I was a member of Super Future Fitness for about four years. I stayed because it was convenient and I loved the people I met in the mornings — the 5 AM crew was honestly the best part of being there. But over time, the gym itself went downhill, and when I finally moved and found a cleaner, better-run gym for the same price, I was relieved to leave.

When I first joined, I was excited — it had potential. But the quality and care have declined over the years.
1. As an early-morning member, I often noticed the parking lot lights not working. They’d eventually get fixed, but never urgently — even though it’s dark and unsafe, especially for woman staff and member’s
.
2. The women’s locker room is right by the entrance — you can easily see in when you walk by — while the men’s locker room is bigger and much more private.
3. There’s so much unused space. The daycare sits empty, and the cycle room is filled with equipment but rarely used.
4. The main gym downstairs constantly has buckets catching leaks from the ceiling, and when it’s humid, there’s zero airflow. Opening the doors doesn’t help much.
5. During the evening rush (around 5 PM), it’s chaotic — tripods and phones everywhere, and staff don’t seem to enforce any gym etiquette. The gym’s social media mainly showcases younger women, which gives off the impression that image matters more than the overall member experience.
6. The new lighting is extremely bright and harsh. For anyone with light sensitivity (like me), it causes headaches and makes it unbearable to use certain machines like the StairMaster — and there are only three decent ones when they actually work.

I truly wish the owners invested more in maintaining the gym and showing appreciation for their long-term members. There are no promotions, perks, or even a simple “thank you for being a member” — just the initial push when you sign up.

I was sad to leave behind the familiar faces and morning crew I’d come to enjoy, but I’m happy to have found a new gym that’s cleaner, safer, and genuinely values its members.

Such an amazing gym! The nice front desk staff can make a pre workout or protein shake. There is pre workout, protein powder, drinks, bars, etc for purchase. They have a free room you can use when classes aren't in use. The gym is downstairs and well equip with free weights. I like to use the sauna, red light therapy, and/or sunboard after my workout. I highly recommend this gym if you're in the area or just want to get a day pass!!

Gym's perfectly adequate. I just want to show up, work out, and go home and it has everything you need. Despite this, had a few run ins with some strange characters here and there. Definitely a few folks who think their workout is somehow much more important than yours and aren't afraid to impose on that. There is some lacking implicit equipment courtesy, so could use some redundancy on popular pieces. I try not to use something for more than 5 sets or so when there's only one of it on the floor. Not everyone seems to share that sentiment. Not uncommon to have people on a piece of strength equipment for 15-30 min, and not just power racks, which is more understandable .

I'd go back and join again no problem if I lived in the area again.

Don't fear the reviews. Cancellation process might be somewhat inconvenient, but it's really not rocket science to follow their process. I've been a member two separate times and I had no problem ending my membership when I moved on both ocassions.

Super Future Fitness is the worst gym to workout at. First found out about this gym because I won the 98 days of summer beach bags with I98.3. Became a member in 2019 but stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Purchased a new membership on October 4th, 2022 and been here for over a year and dislike it a lot. There were issues with the showers where I receive cold water and it never gets fixed. The front desk staff are very helpful with any questions you may have and the shakes are super good! A good variety of equipment to get on with your workout. I would not recommend this gym at all! Never coming back.

This is hands down the best gym in the area. The staff are super kind and they always make me feel welcome, the facility is extremely clean, and the variety of equipment is unreal. I had always too intimidated to go to this gym because I wasn’t sure if it would be a welcoming place.I am SO pleased to report that I was wrong. People of all walks of life seem to attend this gym- there is no bullying here, just people interested in bettering themselves putting in the work.

UPDATE:
I’ve been going here for a little over a year now, and the only issue I had was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. When I voiced my concern, I found they had replaced the curtains in the showers by the time I visited for my next workout. It’s nice to know reviews are actually taken seriously. If you want a great workout at a place that truly cares for its members, GO HERE. I love the variety of equipment and they’re always adding something new. It’s the best gym in the area.

UPDATE:
The process to cancel here is ridiculous. I'd find a different gym that doesn't try to suck the life out of you by making the process incredibly difficult. I called and told them I had moved- to which I was told I needed to come to the gym and pick up a cancellation form. Get this- you can't just go to the gym and fill it out, you have to physically mail the form that they could have taken from you easily at the front desk. It's easier to cancel with a big box gym, or a small gym with more respect. If you're in CT I'd recommend Plainville Strength and Wellness, the staff is incredible, and after losing my car in an accident they canceled my membership for me through a simple email and phone call (plus, it's a much cleaner gym with much better hours). Now I've got a $350+ bill in collections because of their outdated cancellation policy. Listen to the myraid of reviews with the same feedback- go to a different gym and save yourself the headache. I loved this place, but the cancellation policy is garbage, and there are much cleaner more respectable small gyms across CT. After being loyal to this place for years, they screwed me over. If I could give negative stars I would.

