Gym is ok but don't come late spring early fall. Too cheap to run the AC, leaves the gym temp ridiculously hot. Two small doors open to try and cool the whole place. Treadmills and stair stepper broken for over a month with no sign of repair.

Love this gym , honestly can’t complain about anything but just an observation… i understand is “normal “ to record in most gyms for “social media people “. But I notice a lot of the people that goes to this gym have like a mini video studio that gets in the way for other people like me that just want to use the machines do some sets and move on .. a phone recording from some angles is ok .. but now I see to many tripos stands around , including pictures and video in the locker room. So be ready and said “cheeese “ to the cameras 😀

This gym far exceeds gyms like The Edge or any of those other big commercial gyms. It’s not the most luxurious place but in my opinion a gym isn’t meant to be luxurious. I love how it’s big enough where you don’t feel suffocated by all the people and I never have to fight to use equipment. Also offers some pretty unique machines that you don’t see at other gyms. I’ll be sad the day I leave but until then I’ll continue to enjoy it!!

Editing per the gym’s comment to add that this is a great gym, and I’ve been a member for several years. My only complaint is that the AC never gets turned on until enough members have complained about it. Not only is uncomfortable for members, but i can’t help but feel bad for the employees that have to sit in the heat like that all day. Especially when temperatures outside are 90 degrees.

Great atmosphere, staff and a welcoming community. This gym has a variety of equipment. You will never find yourself waiting in line for a machine. There are 4 squat racks, a turf, plenty of cables and plate loaded machines. There is even a posing room!

Since I am only visiting Bristol temporarily, I called Powerhouse Gym and Esporta Fitness to see which would give the more competitive rate for the short time I'm here. For a 1-month membership, Powerhouse Gym said it would cost $50 and Esporta Fitness said it would cost $30. Of course, I went to Esporta Fitness to sign up because it was cheaper. However, in-person they then told me it would actually cost me $80. I asked them why they told me $30 on the phone, and they said "oh well every guest pays a $50 annual fee." So, after being lied to by Esporta Fitness, I went to Powerhouse Gym. They gave me the exact price that they stated on the phone, which was cheaper than Esporta Fitness.

All that being said, why go to a gym that will mislead about something as simple and important as cost? If you are in Bristol, sign up for Powerhouse Gym! They are both more honest and better priced.

Ask yourself... why does a gym need to make it more difficult to leave a contract than everything else, including cell phones.

I previously had a membership at Club Fitness... the staff changed out regularly and the equipment was deteriorating quickly. Well... I had to relocate so I was able to end my relationship with the gym. Recently, I moved back and in my quest to find a gym, I went back to see how it changed since the pandemic... after all, I had been gone for over 2 years. I signed up for a guest pass to try it out... however, when greeted at the gym I was questioned about my prior membership which I confirmed and was told that I could only have 1 day to try it out (seriously?). The gym had been changed... multiple years had passed and I was treated like I was a nuisance and interrogated... over a gym membership?!?! Once I mentioned that my insurance would be paying my membership fee he immediately changed course to resell me a membership and printed out the paperwork... this all occurred within 5 minutes at the front desk while I had to dodge others that were coming in and leaving. I stopped him and said that I wasn't jumping into another contract without checking it out first... he was really put off and changed his demeanor once again. This time he was like fine... sign in but only for today.

After spending the last several days checking out the Edge Fitness... I have to say... everything about Club Fitness felt wrong... desperate... hostile... rude... just wrong.

Needless to say... I thanked him and decided to leave without... he decided to offer a few rude comments... and I followed up with that I would head over to the Edge Fitness and join there... he continued the comments as I walked out the door.

So much happier that I DID NOT go back to Club Fitness!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, EFFORTS, OR MONEY ON CLUB FITNESS IN BRISTOL!! Go across town to the Edge Fitness... happier staff, clients, much bigger, brighter, more... easier parking.

I am a former gym member there. The general manager is very understanding and trys his best to accommodate everyone as best he can. The classes are great and I love the instructors there. They are quick to make you feel welcome and apart of their class. The front desk always gives a heads up on when classes are cancled, which usually happens due to weather and only happened 4-5 times while I was a member. The equipment is in decent shape and the other members there are all nice. It is a great place for those who don't want all the unnecessary fancy gym equipment and an environment where everyone knows your name and are very friendly and non-judgmental as some gyms are. The only thing I would change is a new ac needs to be installed.

horrible manager, favors people who have been at the gym for a while, trainers are rude and mock customers.. specifically Ryan, he has made fun of a club member because of his appearance and I called him out on it. Of course, I got into trouble for this by the manager Jon... Jon has also called me a cancer in his gym, said I didn't put my weights back and accused me of things I never did, very unprofessional, I also believe Jon is responsible for my car windows being smashed and home windows a day after he contacted me and told me I can no longer be a member of the gym. He's accused me of all these things yet his employees would agree that I have never done anything like that. The gym is small, crowded, smells, looks like its about to break down. do yourself a favor and don't sign up with these degenerates.

Great little gym. Good staff. Nice free weights and all sorts of machines. Visiting from California and just needed a couple of days pass and the gladly hooked it up. If you forgot your pre-workout shake, no worries, they make em here for $2. Forgot your Protein, no worries, they got you for $6. All high quality stuff. I absolutely love this gym. They have just about everything... I'm coming from a other gym, that I started with, that is a great beginner gym, but can no longer help me with my needs.... I knew from my first day that I'd be calling this gym my second home. And the assistant manager is Awesome. She is so helpful and so nice. I recommend anyone at any fitness level to get the seven day pass and give this gym a try. If you have a little one, they get a seven day pass too for daycare, while you work out. You got nothing to lose..

It's a basic gym. Could use some upgrade!!! ie-larger sauna(cramped and uncomfortable WEIRD, when a stranger walks in, room for 2 max), access to a swimming pool(like when it used to be Gold Gym), showers(most of them don't work properly), Equipment checks & repairs(some of the machines have been in need of calibrating and or repairs. I know this because I have already reported the issue to the staff and it has been in the same condition for a very long time. Maybe weeks to 3 months. And still haven't been fixed), sanitizing supplies(need more dispensers throughout the gym, alot of times running out and have to let someone know, the distance back and forth to the equipment to clean after workout...so, I've seen many people after their sweety stinky routine on the machines don't even bother to clean it because they don't want to waste time getting to the sanitizing stations) But like I said "BASIC" Could use some improvements.

Very nice place! I used the free guest pass to take a look. Very nice place! They have many different machines and you absolutely can find one as you want. The locker room is so so but it's better than others I just tried one week ago. They also have a very nice sauna room, it's very helpful for recovering your tired muscle.

This gym is horrible. The locker rooms are always filthy, there is almost always no soap, or paper towels, and does not make you feel hygiene is paid much attention to! So much salt and sand that gets into the facility this time of year, I've noticed it's gotten on the equipment which really stinks.

The parking situation is horrible, a friend of mine was towed and the management did nothing to try to resolve it. It seems like this place lives to make money, doesn't care about current members concerns, and really is not a quality place. Spend a little more to get a better place that actually cares about its members!
