Decent gym, but I’m starting to wonder if the “yearly equipment fee” is just a fancy way of saying “tip jar for the owner.” I’ve been a member for over a year, and not a single piece of worn-out equipment has been reupholstered. One urinal has been out of service the entire time—it’s basically part of the décor now. The water fountains are breaking down like they’re in a drama series, and no one seems in a rush to fix them. If you enjoy old school gym vibes with a side of broken facilities, this place is for you. Otherwise, might be worth checking out a gym that actually reinvests in itself.

Edit: It’s disappointing—but not surprising—that Iron Factory Gym’s response to a factual, calm review is to escalate with accusations of blackmail and legal threats. This kind of behavior says more about how the business handles pressure than anything I wrote in the review.

I submitted my cancellation four days after the billing cycle began, delayed only by a family emergency. I paid in full for the month of May and simply requested not to be charged for June, a month I will not be using the gym. This wasn’t a demand to break a contract, it was a request for a fair resolution based on basic human context that I'm sure any human would think is normal and appropriate given the context.

Using a public review during a negotiation is not harassment, it’s transparency. It’s what any reasonable consumer would do to document their experience. Offering to remove that review if the issue was resolved is not blackmail; it’s negotiation. If you can’t handle the heat of a fair negotiation, you probably shouldn’t be in the kitchen.

What’s more striking is the gym’s eagerness to escalate over a $51 charge. They claim legal action, yet won’t spend money to fix a urinal that’s been broken for over a year or reupholster visibly torn equipment. That contrast doesn’t reflect a business invested in its members, it reflects one invested in control and making as much money as possible.

When businesses react this defensively to fair criticism, it speaks volumes. I didn’t expect this to become adversarial, but the tone and approach taken by Iron Factory Gym have made it clear what their priorities are, and fairness and doesn’t appear to be one of them.

The best gym in the area by far!! I was a member here for a few years when they first opened, untill I moved to Florida.

I’m here visiting and the staff/owner was accommodating to help me with a temp-membership. The gym has grown and expanded alot since I was last here, so clearly ownership has reinvested and still has the same passion for this gym.

It is the ideal gym for anyone looking to body build or power lift, but also a good choice for even the more ‘casual’ gym goer since everyone here is friendly. I’ll miss coming to this place!

They have an excellent facility here. It is multi room and 24 hours a day. Great place to get into a groove. If you want to get away from the selfie fake sweat wanna-be influencers, this is the gym for you. Free weights, turf, and kickboxing. High recommend for the area

If you are a serious fitness enthusiast and live within a 15 mile radius of this fitness kingdom and are worth a little pricier facility because you feel that your mind and body and results are worth it. Then look nowhere else.
There are numerous fine exercises studios fitness centers, gyms, and some circus shows but for the best body then use the best gym

I've been training at Iron factory gym for 5 months and the facilities are incredible. I love this gym. Never overcrowded but it's so big this wouldn't be a problem. Staff is accommodating to any needs. Clean because the members are respectful of the facility. I highly recommend Iron factory gym.

Buyer beware - I bought a one year membership at this gym and paid for it in full. Six months into the membership my job is requiring me to move across country. I contacted the gym to ask for a refund for the remainder six months that I will not be able to use due to the move, and the manager told me that they will not issue a refund. I've also asked the staff to inform the owner about my situation, but the owner, Matt, is refusing to return any of my calls. By refusing to refund the remainder balance of my unused membership, the owner of this gym is enriching himself from an out-of-my control "act of God". I hope people will learn from my experience and consider all options before buying a membership at this gym.

Echoing a lot of the other reviews here. I’ve been coming to Iron Factory for the last few months as I recently moved to the area, and I can genuinely say that this is the most incredible gym I’ve ever been to. Seriously, this place is a lifter’s PARADISE. There’s a ridiculous amount of equipment here with different variations.

With that being said, if you…

-lack general gym etiquette
-are easily distracted by working out alongside pro body builders and strongmen
-get weirded out if someone asks to work-in to a machine between your sets or asks for a spot
-dislike when folks film themselves lifting

…then IFG may not be for you. This gym definitely has a vibe to it that attracts a no-nonsense crowd who are serious and passionate about lifting. They do have cardio machines and turf as well, but the gym’s name really does it justice.

It’s a true community here where I feel inspired to do my absolute best and improve every time I lift.

This is a "serious" gym for "serious" people. I used to go the Edge, but I found The edge impossible to get my planned workout in due to the crowds and a relatively lack of equipment (they only have 3 proper squat racks). But Iron Factory has more than enough of what I want and enough space for everyone. It can be a bit intimidating for a newcomer but no one has ever been rude or inconsiderate to me and the staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable for the times I had a question. All around a great gym if you want a no-no sense place to get your training in.

Edit: 2023 and Iron Factory has expanded considerably and is now almost too big but the facilities are hugely improved and it is an even better place to get a work out in.

Besides the price point, I love this gym. Have been to many 24 gyms both small and large. Been here for about 6 months and little to no complaints. Yeah you sometimes get those tiktok / influencer people recording but they seem respectful. I love the equipment and seem to be building more. I’m honestly surprised that this gym doesn’t or have a sauna. For the size of this place there is deff enough space for a male and female sauna. That is probably my own gripe. But the staff and managers are super cool, down to earth and always give advice and information if asked. Don’t plan on leaving this place unless I move.

