I love the NYA fitness center! I currently live in another state but come to the NYA whenever I visit my family. The fitness center has everything I want in a gym, including free weights and strength and cardio machines. My favorite part is the training room with the black floor - it has everything I want for practicing calisthenics skills like pull-ups and handstands. There are monkey bars, ropes, plenty of floor space and space against the wall, and extra items I use like yoga blocks and resistance bands. There's always plenty of room when I work out. My other gym at home is missing a lot of these things, so it's always great whenever I get to visit the NYA! I know management is changing soon, so I just wanted to say how much I love the training room and I hope to see the overall setup stay similar to the way it is now :) the staff is always friendly and helpful too!

Was there for an event. Nice facility and would rate it higher, but - Saturday the bathroom was kept immaculately clean, Sunday was atrocious and disgraceful. Heard that someone changed their baby on the floor. I never saw a changing station, but I wasn't looking for one. Family bathroom was either always in use (really???) or locked. Parking challenges due to other events and reserved parking. Electrical issues throughout the weekend... my guess is that the issue was poor communication between the facility and the event organizers. If you are renting the space, make sure these are addressed.

Had my sons 13th birthday party here. Staff was great, facilities were clean, kids had a blast, and I even got a follow up afterwards from management to make sure it went smooth. I highly recommend!

Great place to hold a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Competition. The only problem is the hard wood floors. Not the best, preferably terf or a softer material for rolling would be great. Or if Gaman could provide open mats that'd be great.

The Newtown Youth Academy Is Awesome! I used to always come here for my birthday parties, and basketball practice and it was awesome! The place is very good quality, and is big. Definitely worth going to! Have a great day!

There are several basketball courts and a nice Gym. The Personal Trainers are nice and so is the rest of the staff. Memberships vary from Student to Family. They also offer several camps for young kids and teens. We love going to the NYA!!! ❤️

No dividers for basketball game and the position of the fan bleachers were horrible, they actually acted as a partial divider between courts...smh. Parking was great and easy to find. All in all kind of ok'ish. Hopefully won't schedule another tournament at NYA.

My son has a lot of sporting practices here. Staff is very friendly. Facility is extremely clean all of the time. We've also come here for birthday parties and the staff that works with the kids are very professional but fun for the kids all at the same time. Love this place!!

Top notch municipal fitness facility. A little pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for. Our pickup soccer group has been playing there for years now and I haven’t seen a nicer indoor pitch yet.

Excellent exercise room. Enough weights and machines for any fitness level. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Classes have wonderful instructors. Try the spinning class if you want a great workout. Glad NYA is close to home.
