I am just getting back into fitness after being pregnant & going through the newborn trenches. (If you know you know lol) I truly believe that I have found exactly what I have been looking for & what I needed. I am very new to sessions wellness but wanted to highlight some things that stand out compared to other experiences that I’ve had elsewhere. Sessions has the feel of a caring and involved community. My very first day coming in, I spoke to the owner, Kris and it was honestly a breath of fresh air. She was so welcoming, informative and knowledgeable when it comes to the fitness and nutrition world. The energy is friendly, inviting, and motivating from the moment I walk in the door to the moment I leave every single time. With the judgment free feel from not only the coaches but also the other women that I’m side by side putting the work in with, I can push myself to my own limits and not have another thought in mind other than trying to be better than I was yesterday. ALSO, the schedule is so flexible. There is a class every day that I can find time to make it to which is HUGE with my busy schedule and new baby. There are also so many varieties of classes to keep things interesting! You can tell that the coaches truly care and put in a lot of time thought and effort into how they run their classes and I can’t express enough how much I appreciate their approach and efforts. I can’t wait to see my progress over the next few months because I already know it’s going to be life changing. I would 10/10 recommend coming here to start or continue your fitness/health/nutrition journey!

Joining this gym has been life changing. I have never been a morning person- usually I DREAD my alarm going off (even if it’s at 9am) but ever since I started going to Ida’s 5am FIT class, I pop right up at 4:15!! The encouragement from the others in the class and the instructor is incredible. Sessions is a community filled with all ages, all shapes and sizes, all experience levels. Whether you are a thicker gal like me who can barely lift those heavy 8 pounders (LOL!) or a super fit marathon runner who throws around 25+ pounders OR someone who just wants to learn how to workout while listening to some awesome music…I promise you, you will fit in.
Sessions Wellness is filled with an incredible group of humans!!

The Sessions Wellness Studio app they use is extremely user friendly and makes scheduling classes seamless! The instructors at both sites are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful! 5 stars does not do Sessions justice. Walking into a group fitness class can be intimidating (I know taking that first step for me was!) but the community at Sessions could not have been more welcoming. The instructors are encouraging and so knowledgeable, the others in the classes are inviting and inspiring. From the second I walked into my first class I was welcomed with open arms (thanks Erica!) and now I look forward to my workouts. There are so many classes to pick from and so many convenient times that there’s no excuse not to go. Who knew working out could be this much fun!

I started going to Sessions Wellness in mid-April with the two-week new client trial, and I ended up signing up for the unlimited membership soon after—and honestly, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. I usually go about four times a week and have tried a bunch of different classes. I’ve always done weight training at home, but I really needed the extra push when it came to cardio (because let’s be real—I won’t do it on my own).

Every class I’ve taken has been such a good experience. I’ve lost over 15 pounds in the first month, but more than that, I’ve felt like I’ve reconnected with a version of myself I haven’t seen in a long time. The energy here is so positive—everyone is super welcoming and kind, not cliquey at all. The instructors are warm, encouraging, and genuinely make you feel good about showing up.

The price might seem a little steep, but it’s so worth it for what it does for both your body and your mindset. Big thank you to the Sessions team! 🫶🏻

Norwich has a variety of classes! Yoga, spin, hitt and lots more. You have so many options to switch things up. Griswold gym is my home gym but Norwich was worth the drive once in a while. The energy is amazing and the workouts were great! My favorite thing about sessions is all levels are welcome. Old or young, big or small, fit or not. They always work along side your needs/ modifications or always willing to push you harder for a challenge if they know you’re capable! Sessions both locations are highly recommended!!

Nobody really tells you how easy it is to lose yourself after having a kid. Going to the gym and working out used to be a non-negotiable part of my daily routine. But after becoming a mom, your focus shifts—suddenly everyone else’s needs come first, and you forget to prioritize yourself.

Two years ago, I talked to my husband about wanting to get back to the gym, to reconnect with myself again. I joined their summer program and absolutely loved it—but once it ended, I didn’t keep up with it. I signed up for a gym membership, but that didn’t last long either.

A few weeks ago, I talked to my husband again about wanting to rejoin Session, especially now that they opened a Norwich location. We knew we’d need to adjust our budget, but he was fully on board—as he always says, “It’s an investment in our bodies.” After almost a full week back, my heart is genuinely happy.

The community is amazing, and the variety of classes is incredible! I took my first spin class with Sonia—honestly, I thought I was going to hate it and never go back… but I ended up craving more and went to the next class with Coach Ida. I also tried the Vibe class, and it might be one of my favorites!

I’m so excited to be back. And if you’re worried about the cost, think of it this way: one month at Session—investing in you—is about the same as eating out twice in today’s world. It’s so worth it, and I’d recommend it to everyone!

I cannot say enough great things about Sessions in Norwich. It is so much more than a gym, but a wonderful community of uplifting individuals. I started attending a little over a year ago, after I had my first son. Currently, I just had my second son 2 weeks ago, and I continued to attend classes right up until my delivery. All the coaches showed me modifications and I was able to do all the classes offered. All the coaches are welcoming and meet everyone at their current fitness level. I always looked forward to my morning workout with Ida, and I cannot to return in the near future. If anyone has the slightest interest in checking Sessions out, do it, you will not regret it!

