This place exists in a time warp. Three pages of recital make-up instructions for little girls? Dress rehearsals on a Friday at 4pm? No dads allowed backstage? What is this, 1955 where none of the moms work? Moms are supposed to stay stage backstage the entire performance instead of watching their children perform after paying for lessons all year? And if you do sneak away to watch, it’s $20 per seat for recitals. Also we’re pressured to pay $25 for performance recordings because we’re not allowed to record with our phones. The dance moves are so lame I wonder what they’re even doing in classes. This place is great if you’re hoping to get your daughter a job as a stripper one day. I danced for 10 years with other companies and have never seen anything like this place.
The only thing good I can say is that the kids think the lessons are “fun” and the lessons themselves are extremely affordable - apparently TOO affordable if they have to nickel and dime their own families to stay in business. Charge a little more and move into the 21st century. Rethink all your recital policies and procedures. This is Connecticut, not rural Ohio.
