I've worked out at many gyms and even worked with personal trainers over the years ... I've never seen the results like I have with Kong! The owner, teachers and members are extremely encouraging. Between the food recommendations, the workout routines and the people it's a combo that can't be beat! 😃

Great place - has all the instruction and equipment you'd expect from a world-class gym. The atmosphere, people, and the management are excellent! In only two weeks - I feel so much stronger and confident in my mechanics already. It's my first time doing CrossFit - and they've made it a great experience.

Sketchy. Will offer you a 'free' challenge and then charge you for it. I tried it under the agreement that if I could qualify for a refund if certain circumtances didn't allow me to finish the challenge. I had to move and tried talking to them for a refund but wont return the emails I've send them for weeks. Dont try it. For the same amount they charge you for the challenge you could hire somebody else who would give you a personalized rutine and diet

THANK YOU Kong CrossFit of Norwalk: Chris, AUTUMN, and staff. Your 6 week challenge cracked the code to good eats, exercise, and positive results in a most supportive and group environment. Kudos to your business! I weighed out at 22lbs lighter so thank you to all staff and fellow challengers. Keep eating your protein, veggies, smart carbs and fats and follow that A1 Meal Plan.
KONG CROSSFIT (Norwalk or Shelton) is a place to check out. Ask for Christopher Wyant.

It pains me to not give Kong Crossfit 5 stars because I so badly wanted to love the facility and the program they offer. But, I am giving an unbiased, honest review - as the majority of their reviews are a requirement to successfully finish the 6 week challenge.
6 Week Transformation Challenge - You need to pay ~$500 up front, are given a 'decent' but restrictive meal plan, need to attend 3 workouts per week and promote the business by "checking in" on Facebook. There is a Facebook group full of individuals pushing you and sharing meals and recipes. You only get your money back if you lose either 20 lbs or 5% body fat, depending on your BMI, and post 5 star reviews online.
If you're unsuccessful during the challenge, the only reason that you could not be losing weight is supposedly due to thyroid issues, nothing else. I fell into that category and have no thyroid issues at all and am now out $500, which sucks, but this plan just didn't work for me, apparently.
The Facility Itself - Pretty bare bones, but they do have what you need to get a decent sweat on. You can only attend 2 as a new member part of the transformation challenge and they got incredibly crowded. That being said, there was a lot of standing around waiting for everyone to get up to speed and understand the movements. I respect wanting everyone to feel safe, however I feel like I wasted 3 hours of my time every week, when the time actually working out is extremely quick ~25 minutes.
Overall, if you have an extra $500 laying around, want someone to hold your hand while you're working out and give you a meal plan, this might be the option for you. But for someone like me, it didn't work and there was no attempt to contact me to continue my membership.

Just completed my 6 week challenge and definitely recommend Kong to anyone looking to get back into or jumpstart a more fit life style. The coaches were very accommodating and supportive. As someone who has never done CrossFit before I felt extremely comfortable jumping right in. Great gym, great team, great results!

Kong Crossfit in Norwalk is a Great gym. I participated in the 6 week Fitness Challenge , my goal was to lose 20lbs or 5% body fat. I have done Bootcamps in the past and had good results but never did Crossfit. The 6 week program consisted of 3 workouts a week plus a meal plan. The workouts are as challenging as you want to make them, and they accommodate any level of fitness. The harder you push the more you get out of it, using weights as opposed to just body weight makes a huge difference in results compared to Bootcamp. The meal plan is definitely not a starvation diet, the first week was actual a challenge to eat all the food required. As my body began to work harder I found myself actually needing all the food specified in the plan. Also as part of the challenge everyone in the group posts their meals which provides lots of support from the group including feedback on good or bad meal choices and endless ideas on how to prepare the items on the food plan. Overall this was a fantastic 6 week experience, I hit my goal losing 21.6 lbs as well as just over 4% body fat. All my clothes fit better or or too big now. I have joined the gym for the next year so hope to lose another 30lbs.

Coming into this facility I did not expect to learn so much. The knowledge all the trainers carry is phonemenal. I was disappointed that there was little patience being that this is basically my first time working out and I do not know all the terms and work outs. I tried my best and I know it took me maybe even 5 times to get it right but the attitude by some trainers or even some of the people wasn’t needed. Other than that, it really does work! I lost 15lbs in 6 weeks. Atmosphere is pretty chill. Everyone is pretty to themselves and that was fine. I personally find it a little expensive but you get what you pay for. CrossFit works!

I did the 6 week challenge with Kong Crossfit and was successful! I lost 20.6 lbs (it was close, definitely left me in a sweat).
Either way, i looked better, i felt better, but my bank account didnt like affording foods that were good for me lol.
Try it out, but stay consistent! i never cheated, even on New Years when everyone was celebrating with a glass of champagne.
My body (most importantly my face) shows a difference, I'm stronger, and my cardio stamina has increased.
One thing i would change is the uneven surfaces of the gym floor, and having an earlier K45 class (like 530pm instead of 730pm) so i didnt have to eat dinner late.
See for yourself and take a chance!

SEEMS LIKE FRAUD! Giveaway "free 3 months" commercial is 6 weeks with a 499 up front payment that's not refundable if you don't loose 5% in fat %. Clearly just want the money bc I can't loose 5% bc of my shape in 6 weeks and he wanted me to sign up anyway. They don't have more than a "flag" store sign and nobody was there. Really seems like FRAUD!!!!!! The seller was clearly not personally intreainted in personal goals eather.

