Clean, and friendly. They are also very helpful when it comes to learning how to use the machine.

I have been a member since 2022. As a Distance runner and Yoga instructor RowHouse is the perfect cardio compliment with strength days incorporated. Plenty of class time options. My favorite part of the studio is coaches that hold me accountable and that are super motivational.

I signed up for Row House before it opened a few years ago and I’m glad I stuck with it! The coaches are energetic, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Every type of class is different while offering a quick, fun, full-body workout. I’m always able to find a class that fits into my busy schedule to rack up those meters!

I've been a member of Rowhouse Monroe for over a year now, and I absolutely love it! It is a workout routine that I can stick to and I love how they have options to keep working out fun. From strength training, to full rows, and even restorative classes. They have options to keep your workout routine exciting and varied. The theme rows (glow rows, karaoke, arcade rows, music style rows, relay) and monthly benchmarks are also something I look forward to. Whether I am trying to improve my 500 meter benchmark or singing along as I work on my form I am certainly never bored.
The coaches here all have their own strengths, style and flair! Providing members with a challenging yet fun workouts that keep everyone motivated and coming back for more.
More than all of that the sense of community makes all the difference. You can absolutely come and go as you wish but the community that the members, coaches, and GM Jason have is one that I am beyond grateful to be apart of. Seriously, having coaches celebrate your achievements and members cheering you on when you hit goals is definitely encouraging.
If you're looking for a great workout in Monroe, CT, look no further!

Is there a lower rating? Classes cancelled, poor availability....and to cap it off, a rip off of an extra month billing when you try to cancel your membership.

I made an appointment for 5:45. Drive 20 minutes to be told I can’t start the class because I didn’t come early. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Definitely turned me away from getting a membership.

I started as a founders member June 2022, not really knowing what I was getting myself into, but knew I needed something to do for ME. I am not a gym person. I found out quickly how amazing the instructor led classes are. And how all the members have this unspoken bond. We push each other and reach our goals with each other's accountability. Thanks to all the coaches, but esp to Jason, the general manager, for somehow making you leave his classes bringing more motivation and positivity to your day. If you haven't tried a class reach out...first class is free!

I was looking for a workout that would be easy on my bad knees and Row House Monroe fit the bill perfectly. What I was not expecting was the level of fitness I achieved in just five months--two dress sizes down, blood pressure meds halved and muscles in my late fifties! I started out taking two classes a week, fell in love with the program and signed up for unlimited classes. I now take five or six classes a week from the excellent coaches who each bring their own spin and humor to the classes. Row house is a great community workout and I am in the best shape of my life; best of all, my knees no longer ache!

The coaches are amazing for motivation, stroke refinement and overall support before, during and after your workout! The strength and interval classes are my favorite, wish they were offered more early morning!

For the record, i was never a gym "class" guy, spin, zoomba, etc. not my thing. When my regular free weights & nautilus gym closed for Covid & never reopened I was curious about Row House (Monroe) so stopped in to see what it looked like. 10 months later I am still hooked. It's a mix of cardio rowing, core work, hand weights, good music & community. The coaches keep it fresh and fun while pushing me beyond what I thought I could do. I'm definitely stronger, fitter, and happier with myself physically than I have been in years. I chose the full membership so I can go 4-5 times a week.

I love Row House! I started in December of 2022 looking for something new and sustainable to add to my routine. I was nervous to try it but I enjoyed it so much I signed up right there. I've brought friends to try it and even got my sister to join with me. I still refer friends to come check out the studio. Jason is such an inspiration and was super welcoming to everyone. Go try it out, I promise you'll have fun.

I have been coming to workouts at Row House Monroe since Nov 2022 (Black shirt pic) and love it. A studio setting with instructor lead classes allow you to come in with no experience rowing and learn the basics, then build on your efforts. Being on your own Erg gives you the freedom to push your own level of workout within the class environment. Rowing is also a low impact exercise for your joints! The community of members at studio is fantastic, with everyone sharing support and motivation with each other. Personally I have seen my endurance and power improve through these workouts which has been reflected in my faster 500m avg split and fastest split time achieved. Gray T-shirt picture is from April 2024.
Give Row House Monroe a try!

