singles and doubles leagues are all top notch and well-populated. It's a vibrant tennis community.

They also offer Pickleball, both informal daily matches, as well as all levels of instruction from beginner to seasoned veteran.

The summer camp is a knockout -- tennis, swimming, crafts, activities, all led by wonderful counselors -- my daughter adores it.

We are very fortunate to have such an amazing resource in our community. My only regret is that we didn't join sooner.

I never played tennis before joining the club. My wife and I joined because many of our children’s friends were at the club for the pool. Now I play tennis once a week.