My wife & I have been going there for 2 months. The staff is wonderful. The place is very clean. Every time we go there the staff is cleaning and vacuuming. The equipment is well maintained. We take a chair yoga class once a week, the instructor is excellent. The price is excellent also.

Do not join this gym unless you intend on never cancelling! I moved out of state and they would not allow me to cancel unless I paid a bogus $100 cancellation fee which was not stated in my contract. I have spoken to multiple people about cancelling and kept getting told they’d look into it. 1 month before my contract ends and I’m sent to a collection agency for late fees totaling $371! !! Can’t seem to get a hold of anyone helpful.

Super future fitness is probably the nicest facility I have been to with a plethora of machinery and a warm welcoming environment. It is a perfect place to escape and focus on whatever tangible journey/goal somebody is going for. Since I've started a couple months back Super Future has been the perfect place to get myself into a more fit state. The staff is always attentive and kind towards everyone no matter who is at the front desk and I love that protein shakes are available there as well, it makes it easy to get food in when your schedule is tight. The entryway into the gym is what gets me excited and into the right mindset whether I'm with friends or by myself it feels like stepping into a more focused and accepting world. All in all Super Future is a fantastic place to workout and I couldn't be happier with my time spent here!

Friendly staff, great facilities and amazing value! They are stocked with top notch equipment (Eleiko bumper plates, high quality power bars, specialty bars, Rogue competition bench rack) and are certainly powerlifter/weightlifter friendly. One downside is that they do not allow powdered chalk, however liquid chalk is no problem!

I love this gym. It's got the best equipment and the friendliest staff. There are beginners there, the strongest people I've ever seen in my whole life, and everyone else in between......It's a great vibe for all fitness levels. I can't say enough good things. I'm a better person because of this place. My favorite thing about the gym though, is seeing the owner workout with his son on a daily basis. I wish I could give the gym a 5 star review, as I really enjoyed it while I was in CT. I moved out of state, wrote my letter of cancellation promptly, after asking multiple times by email and phone how to cancel. Even though I cancelled before my next months payment and received an email that they received my letter, I am being harassed daily by collections for my monthly fee and late fee. Collections is insisting that my letter was not received (even though I have proof of it). For a gym in 2022, that is very capable of emailing harassments, it is ridiculous that they require snail mail for cancellations.

Give Spin a chance. This is a long review but it’s brutally honest. I have been working on my mental health journey and part of that process was taking care of me physically as well. My daughter kept insisting I attend a spin class with her. I said ABSOLUTELY NOT!! I had a horrible experience with it before and I was heck bent and determined not to go.! She was relentless and I finally caved and went to a class with her. I tried to make excuses, even on my way to class, because I was scared and didn’t want a certain part of my body to be sore😬. Emma was the instructor and she was kind, helpful, understanding and supportive. I pushed through the class and swore I wasn’t coming back. Well, 2 1/2 months later, 20 pounds down and feeling amazing, I LOVE SPIN now. I even bought spin shoes!! I am forever grateful for my daughter dragging me there and if it wasn’t for Emma and my fellow supportive spinners, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I have made new friends, my confidence is boosted and my energy levels are higher. Thank you Emma and SFF for being a huge part of my health journey. When I lived in the area, I loved this gym. It fit with my schedule at the time, and I was able to walk to it. I have since moved, and for awhile was still going when I could despite now living over an hour away. Unfortunately I did have to cancel both my personal training and general membership due to not being able to afford it at this time, and sent two certified letters. In March. Today I received an email about a past due notification (mind you, what I've yet to mention is that I had been charged twice for the 127 since the 30 days had past after getting the confirmation via registered mail that the letter had reached its recipient) for 147 for a service that was canceled. The email states to reach out to billing department, however each time I've called the billing department for multiple issues with this, they've informed me that they don't work with the billing for Launch - makes sense to me as Launch is separate from the gym itself. Hopefully this review can cast some light onto whomever can at the very least provide the correct number for billing for Launch to avoid any further confusion. We're it not for this recurring issue, I'd consider rejoining when I'm able to move back out that way.

