I recently had to cancel my LA Fitness membership due to moving too far from any of the locations, and I just wanted to share how seamless the entire process was. Charlie, who assisted me, was fantastic—professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. He made everything quick and hassle-free, which I really appreciated.

This place is so nice and quiet. I love coming in 5/6am to work out. but i see how these old members treat the front desk. This sweet girl i always stop and talk to before my workout, i don’t know her name but she is nothing but kind. How these miserable people talk to her is ridiculous. they are condescending, rude, and entitled and even then..she is respectful. I have gotten into arguments with these people and how they approach her. This is not welcoming to see this behavior from members.

September 17, 2025. As usual, I came to the swimming pool for my workout, typically from 6:30–7:30 a.m., during which I usually swim 20–30 laps. Every day when I arrive, I make it a point to greet the front desk staff.

However, I have recently noticed something concerning: the morning receptionist has stopped greeting me and even pretends to be on the phone. At first, when it happened once or twice, I thought it was just a coincidence. But today, the third time, I am quite certain that I was being ignored. For example, when I arrived, he suddenly started tapping his pen on the desk, and as soon as I finished scanning and walked past, he stopped immediately.

If this behavior reflects discrimination, I would like to bring it to your attention. I have been coming here regularly for swimming for 10 years, about three times a week at very consistent times. If this continues, I will have a very negative impression of this place.

I am honestly surprised that there are so many positive reviews for this gym. This gym is filthy. I have been to several other LA Fitness locations across the country and have never seen one this gross. I know the cardio machines are not cleaned regularly because I saw the same trash shoved in the cup holder of an elliptical machine for the last three days (discarded fake hair and a used tissue). The odor of the gym is unbearable. The staff never appear to be doing anything. There is never anyone working close to the front desk. The equipment is dirty, the sauna disgusting, the pool...I would only go to this location if you're looking to catch a fungal infection with the hopes of getting some days off from work.

The customer service from management has been super poor. I have tried to reach a manager at this location for over a week and I have not been contacted as I had requested. It is amazing how they are so eager to get you signed up and when you are a prospective member they bug the heck out of you, but once you are signed up and then you need something you cannot get in touch with anyone. It is very disappointing.

I am happy to give LA Fitness in Milford a five-star rating, primarily because of the exceptional service provided by Julia K. She went above and beyond, demonstrating genuine compassion and outstanding customer care.

During my visit, I purchased a Powerade from the vending machine, but unfortunately, it did not dispense my drink. Julia K quickly stepped in, showing empathy and kindness. She went out of her way to help me, even offering me her water bottle and pre-workout to ensure I could stay hydrated and have a good workout. Her thoughtfulness truly made a difference, and I am sincerely grateful for her assistance.

Additionally, her coworker, Tabish, also showed concern when the vending machine took my money. He went above and beyond to ensure he did everything he could to resolve the issue.

Thanks to employees like Julia K and Tabish, I feel valued and appreciated, which is why I continue to choose LA Fitness Milford. They truly make a difference.

I got a paid in full membership. went 5 times and that was it. the sales guy alex was phenomenal, and honestly he's too good for this place but anyway....the gym is filthy. there's legit water damage, all over the place ! so many cardio machines out of order. facility actually smells.
as someone in the fitness industry this is unacceptable. the fact that I paid before touring the facility says everything. you are literally grossed out even being there. it should be free. in fact they should be the ones paying people to workout. There is no way there's a corporate team that knows this place looks like this and lets it happen.
save your money and time! joined a different gym for my own sense of peace so I could know i'm not working out in a filthy disgusting building
