The most beautiful yoga space I’ve been to. It’s always clean, spacious and has such a welcoming atmosphere. I’ve practiced at many studios all over the country and Hot on Bank is truly unique. Both locations are beautiful (can’t beat that Mystic view), and have a variety of classes to meet you wherever you are in your yoga journey. But the best part is the staff and students- it doesn’t matter if you’ve been coming for years or it’s your first day- they will welcome you like family. After participating in some traditional yoga classes, I was excited to give Hot On Bank a try and it did not disappoint. They offer "warm" classes which I actually prefer. It's cozy and your muscles are nice and warm, with a lot less sweat. Everyone working there was welcoming (appreciated the tour of the beautiful facility), the instructor was patient and provided alternate poses for the ones I was having difficulty with, and the owner, Meghan, was all smiles and support, it was like I knew her for years. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I definitely recommend trying a class at HOB. 5 stars!

I am not typically a yoga person by any means, but my friends told me to give it a try. I went to Meghan’s studio and she was so welcoming!!! I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do all the poses, but the modifications were spot on. There were more advanced students in the class, but I was assured to go at my own pace. I didn’t feel any pressure to be perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, and I highly recommend this calm, peaceful, reflective place to anyone seeking a safe space to practice yoga.

I had an absolutely fantastic class at Hot on Bank Mystic today! The studio is impeccably maintained—clean, well-organized, and the temperature was just right for a hot yoga session. The instructor was on point, guiding the class with clarity and intention. Hot on Bank is a serene, magical studio. I go every year for the gong bath and leave feeling melted to my bone.

This is my first review, which I'm writing because I saw the review from the girls who arrived late a couple of years ago. I was there and Meghan, kindly mentioned to all of us that we were waiting for people who hadn't arrived yet and that we would be starting a few minutes late in hopes that they would arrive.

When we started the gong bath, they still weren't there. I was deep in relaxation when they did arrive, knocking on the doors and yelling in the hallways.

Their review, disparaging Meghan and the person that she is, is gross in all forms. Meghan is a strong and loved business owner. I highly suggest giving any class at her studio a try.

very disappointed considering I traveled from south carolina to attend their event for the december gong.. In the past I have been to the New london studio and never had a bad experience. There was one instructor there at the mystic location tonight that was extremely rude and hostile. She didn’t greet anybody positively in fact, the total opposite. Sadly, she was very rude and unfriendly (clearly she was in a bad mood) This was suppose to be a relaxing and positive experience with good vibes and this woman (didn’t get her name, she was blonde) treated multiple customers with utter disrespect and arrogance. truly disappointed and will not ever be returning. she totally killed the vibe for the session and made it extremely unenjoyable which is truly unfortunate considering this has been something my family and i have anticipated for months. if you are going to book with this company, i recommend booking with Meg Crocker because she is absolutely awesome and knows how to run a class thoroughly making you leave feeling great.. I wish they would’ve scheduled her for this event and not this other woman. hopefully someone goes over kindness, respect, peace, and proper people training with this woman. (which you would assume she would have being a YOGA instructor) Also there was no parking, no signs for entry, and they began the class 20 minutes earlier than scheduled.

Meghan, I am deeply surprised and saddened by your response, especially given our positive experiences with your New London studio. Firstly, I assure you that my friend and I were not intoxicated; we were genuinely excited about the event and looked forward to it for months. Your characterization of our behavior is both untrue and hurtful. We arrived on time according to your listing of the schedule. There was clearly confusion on your part about the event’s start time and no clear signage or guidance for parking, which added to our difficulty in finding the correct entry.

1. My friend and I were not intoxicated. We attended the event with genuine excitement and anticipation.
2. We did not make anyone move for us. Your claim that the event was delayed waiting for us is false. We arrived based on the scheduled time and any delay was due to unclear signage and lack of parking guidance.
3. We did not engage in any disruptive behavior. Your description of us yelling and banging on doors is entirely untrue.

While I understand the challenges of running a small business, I believe that addressing customer concerns with empathy and understanding is crucial. My review aimed to highlight our disappointing experience with a specific instructor, hoping to provide constructive feedback. It’s disheartening to see this turn into a personal attack, especially given my previous support and positive feedback for your business. Your response not only misrepresents the situation but also shifts the blame onto us instead of addressing the legitimate concerns raised in my review. As a customer who has supported your business, I expected better treatment and respect. What’s truly embarrassing is the amount of lies in the responses that the owner has written in response to the reviews my friend and myself wrote. She explained that my friend and I were 15 mins late, when we were 2 mins late. The only reason we were late was because it was snowing and there was no parking available in the lot and this was a new facility I had not visited before. I usually would visit their other facility, the new London location. She also lied about us not paying for the event meanwhile we both paid a month in advance (which is in the images attached). Lastly, they had also lied about us “expecting other members to move for us”. That is completely inaccurate as well. Not once did my friend nor I voice or expect any other participant to move for us. Come on, what type of people do that. As a small business , I would be receptive to feedback, which I’m entitled to giving as a customer paying money for an experience. If my experience wasn’t that great, I’m going to speak about it. This is what helps a small business to improve. So, you can either be open to the feedback and improve or you can sit here and try to lie and make yourselves feel better. Either way I can spend my money else where. I will not have my character lied upon and disrespected. Shame on you and your facility.

Hot on Bank teachers are all expertly trained and intent on holding the space well for students to develop a yoga practice that is life affirming and sustainable. Gem of a place nestled in Old Mystic down the road from the BF Clyde's. I started going to Hot on Bank New London years ago and was excited to hear that a second location was opening up.

The teachers are welcoming and compassionate at both studios and there's a ton of offerings between the spaces: vinyasa, yin, restorative, heated or non-heated classes. Throughout the year there are offerings from gong bath meditations, Ayurvedic learning, and plenty of continuing education courses.

Whether you've been practicing for years or are brand new to yoga, there's a lot to choose from.

This studio may not be for everybody. When you buy passes you have 6 months to use them. In my wife's situation this ended up being stressful trying to use up her passes before they expired.
That being said the owner personally reached out to say she is willing to extend passes past their expiration date.
Either way I think people who are busy and can only make the occasional class would be better off paying for classes individually or going elsewhere.