WARNING! If you want to try the classes DO NOT listen to their sales pitch; ONLY sign up for the intro month. Like Jess, I was told in store by the employees that I could cancel my subscription anytime. I was talked into adding the "soft opening" membership to my intro month as to lock in that amazing price.

After the intro month proved to not work in my favor, I cancelled my plan. After confirmation of the plan cancellation on June 30th, I was charged July 1st for this month AFTER stating I wanted to cancel.

This was the BS that was sent to me via email:
From the agreement:
Section 2: You may cancel your month-to-month membership at any time with written notice given 30 days in advance.
Section 4: I understand that my membership will continue to renew monthly until I properly cancel, that proper cancellation requires me to provide Row House - Monroe with a 30-day advance written notice of cancellation ...

30-day notice, but yes you can cancel anytime ... um, that is not how it was sold AND the trust I had in the employees ... disappointment x infinity.

MOST COMPANIES HAVE GOTTEN RID OF THESE SCAMS ... NOT ROW HOUSE MONROE.

I love RowHouse !! Its way more than a fun workout, its a community and a team :-) I love that they're always doing something to make the class feel special, whether its a Themed Row, a Benchmark, or hitting a Milestone and getting a shout out in class! The coaches are so personable and they make class a blast. Also, the staff is really easy to communicate with since you can text w/ them, and they're helpful in making sure you notice discounts and events and everything. I hiiighly recommend RowHouse, even for people who don't usually do group fitness classes

This is a great gym- class size is limited and you register/choose your rower in advance via the app. Instructors are very motivating and the classes seem to go by fast when your rowing away. There’s modifications for all fitness levels too.

BEWARE OF SIGN UP.

First off, as a prior rower, I do not recommend. Seems like a soul cycle, you erg for a 45 min class and they keep track of your stats, kinda cool. There was one intro I received on technique upon signing up. In class, I would watch technique for some individuals be poor, and in those classes the individuals were not corrected from what I could see. Technique was not routinely discussed which is VITAL to a machine that can be used so drastically wrong. They play music, the lights dim and brighten, and you erg/ lift some weights etc. not a bad class if the technique was improved.

My issue is with the overall cost (seriously just join a rowing club! The water is way more fun anyway)

I was told in store by an employee that I could cancel my subscription at any time, and that it was a hassle but I could be refunded if it was the day of subscription renewal. I don’t know if she was new and just misspoke, or what, but this was a lie. I was told one thing, and found out another upon trying to cancel.

Left the state, forgot about the subscription.
On my subscription date in April, I realized I was still being charged, and called to cancel. Had to fill out a form, but I did. I would be charged for the next 30 days, but then it would be over. Sure.

This month, I find I’ve been charged AGAIN, for the next 30 days. After asking for a refund for the place I haven’t attended in months, they said
“ "unfortunately he is not going to be able to get this month refunded for you. Although you submitted the cancelation form on April 17th, the charge this month still needed to be drafted according to the cancelation policy" . because they took an extra day to draft the cancellation which is a simple enough form, I’m getting charged another 30 days.

Very disappointed in the cost, the lack of technique, and the lack of humanity. 0/10.

I joined Row House in Monroe months ago. The owner and staff are absolutely amazing. Very accommodating, helpful, and sincere. I never worked out before, so this was an adjustment. However, the best experience and decision. Thanks for all you do for your clients!

After being stagnant during covid it took me a while to find a workout class that motivated me, but I'm so happy that I found Row House! The team and members at Monroe are amazing and both have pushed me to conquer goals I didn't know I had, or even wanted, like rowing the half marathon this past month. Even when I'm out of the state, I find myself searching to see if there's a Row House location I can drop into because I love the classes and vibe that much!

I booked a "first introductory class" this week. I received multiple canned text messages as reminders about the class. The actual day of, I got caught in traffic. I texted saying that I'd arrive at a certain time...the response I received was "that's alright...we will make it work". When I arrived I was 7 minutes off and was told "it's too late". I asked why I was texted "we'll make it work" and not "it's too late". I drove from work in Bridgeport in the rain and traffic to make it to the Row House and I would have appreciated a text stating that it was too late BEFORE I got there. Total waste of time, gas and energy. Very inconsiderate staff. Not a place I'd recommend.