Great gym, been going here for close to two years. Always clean, has any machine you can think of and the staff is very friendly and helpful. In the front they have a wide selection of protein, pre-workout and other supplements. Doesn’t get too crowded because of how big it is, although the parking at around 5/6pm on a weekday can be slim. Gym is 24/7 too which is really convenient.

I love this gym, unfortunately having to look elsewhere due to it being far from home, but it was a great experience here! The renovations they have done are incredible, they have multiples of all the equipment so you never have to wait to use machinery. Nice new equipment.. I'd say my only complaint is how crowded it is in the evening, that is the only time I find myself having to wait for equipment. I typically go in the morning though so it wasn't an issue for me. I will miss Iron Factory greatly!

Absolutely amazing gym before and after the recent renovation! Bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, crossfit, cardio doesnt matter its all there under one roof. The gym staff is absolutely amazing very helpful and down to earth, they workout themselves so they have a stake in the experience of the gym. Plenty of good lighting everywhere for a quick peak check- absolutely love this gym and to have such elite equipment for all purposes is really a blessing to the local area. The owners really care and it shows with how much theyve put into the place and nothing new has been ignored which just shows how in touch they are with their customers.

Truly a one-of-a-kind gym. Whether you’re a power lifter, Olympic lifter, bodybuilder, just starting, cardio fanatic, etc. this gym has the equipment for you; not to mention, some pieces of equipment that I can’t find at any other gyms in the area. The majority of the members I’ve ran into seem to share the same passion for the gym and leave all the drama at the door: a refreshing change from other gyms I’ve been a member of. Absolutely the best gym in the area. I came here from the Edge and it is nowhere near as crowded and has way better equipment. Even at iron factory's peak hours, you always have room to yourself. Boss is so friendly and so is the rest of the staff. If you're a strength athlete, there are a ton of other like minded people. The gym is super welcoming of all people and has a great community.

Staff is great. First gym ive been to in years where the staff is as cool as this place. Gym is also perfect. They have every piece of weight equipment you need lighting is good not to bright or dark its a huge place. The price is good. And almost everyone who goes to this gym is chill that ive met. I have been a member for about a month now, and i could not be happier with my choice. I have loved fitness since i was a child and been involved in the fitness industry for 15 years. This gym out performs any gym i have ever been a member of. They have a wide variety of equipment that caters to all types of training such as bodybuilding, endurance training, powerlifting, and olympic lifting. The facility is always clean and the machines are always in top working order. The staff is very friendly and always available for questioning, and the members are amazing as well. There are many gyms in the area, and i have been to them all. I suggest Iron Factory to everyone i meet, and i hope you check it out. You will not be disappointed.

I have been looking for a serious weightlifting gym for a while now.
Was brought as a guest one night. We arrived at 7:50 and apparently the guest cutoff is 8 o'clock so the extremely unfriendly person at the front desk told us we can only have a 10 minute workout. So he gave me a quick tour for 10 minutes. Was pleased with the equipment. Had it not been for the horrible kid at the front desk. I would have purchased a year membership. I was looking to workout with new friendly people. Not create enemies right off the bat.

High quality facility for both gym veterans and those just starting out. This gym was recently renovated in the spring and has doubled in size. Great location, near the heart of Brookfield and minutes from 84. Love the addition of that open turf area for circuit training and stretching. Laid back environment and a loose guest policy. If they sign a waiver, they have no issues if you bring a friend. They offer an excellent range of equipment, including several racks of free weights and a ton of new machines. I originally joined this gym because it is open 24 hours/ 7 days a week, unlike the majority of gyms in this area which close early on certain days or have weird weekend hours. I am very glad I did. Can't recommend this place enough.

I've been going to Iron Factory for about 9 months. The facility just added over 7000 square feet of space and a ton of new equipment. If you like to train hard and get your workouts done while meeting like minded people I would highly suggest this place. The gym is never over crowded like larger gyms in the area and the staff is super friendly whenever you enter the gym.

I LOVE THIS GYM. This is the most comfortable gym I have ever had the opportunity to go to. I am thankful for knowing a place like this exist, as if it were designed with me in mind. I like to lift (relatively) heavy, use chalk and be able to drop the weights onto a lift platform, yell "LIGHTWEEEEEEEIGHT BABEH!!!!" and not feel out of place. The owner (Matt) can often be found at the gym, working the front desk, meeting with customers, helping, improving... I can tell he is fully committed to his gym and to his patrons. If you have a special situation and long-term contracts are not your thing or are out of the question, they will work something out with you. Also, they just had a MASSIVE expansion. Iron Factory Gym now has turf, crossfit equipment (fitness gypsies), a BUNCH of new implements and weights. I disliked Danbury, but I would not mind living there knowing that I can attend IFG. I wish nothing but success to this place.

First off by far my favorite gym in the 203 area. The owner is great and very friendly as well with the rest of the staff. It's nice to have a true 24/365 gym especially around the holidays. It is a serious gym for serious lifter that shouldn't be intimidating to new lifters. I wish I still lived there to see the new renovations that they were doing so they could put in a yoke, sled, and other fun stuff. It will definitely be my gym of choice when coming home for the holidays.