A year ago I was driven by ambulance to the hospital after being wheeled out of my home on a stretcher, I injured my back exercising and discovered I had years of disc injuries that I never addressed, I now have 2 protruding discs in my lower back. Coming to sessions wellness studio was the best decision I ever made, I tried getting back into exercising from walking running lifting and free play sports, nothing would last long enough to improve my health as it would flare up my back. Somehow, coach Ida designs fun, effective, and safe workouts for my back. Spinning coach Sonia (and now Greg!) pushes me to limits I can accomplish and feel proud of. And Coach Kris inspires and me and strengthens my core in ways that helped the hope return to me after almost a year of “failed” attempts to improve my health. I am so grateful to have found a place I can move my body, group fitness classes don’t mean you can’t build muscle, I used to deadlift 235lbs easily for 3x10-15, but my leg muscles still get taxed in these spin classes and an Ida leg day. Ida is able to give me alternatives if I join a class for legs and share an exercise irritates my back. Both classes with Ida and Kris have helped build a core that is the strongest it’s ever been, even though I can’t see it and have some work to keep doing, I can FEEL it. When the weather gets cold and my back feels a little stiff- it isn’t debilitating. If I sleep wonky and need extra PT stretches, my core stabilizes me better than before. I feel challenged and excited to have found friends and found my way back to regaining my strength. If you’re considering joining and are nervous from old injuries, please join. I can’t rave enough about how accommodating Ida’s classes have been to help me learn to trust my body again!

Completely intimidated by the gym, ashamed of repeatedly starting over, and terrified of being judged…Kris and her AMAZING team have built such a caring and supportive community at Sessions that has helped me to thrive and work towards my goals! Sessions is central to the steps I’ve taken to extend my health span.

In the past two years, I have been diagnosed with cancer and was at my heaviest weight ever. My job was my life.

I took the key decision to get in balance.

I have joined every 12 week transformation since then. The nutrition advice, the instructors and the community is practical and results driven without feeling cult like or extreme. They meet you where you are.

The variety of classes, the locations, and the schedules make it possible for you to fit in the work.

I am so happy Kris opened the Norwich location, which allowed me to join the 5 am crew. I had been doing the online program through the covid period and was looking to push myself. I am one of the older women in the class, but everyone in the group always has encouraging words and makes me feel so strong. I have make new friends and truly feel blessed to have these people in my life. Ida is a great instructor and we enjoy many laughs and I have been know to have my own favorite song. Lol

Sessions is one of the best things to happen to Norwich & the community but also to me.

The overall approach and vibe of Sessions is friendly, but also focused. The coaches all push you to do your best but respect limitations. They are there to push the boundaries and get out of your comfort zone.

The transformation program is TRULY what I needed to kick start a new lifestyle. It focused me to redefine my relationship with food and exercise. You need to try it!

In just over a year, Sessions has become a favorite “happy place” of mine. Why you ask? Because there’s not a single time I leave a Sessions class that I don’t feel better than when I went in. Always a smiling face, a positive vibe from a gym friend (I’ve made SO MANY!) or encouragement from a coach (they’re all so amazing: Kris, Ida, Erica, Tayler, Jamie, Rebeka, Michelle, etc…all make working out fun!). Oh, and it’s amazingly clean, the showers are wonderful (even Dyson hairdryers!) Last year during the nutrition challenge, I lost over 20lbs, while gaining muscle, and confidence. This space is amazing. It’s got something for everyone, spin classes, strength training classes, yoga classes, even barre! The facility is very clean, and the bathroom / locker room area is TO DIE FOR…especially the showers…Everyone is so friendly, from the instructors to the people you’re working out next to. Where do I even start????? I joined Sessions studio as a client 2 years ago. I quickly fell in love with the welcoming and supportive atmosphere and all the incredible classes and instructors. What started as 1 or 2 classes a week changed into classes 5-6 days a week and I loved not only the changes I saw with myself but loved seeing the changes in other clients and their journeys. Fitness started to really become a priority with me and with some encouragement from Kris I got certified to teach dance fitness and now am certified as a group fitness instructor. The best, most supportive community there could be. All instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful, and will provide any modifications you require. I am so thankful for this awesome fitness studio. I live out of town but come to Norwich regularly to visit family. I love having the option to take community classes at a discount price. The studio is clean, relaxing and the yoga teachers are great. So awesome to have this studio in Norwich! Highly recommend!

Get Bent is an amazing place. Years ago I took a Power Yoga class at there old location. Today I pre-paid for a year and took a Spin Class at their new location. Awesome facility and a great environment. What I liked about the spin class most vs doing cardio at the gym was it was not 110 degrees like most gyms. Everything was neat and clean, can't wait to do the actual Yoga

First class at Get Bent with Tracy this morning, loved everything about the place and class. Great studio, soft lighting, acoustics are perfect, vibe is so calming. This is truly a hidden gem in Norwich, Ct.
Tonight, I drop in for a community yoga class that was lead by Lynn. , and I was pleasantly surprised..

As someone who has suffered from severe anxiety and depression most of my life, I've had so many people suggest Yoga to me, but I kept putting it off in fear of trying something new. After years and years of therapy and medication not working, I knew I had to find a healthier alternative and thought I'd finally try Yoga. 2 months ago I had my first class at Gent Bent in Norwich, walked out a new woman, and have been going 2/3 times a week. It's not only spiritually enlightening but I feel healthier, in better shape, and have been panic attack free for the last 2 months.
I'm so glad I chose Gent Bent as my first studio experience. Everyone is so welcoming, informative, helpful, and regardless of what skill level you are, you will fit in. Great teachers, clean space, and affordable rates. My only suggestion would be to have an early afternoon class so I can go more often. ;)

Many weekly scheduled classes with a great mix of teachers and participants. I started in March 2017, with narrow purpose. Growth since then. Special events, Friday activities vary. Now a monthly Gentlemen class focusing on certain challenges. First one was great! About 10 of us, including two women.
