Im not sure if its just me having this issue or if anyone else has experienced this, but i paid for the membership online and have been trying to reach a staff member for over a week and it seems like nobody is ever there. During their supposed “staffed hours” nobody is there. How do you go about this?

I have been a member of renegade for a year and this gym is going downhill fast. I can get past the old equipment, but I’m having a hard time with how filthy it is. They are always out of wipes for the equipment and there are rarely paper towels in the women’s restroom. I feel like these are bare minimum things that should be provided at a gym. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have been coming here and temporarily throughout the last two years and signing up for their memberships intermittently. I just signed up for a new one because I will be here long term for awhile and I love their equipment, the atmosphere, GREAT staff, the showers are always clean, and of course, they have a smoothie bar. What is tragically disappointing though, is almost everytime that I have come to this gym, the stairmaster on the right side closest to the treadmills is constantly broken. It does NOT work. It starts up for about 30 seconds and then stops and restarts. I come to the gym for the stairmaster. with only two and one being broken, it makes it difficult to ever find a moment that it's free, especially in the morning prior to work for other avid gym goers. Please do something about this renegade, maybe buy a new one... paying $40 for a membership when I could've signed up for PF that always ensures fixing their equipment, I should've done the latter.

Been here since 2021. I like the equipment and the staff have been very nice, however the staff isn’t always around and the gym can get pretty dirty. Sanitizing wipe stations stay empty for days and locker rooms don’t seem to get cleaned too often. I tried showering several different times here but there was no hot water so the showers were ice cold. 80% of the time, half the treadmills and at least one stair stepper doesn’t work.

Renegade has great equipment. Free weights, bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, bands, classes of all sorts, and more. Tanning! The changing area and restrooms are clean, like Monica clean! The people who work there are amazing as well. Have questions? Just ask them!

My favorite arena to see a concert. There isn't a bad seat in the house even the nosebleeds. The parking situation is also great with multiple garages and outdoor parking lots.

4.5 Great gym. Clean. All the machines work and are new. My only issue is the scanner on the front door is incredibly finicky. I know I'm not the only one who had issues with it, because I have waited outside with 1-2 other members trying to get in.

Great place to work out, I've looked for a place for quite a while since moving to Connecticut. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable they get to know you and find out if you have limitations before just throwing you on a machine, and for a man in my mid-50s with bad discs in his lower back and I haven't been to a real gym since my mid-20s that I thought was very nice the place is always being cleaned and the price in my opinion is great.

Renegade was never the best with customer service, but they were the closest gym to me. I was a member for 5 years and they increased price to $30. I never signed anything new, been out of contract. This was the jab I needed to cancel my membership. Wish your gym the best.

Only complaint is the size of the place, but they have a lot of equipment tightly packed in it and a good variety. Price is a little expensive for what you get, but compared to the surrounding gyms prices it's not bad.

Horrible record keeping. Annual renewals without notification, AFTER cancelling years prior. Especially with this gym read the fine print. Credit issues because of it...and it took the fifth time I came in to tell me they’d been charging me for five extra years. Don’t even touch the place.

I'm out of contact but still pay month to month. If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. They want you to send a letter which costs $3 an extra cost they dont tell you about, even if it's only $3 it's a $3 fee they don't tell you about. They say I have to send a letter because it was in the contract I signed, but I am now out of that contract and not legally obligated to follow that. Its 2019, stop being the stereotypical contract gym that make their members jump through hoops. It should be as simple as a walk in cancelation or a phone call. Not a letter that takes a week and I'll still get billed for that month even though i cant go. Really ridiculous. Thanks for putting me in auto pay and not being transparent and honest gym. If you actually changed that policy the reviews probably would be better and people would actually recommend your gym, instead you guys rather be the stereotypical contract gym. Thanks for taking my money for 6 months.

seriously guys - if you're that hard up that you need to create DOZENS OF FAKE accounts to "review" your clubs and rave about the manager it says SO MUCH about your (complete lack of) credibility and integrity (you may want to look those terms up!!)

By far the best gym I have been to! The staff is beyond amazing and helpful. I joined about 2 or 3 years ago and I was signed up by James, which walking out of my car the first thing I said was "I AM NOT GOING TO SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING I AM JUST GOING TO LOOK'' Boy was I shocked walking in! This is a one of a kind facility! I have never been disappointed with any of the equipment, it meets all my fitness needs. I travel a lot and use many different facilities. But this place has Amazing Group fitness classes, the best functional training equipment, they also have every piece of cardio I could ever imagine. A new record 5 for 5. Stopped on the Renegade Norwich location for a quick workout during lunch. Raelyn McDonald, the Manager of the location checked me in. I told here about my 4 for 4 experience while working out at the Renegade locations. She said 5 for 5 it is. She went to get Ana Valdez, the Fitness Manager of Norwich and introduced me. After changing clothes in another clean locker room she took me through an amazing personal training session. LEGS THAT IS. Felt that one for a few days. Stop by!!!!

The gym is small and dark. The ellipticals, even though one has to pay a maintenance fee, are dirty stiff and bumpy. The staff is okay but besides checking in or signing you up to an awful contract, are not really helpful, even to new comers.
But my biggest issue is the people that handle the contracts. They make you pay to cancel, and extend your contract with out your knowledge, so you pay for more. To me, that makes them crooks. I will never ever join this crappy gym again, and to anybody that asks, I'll send them to Planet Fitness!

It's a gym. It's clean and the equipment is OK. Many ellipticals have bumps in their mechanisms. The only stretching area is in a classroom, which is wonderful IF there's no class scheduled when you need to cool down. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Front desk staff are awesome, they are helpful and extremely friendly! The machines are maintained well, maybe couple more squat rack outside the move it area for us to use when it gets busy. Tanning is included. One thing that just really slightly bothers me is the smell in the girls bathroom but overall it's a decent gym!

It's clean, and plenty of equipment. I paid the extra $ for the "Move It" membership, which equals lots of functional equipment and bumper plates! Lots of cardio, and actually from 8am to 3pm (at various times) I've never seen it super busy. The staff is all friendly and helpful.