Kong CrossFit is an accessible, knowledgeable box that does a great job both ushering in new members and keeping experienced athletes driven. By offering programs such as the 6 Week Challenge and their K45 class, CrossFit neophytes are given a safe, supportive, supervised intro into the movements and workouts that may be new to them. The weekly barbell clubs ensure that cryptic code words such as "snatch" and "clean and jerk" soon become smoothly intregrated into both their vocabulary and their muscle memory. The coaches really know their stuff - they are constantly supervising the athletes and offering corrections on form and efficiency to keep you safe and make you stronger. And, like many CrossFit boxes, there is awesome comraderie among the members, which manifests in cheering each other on during WODs and in huge turnouts to social events. If you want to feel like a badass, give CrossFit & Kong a try!

Awesome Crossfit Experience. I did a Month on Groupon. Enjoyed the Coaching, Location, Facilities, and the friendships with fellow Cross Fitters. Although, I ended up joining another Crossfit Facility closer to home, this experience gave me a fitness routine that I hope to do the rest of my life. Cheers.

Love this place! The coaches are dedicated and extremely knowledgeable in teaching CrossFit. They are tenacious about keeping us safe from injuries while having fun. I've been training here for almost 4 months and am getting so strong without getting hurt! I have tried all sorts of sports and gyms and have a long laundry list of past injuries. I feel great...

Did a few drop in sessions and this place is phenomenal. Chris and David were great coaches and both gave me feedback that helped me incredibly. These guys know Crossfit/lifting/training forward and back and if you want to learn how to crush the rowing machine just ask Chris to help you (I beat my old 2k time by nearly 35 seconds after working with Chris for 10 minutes).
I now look forward to every time I come to the area for trips because it means I get to come here and learn more from these guys.

This gym is top notch. I was in CT just for the summer and found this gym in my first week. I signed up after my first class because I was so impressed by the facility and the coaching. They gym is huge with all of the equipment you could ever need. David and Chris are amazing coaches and I learned so much from them in one summer. Everyone was so nice and friendly and totally embodied the CrossFit community that I love. I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the area! They will help you get where you want to be regardless of your fitness level, and you will have a ton of fun doing it. Sad I have to leave!

Kong Crossfit is one of the best gyms I have ever been to. It is such a great environment with a supportive community of fellow crossfitters. The gym is huge, very clean, and has reasonable pricing. Give it a try for a month and I promise that you'll learn to love it!

Kong is a fantastic combination of high quality training and incredible community spirit. After more than four years at Kong, I am definitely in the very best shape of my life. The programming is never boring and very effective at building fitness over time.
If you are only able to come Monday, Wednesday and Friday, you can expect a variety of workouts. You don't need to worry that you will be doing the same movements every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Workouts also are well designed for members of all ages and at a huge variety of strength/endurance/skill levels. Do NOT feel like you need to get in shape BEFORE you come to Kong. Everyone starts somewhere. If you're in great shape, don't think Kong will be too "easy" for you either. I have watched Kong workouts completely destroy div 1 college athletes, but ultimately take them to whole new levels of strength and fitness.
I can't say enough about the Kong community. Every day we are there for each other, for support, socializing, celebrating, etc. Saturday morning workouts in particular bring everyone together, with team workouts, lots of cheering, and a large group crossing the street to share breakfast afterwards. We happy hour together, raise money for charities together, compete together, collapse in exhaustion together, and cheer loudly together for first pull ups, first muscle ups and PRs of all sorts. Love this place.

This place has changed my love for fitness. From the moment I walked into Kong I was part of a family. Here ego is left at the door. There is no "I'm better then you" attitude here, everyone is on the same level no matter if you can lift just a 25lb bar to lifting 220. The coaches are amazing. They can tell if you're having a bad day because they actually get to know you. You're family here if you've been at Kong from the beginning or just walked in on your first day of on ramp. If you're ever afraid or have had a bad experience at another Crossfit gym, come to kong and you'll never go back to a regular gym or quit in general. Everyone here cheers you on and pushes you to do "your" best not what is on the whiteboard.

Kong is an amazing place with a very supportive community , but one concern from a group of members - it would be great if the management can invest in experienced coaches who can help the athletes with the best technique to get to next level instead of wanting them to just finish the workouts. Would also appreciate if all the coaches are sociable and pleasant with the members.
The facilities are good and no one can beat the community !

The coaches, community and programmed are unrivaled in the area. Having been a member since 2011, I've gotten stronger and faster with the programming, continue to learn and improve under the supervision of the stellar coaches, and with the encouragement of the Kong Community.

Best place to workout! I joined Crossfit not knowing anything about it and the Kong coaches were so patient and thorough while teaching me. The community there is great, everyone is so friendly, and we all enjoy hanging out outside the gym too. Kong Crossfit is the most badass Crossfit gym in Fairfield county!

The coaches and facilities at Kong Crossfit are terrific. It's a challenging workout but coaches are highly attentive and help newbies and lifelong athletes alike to achieve incredible results. The membership is a great reflection of the spirit of the place: really cool people of every background, just as encouraging of our new members as of the strongest athletes in the box. I've visited a ton of Crossfit boxes during my travels and Kong is the best of the bunch by a mile.

The members that make up the Kong Crossfit Community are the best around. The rush you get from becoming stronger and faster than you ever have before is like nothing else in the world. Getting to share that experience with a group of people forges some tightest friendships you could ever hope to have. Kong has all the equipment needed to give you a full body workout every time you take a class.
I’ve personally experienced a wide range of physical training programs having played multiple high school sports and serving in the Army; none of which can compare to the results I have seen here. The coaches are friendly, energetic, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to health and fitness. They help us set realistic goals as well as motivate us to achieve new levels above and beyond anything we had previously thought was possible.
I would HIGHLY recommend Kong Crossfit to everyone from the experienced athlete to those just looking for that first step to make some positive changes. Kong has not only pushed me to new heights physically, but helped me carry that energy to better other aspects of my life.
