I went to an adult class that a friend was teaching. My first time here..my first time in a dance studio ever, in fact. So I wanted to give 3 stars, but realizedaybe some of the stuff I wasn't happy about is normalcy for these establishments. It was only a couple of things, I wasn't sure where to go when I went in, and was needing to ask the lady sitting at the front, but she was talking to a parent about other topics. It didn't really seem to be dance related. But I was never acknowledged. But I thought, maybe she's not there to help, Maybe my class teacher was supposed to direct us where to go. I don't know. Also I didn't like that the bathroom was adjacent to where parents and visitors sit waiting or watching their kids dance. Mainly bc the door is kept wide open, so I walked in and knew everyone and they mama was now listening to me take a tinkle. Lol...it was more a ME problem, I guess. And I'm sure it's for safety reasons for the kids. It was just awkward. Other than that, the place was nice, in decent shape and cleanliness was just fine as well. There are cubbies all around for holding items/clothes and such. There's all sorts of classes for all ages. I had a great time. The parking was crazy, but we arrived around 530pm, which is probably like peak time for dripping off and picking up. There were kids everywhere, I was afraid someone would get hit! But all the patrons there must be used to it and drive pretty safely inside the lot. I hope my friend teaches again, I would gladly come again. But I'll use the bathroom beforehand :)

I love this dance school so much, I started at day 1 when I was just 3 years old. Everyone is so kind, caring, and supportive. I love the teachers SO much I am so glad that I chose RDC!!!❤️❤️❤️

Really did not have good experience with this place. They treat kids differently and never consider Kids’s continued efforts and feeling. My daughter ended up joining another fantastic dance school. The lesson I learned is if you feel uncomfortable about sth, you should try other opportunities immediately and do not wait and hope they will change.

Rockwell Dance Center will immediately welcome you with nothing but open arms. Its faculty works incredibly hard to create an atmosphere in which you will grow and learn as a dancer and person. It is the combination of people and opportunities given to you throughout the year, that make the time spent at the studio worthwhile. Leaving the dancer and family with a second home, it is everything I could have asked for in a dance studio. Coming in as competitive dancer, Rockwell transformed my quality of dance, providing me with better technique, then further- opening my eyes to a new way of thinking about the art. Overall, in my 6 years of being at Rockwell, it was nothing short of a fulfilling experience, leaving me with a lifetime of important life lessons, friends and new outlook on dance.

Nikole Lachioma and the entire faculty at RDC truly make this studio unlike any other. I started dancing with Nikole when I was just 5 years old, and continued training with her for 12 more years after that. Her love for teaching coupled with her knowledge and enthusiasm for the art is more than enough for any dancer to know that they are receiving the top level of training possible, whether they are looking to pursue a professional career or are just taking classes for fun.

Rockwell Dance Center, formerly Performing Arts Center of Connecticut is my daughter's home away from home. Tremendously loving, motivating, inspiring, creative and talented dance teachers mixed with kind, talented loving and hard working students. Can you imagine this hormonious environment? RDC has amazing office staff and management. You couldn't ask for more in a dance studio. They are a family and like a family they are very welcoming. My daughter first me Nikole 8 years ago, hard to believe. She was only 5. Nikole has been a constant in Samantha's life for 8 years. Seeing who my daughter was and who she had yet to become. Nikole is so loved by the dancers and family because she gives her heart and soul to each of student. She looks not at their limitations but at their gifts. In the dance world I have come to learn that is a rarity as well as the most important part of dance training. As the leader of RDC, Rockwell dance center, Nikole's values and gifts will be spread throughout the school to all of the students , teachers and families. My daughter has worked with most of the teachers that are on staff and they all bring something special to their students.
