Nothing in the world is better than Friday morning summer beach yoga at Cove Island with Carol. All the stress thatβs built up in your body during the week magically disappears into the morning sunshine, cool breezes, and gentle waves of the Long island Sound. Wish we could do it year-round!

Carol's 5 Elements Chinese Medicine Card Deck gives me on-point guidance every time I turn to it! I love the synergy of integration of Chinese Medicine with Carol's wisdom. All done with loving and supportive intent. I highly recommend this deck as part of your every day self-care routine.

This class was an amazing experience for me and I am still feeling centered and grounded the next day! I loved everything about the class-your theme and the breath work and the movement and the sound bath and quiet all the way to your poem and the card at the end. It was really a profound experience for me and I canβt wait to come back!
I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am that I found you and your studio.
I am a yoga newbie and not in particularly great shape but I find the positions and movement in the beginner class to be a perfect mix of challenging and doable. I feel exhilarated when class is over and I already feel stronger. This class is so much more enjoyable for me than anything else Iβve ever tried.

I started yoga again after practicing it as a child (from books). During the pandemic, I tried taking YouTube classes but could never complete one class out of boredom or impatience. I have been experiencing more pain as I've aged and decided to take a class with Carol at the beginning of the year as a gift to myself. Carol is welcoming, experienced, humble, and gentle. I highly recommend Harmony yoga.

Carol is amazing. She can come to your home too. She is so thoughtful, caring, knowledgeable, attentive. I cant believe the progress Ive made so far thanks to her. She really understand the body, the energies, and adapts herself to your issue to help you. She has always a plan and follows up.

I had the amazing opportunity to co-teach a Restorative Yoga & Sound Bath Meditation workshop on Oct 8th, with Carol Shwidock. It was truly a transformative experience. Once Carol started the class you could feel a palpable energy shift in the room. It was like everyone took a deep breath, a big sigh together and then released with a long slow exhale.
We were all instantly in sync and moving/practicing together as a group.
I could feel that when we stated the Sound Bath part of the workshop that everyone had relaxed was was completely open to receive the Sound energy. Amazing group. Amazing teacher. Amazing class.
I look forward to our next collaboration! Namaste Carol

I took one of Carol's classes this week. It was a 30 minute virtual class that she had for cancer fighters and caregivers. In that short time, I was able to feel so relaxed and present in the moment. My shoulders were no longer high and close to my ears, that is where I carry all my stress. Thank you Carol for what you do. The power of it is quite amazing

Harmony Yoga Studio provides an intimate and beautiful community. Carol is the only teacher so every class is unique. As her daughter, she introduced me to yoga in my early teens and though it took me years to appreciate the practice, but now I am forever grateful. If I was still living in Stamford, you would absolutely see me in her classes!!

It has been the best experience. I'm a beginner but there is such a welcoming and positive atmosphere I don't feel terrible if I make a mistake. Carol has created a calm and peaceful place for all of us.

I have been practicing yoga at Harmony yoga for many years, and I always leave the class learning something new, be it a pose or practical wisdom for the life off the mat. Carol is a wonderful, experienced, caring and supportive teacher. The classes are never the same, and they are catered to various needs and levels. The atmosphere is welcoming and non-judgmental. The space is beautiful, and the music is soothing. Carol knows how to create a sanctuary with every class and a sense of peace that you can carry into the world outside.

Carol is a kind and talented yoga teacher. She is inspired by life. Her unique experience as an Occupational Therapist and Kripalu Yoga Instructor have given her a strong knowledge base to assist and support individuals exactly where they are. Carol provides encouragement and connects with people! She offers strategies which help me find more flexibility in my body. Carol's classes are fun with great music. I always leave feeling resilient, like I've given attention to my body and spirit and that I'm ready to enjoy my day! And besides, she is my sister so we've known each other a long time!!

I've been practicing yoga for a number of years now. I've been to all the studios in and around the Stamford area. Harmony Yoga is by far the BEST!!! Carol Shwidock is experienced, has an attention to detail, and she listens to each and every student. Every class seems like it was designed just for me. You owe it to yourself to try her class. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

I have used Carol and Harmony yoga since I moved East five years ago. After trying out a few other studios only to find gentle classes that were abusive, instructors that morphed my body into an abused pretzel and one class that was downright competitive in nature, I discovered Carol. She has a background in occupational therapy and many years' experience teaching yoga in a thoughtful way. If you're injured or new, she will customize the positions to suit your needs. If you're looking for more physical yoga, she kicks it up a notch or two and has you sweating. All classes end with a lovely shevasana where Carol reads inspirational poetry and uses aromatherapy to leave you in a state of pure bliss. You depart with a stronger, more fluid body and a peaceful, accepting frame of mind.
