I’ve been meaning to post this review for awhile. I’ve been a member at this gym since last year and I love it here. I have the black card but this is the only location I will go to . I love that it’s spaced out nicely and the machines are not crammed together and the free weights have more than enough room where you don’t feel like you’re working out in a corner. Everyone is always so nice and the front staff always take their time to say hi & bye. The gym is clean and I always see someone who works here cleaning!

Awful location and terrible management staff. The blondes up front are always on their phones, braiding each others hair or have their noses in the computer. Pretty sure one is a manager who can’t be bothered to welcome or say bye to anyone leaving. Her attitude sucks. The rest of the younger staff are at least friendly. Do not recommend PF Bristol.

What they advertise is nothing than a scam‼️You become a member and then they charge your bank account with fees that were never discussed. You have no real knowledge of what you will be getting charged.

The charges were not discussed entirely. You don’t actually know what you’re going to be charged until after you become a member. I did contact them directly! I spoke to someone in person, which in the end resolved nothing because they continue to charge me!! RIDICULOUS

The place was very clean and the machines are newer. I have not been since before Covid and was nervous about going back. I had a great work out on newer machines and was very comfortable. The gym was crowded but I didn’t have to wait long to use a machine. Very enjoyable!

It’s a decent gym for the price. You definitely get what you pay for in terms of lack of variety and machine availability. The glutes section has great machines but only 1 of each machine. 2 of each on hip abductors at least, still not really enough for how crowded this place can get. I just wish this gym was a little bigger and had some duplicates of the more popular machines. I don’t even use the stairmaster but only 2 working is crazy given how popular that is. Staff is also mid at best, again getting what you pay for.

Due to the vast sellection of well spaced equipement, it is easy to complete your workout goals in a timely manner. If I could give it a zero, I would. My hours changed at work almost right after I signed up. I called the store and asked them to cancel my membership and explained why. The young girl I spoke to was very nasty and said they would continue to bill me until I came in to cancel in person. Was I not clear the first time? My mistake was thinking they had changed. I was told that I signed a contract?? and I'm being taken to collections?? seriously? I explained the situation to my bank, they have taken care of it and notified Planet fitness.

Planet fitness is a great gym, I can go there and focus on myself/ my work out! Unlike other gyms where it feels like a club scene... My ONLY issue with planet fitness is their monthly charges, fees and or cancellation penalties. Like if a individual no longer is utilizing the membership you shouldn't be penalized for it!

Though bozos knot up the handles for the cables and you get the idiots who put 10 plates on the leg press machine and leave it.

*Two water fountains: the one that works doesn't have a water bottle spout. The other does, but it's been out of service for over a month. There's a light that needs to be replaced and it constantly blinks on and off.

I would recommend some sort of mat hooks to let the stretch mats dry. Currently, Wet stretch mats are stacked on top of each other after cleaning.

I went to join the PF in Bristol CT. The front desk employee asked me to give a bank account number and routing number too. I asked him to charge me through my debit card and then I come back with a void check, but he did NOT allow me to workout.
I mentioned that many gyms are offering one pass in order to use the gym and join later.. but he insisted that I not use the gym unless I provided the account number and routing number. I wasn't asking for a pass, I asked to pay with a debit card and leave it there so I come back with the check later.

I absolutely love this place. try the hydro massage it is one of the best ways to start your day, after a workout , hit the hydro massage and grab a protein bar or water from the fridge . I absolutely recommend this gym, never crowded , so many machines , and all the staff are wonderful and helpful. I’m glad I’m a black card member, so I can also bring a guest to workout with and we can motivate each other!! , not a bad thing to say about this specific Planet Fitness!!!

The gym is relatively clean and you will never have a problem finding a cardio machine. The weight lifting area is extremely small and can only hold maybe 12 people. Unless you are going off hours the weight lifting area is very difficult to get a space. There is an incredible amount of wasted space In this gym and it’s a shame.
