This was my first impression, and unfortunately, it wasn’t very good. Since it was my first visit, there was no one at the reception, so I had to wait a few minutes for someone to assist me. After that, I was asked to create an account, but there was very little time left before the class started. The staff member kept repeating that there was only a little time remaining, which made me feel rushed. Instead of helping me settle in and allowing me to join the class, I was simply told, “Excuse me, the lesson has already started.”

I understand that rules exist for everyone, but I had hoped for a more welcoming first experience. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

I’ve had nothing but infertility experiences at SoulCycle Westport. The staff are kind, supportive and accommodating. The instructors are AWESOME! I’ve enjoyed every class I’ve been to and am thankful for everyone at Soul

L is the best thing about Soul Cycle. Her energy is unmatched. Her workouts are ruthless and challenging. Her choreography is always on point. She pushes her class to their full potential and always makes you feel welcome. This is my experience off just 1 class with L and what my girlfriend has told me over the years from riding with her. I highly recommend riding with L you will not be disappointed and will see how far your limits can go! MAKE. IT. HAPPEN!

I had a very frustrating experience at this SoulCycle location. I brought my 14-year-old sister—whom I am responsible for caring for while our mother is away—to class with me. According to soulcycle’s policy, riders between 12 and 18 can ride as long as a parent or guardian signs the waiver and accompanies them. I am 32 and 18 years older than my sister and was acting as her guardian but the woman at the front desk rudely insisted that only a parent or legal guardian (a term not specified in the policy) could sign on her behalf.

Even when my mother tried to clarify things over the phone and asked to speak directly to the staff, they refused to engage with her. The front desk attendant was incredibly dismissive and unprofessional throughout the entire exchange.

I also felt that it was offensive to question whether my sister was my child, given that I am old enough that she absolutely could be my child. Families don’t always look one certain way, and I expect better sensitivity from a brand like SoulCycle. This experience really undermined the inclusive environment SoulCycle claims to foster.

I’ve been to other locations that have been much more understanding and courteous. This experience felt needlessly rigid and unpleasant. We left feeling completely unwelcome. If the policy is that only a LEGAL guardian can go to a class with a minor, that should be made clear in the policy. We wouldn’t have bothered showing up in the first place if that was spelled out in the policy and as a loyal SoulCycle customer, I’m extremely disappointed. Enforcing vague rules with attitude is not good customer service. My sister was looking forward to the class—it’s a shame she had to witness such hostility instead.

I've been an avid SoulCycler for years and used to work front desk opening the front desk studio in Newport Beach. I have a firm grasp on the studio rules. My partner and I decided to bring my sister-in-law for her first class, we called ahead to reserve the extra bike.

Upon entry the studio manager Lauren was extremely standoffish and rude. Lauren will be the reason I will not be coming back to this studio because of her horrible
customer service and inability to articulate an explanation for not permitting my sister-in-law to the studio.

Lauren was more focused on her computer, gave me the wrong size shoes and completely lost sight of COMMUNITY/what SoulCycle stands for. I urge this studio to treat loyal customers better. There was no reason for her demeanor and dismissive energy.

SCWP isn’t just a spin class! It’s a destination, it’s a community! As they say, all SOUL’s are WELCOME! It’s a place to sweat to clear your head, enjoy the music and meet people who are as dedicated to staying fit as you are. This isn’t a competition (though you can compete against yourself, try harder next time..). It’s a journey! Buy a ticket, take a ride. You may find your go to place right here at SOUL.

Great experience as a first timer at SoulCycle in Westport, CT. The instructor, Alejandra ☆ was welcoming and motivating -and the entire staff was well organized from start to finish. The more experienced participants set a good example to follow. I'm a newbie and hope to improve conditioning ♡. The common areas are super spotless. I look forward to continuing a fitness journey as a great activity during winter. Many thanks.

Horrible customer service to say the least. I showed and felt completely unwelcome all for arriving 30 seconds late to a class! I drove over an hour and a half from Short Hill, NJ where there is a much more professional SoulCycle studio to check out Westport’s and was completely disappointed by my experience. I will not be returning. Anyways, the Hoboken studio is amazing! Can’t wait for my outdoor class there this week!
