I have to say when I was introduce to Master Hwangs I fell in love with how genuine they were to my son. He was recently diagnosed with adhd and needed to be in a disciplined structure activity. On most days my favorite part of the day is sitting mat side in one of Hwang’s classes. The Instructors are patient, encouraging thorough and have an all around good aura about them. One of the reasons I like it here is the community. The families are respectful and committed to the experience. There are events each month for Families and Students to interact outside of normal instruction.We went to a nerf night, movie night, board breaking marathon; all were really fun and well organized. As a parent, I love how much the Hwangs staff partners with ME in guiding my boys to solid values like self discipline & self respect . They encourage good “black belt” behavior OFF the bat just as much as ON the mat.
One of my boys has ADHD & the Hwangs program has done a world of good for his focus, but also building his confidence in being able to succeed at hard things.

It's not one of those classes with a bunch of hardcore yelling. The focus is on teaching. I can see my son will continue to make progress and eventually be a black belt.

Hi my name is Eli and I started coming to Hwang karate school to learn about new moves but my teachers also showed me that what I learn in class I have to do in my life too. I learned to be nicer to my sister & more respect to everyone. I am still learning but I learn more when I go here because they show me how important it is to show respect if I want to get it. My 4 year old daughter joined Master Hwang’s martial arts a couple of months ago and honestly, it was one of the best decisions we’ve made. She has already learned so much and always looks forward to each class. The teachers are super nice and very patient. I admire their ways of teaching the children. They make each class fun and engaging for all the children. I hope my daughter can continue learning and growing with this wonderful company. Highly recommend 😊

From the first time we set foot into the studio we were amazed by the professionalism, communication, efficiency, all wrapped in fun!
Our son (7 years old) has been going for 4 months now and absolutely loves it!
The ongoing collection of weekly attendance stripes (which are part of the requirements to qualify for the next higher belt test) and the ability to go any day of the week as often as we want makes this a very convenient, fun, and helpful hobby!
Helpful for us as parents because it absolutely helps with daily listening ears and respect, as well as self discipline.
One of my favorite features are the small cards that can be signed by parents or teachers once the child works successfully on skills such as kindness, confidence, etc.
The cards even show examples how to successfully work on each skill.
Our son loves to pick them out and after 2 weeks earn a different kind of stripe which also is needed to qualify for the next higher belt test.
The training doesn’t consist of just the time spend at the studio- it is part of our daily habits now, with everybody at home truly enjoying it!
We have absolutely noticed a positive change in our son’s life after joining!!

We love Hwang's!! My daughter has been there since she was a Little Dragon (age 3) and has learned so much! Not only the art of Tae Kwon Do but also self-confidence, leadership skills, and..... well you'll need to join to find out the rest. They had a Mother's Day Special for the students and their moms/mom-figures and it was a fun, and active, time to spend with
our kids. The instructors are amazing - so patient and kind with the students, and respectful and courteous to the parents.

My son is a student and loves it. The instructors are attentive and invested in the advancement of each and every student. They always take time to greet the parents with a sir or ma’am and answer questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. I would most definitely recommended Hwang’s to anyone who’s thinking about trying martial arts!

My son, Conner, began taking Hapkido classes at Hwangs a little over a year ago. He had already earned his third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do from a different school. Starting all over as a white belt in a new martial art was frustrating for him, being that he was 16 years old, but Master Charlip and the other instructors were patient and encouraging. Conner went from "I'll just try it out" to "I can do this" in just a few classes. He is enjoying the classes on Monday and Wednesday nights. Hwangs feels more like a family than a school. Conner and I recommend it for anyone who has thought about taking martial arts. Just try it; you might just find that you can do it.

We love Hwang’s, and love that in addition to martial arts, they also focus on behavior at home and teaching kids to be good humans! I do think that the price hikes this year were too much and have discouraged new families from joining.

my son and i are students at this school for several years now and when we are their we are treated with respected and we have a great relationship as well as other parents and students with the school and their instructors. They school is great with children and a great school fitness and self denfense for adults also