Edited to add, 1 week to the day later: Despite being told somebody would reach out to me "ASAP" after confirming my contact information was up to date, I have yet to hear from anyone. At all. Each time I call the facility and ask if somebody from Launch is available to speak, I've been given either an email that when I send from my end goes unaddressed (this is now month 3 of trying to get in touch with someone from launch) and today upon receiving yet another past due notice from something I canceled, I was given a direct number to call for the founder of Launch- and upon calling, was met with what can only be described as what you would hear if you tried to call a fax machine. I will now be contacting the state attorney for further assistance as I have done everything by the book with zero results. Incredibly disappointed.

When I came in this morning I was greeted by Miss autumn with a happy positive attitude. That just made my workout so much better! I've trained and competed at gyms all over the country from family friendly ones like anytime fitness to some of the most hardcore gyms in the country like the Norse Compound. Super future fitness is home to all levels and provides the equipment and atmosphere that fits any type of lifter from whatever skill level. It's unique in the vast array of members and has a place for anyone. From the friendliness of the staff to the supportive nature of the members, I'd recommend this gym to anyone.

Probably the best gym I’ve visited in CT. I had a killer workout today. They had tons of machines, squats racks, and powerlifting equipment. Better than the gym are the members and staff. This gym continues to do nothing to enforce wearing masks at the gym. They allow people in the gym without masks on and they allow people to work out in the gym with their masks off. Staff do not walk the gym and have never walked the gym to enforce mask usage since the gym reopened. Today I asked the desk staff if there was still a mask mandate at the gym and he said there was until May 19th. It is not May 19th yet. When I told him there were two men downstairs working out without a mask in sight he said the gym has no recourse and they are being sued for enforcing the mask mandate previously. He said it was a “catch-22”. That makes absolutely no sense. As a long time member I am disappointed in the way they have handled their gym being open during Covid.

My wife was a member for at least 4 years; she went because she loved the yoga instructor there. When covid hit, she stopped going and cancelled her membership. The management required written communication, so she took the time to write a letter and sent it by registered mail. Despite this, about 8 months after not visiting, we received a message of a $42.49 fee which we didn't pay. Numerous calls to the front desk go nowhere. Emails to the manager don't get a response. Now she has bill collectors calling. Needless to say we will not visit this business again, nor pay this bill.

I love going to this gym. I’ve been going for just over 2 years. Everyone has always been helpful if I had a question. I see some people on here complaining about the cancellation policy but every gym I’ve gone to does the same thing. After you sign, it will take 30 days, so yes you get charged one more time but you also still get to work out in that time, so stop complaining, the rules were told to you when you signed. It’s very clean there, I always see people cleaning. I gave a 4 instead of 5 because I’m sad they don’t have kick boxing anymore.

Pretty nice gym with cheap prices. This gym is like nothing in the area! Their facilities are updated, clean, and numerous and they offer a variety of classes. The memberships are inexpensive and offer much more than what you pay, saying the least, it's a great deal. Staff is always friendly and the owners were very accommodating when I went to them with questions and concerns! Best gym I've ever been to, definitely look them up!

I have been going to SFF for a few months and I have not been disappointed. Plenty of equipment and a great atmosphere. Free weights and machines, shake bar, showers, saunas, tanning, circuit room, pretty much anything anyone would need. Not to mention they are always renovating and updating. Located right off route 6 its also easy to find. Reccomend this to anyone who is serious about their health.

I've been a member of of SFF for about 4 years and zero complaints! Two squat racks as well as deadlifting pads, plenty of cable machines as well as free weights. Friendly staff willing to give advice on lifting and nutrition. Would definitely recommend!

I joined super future fitness about 8 months ago. The gym is without a doubt one of the best gyms I've ever been in. The hands on training is great and they really concentrate on helping you transform your body. The free weights section is the best and they have more than enough machines there to transform your body in know time if you put in the work. When I first joined I noticed right away how pleasant the staff was.They were
friendly and very willing to help. The owners John and his wife Jean are simply the best. If you're looking for a gym with everything in it and for the best results possible, this is definitely the gym to join. A Plus in my opinion!

Worst gym ever. Very poorly run. Its located in a dark, dingy, basement. It is filthy, the women bathroom smells, the sinks are normally clogged and the tanning booth does not work. They are money scammers. I signed up for my one free training session which they tried to get out of, I cancelled any further training sessions since I was not impressed with the trainer I was assigned, the manager tried to bully me into staying on with the trainer, I contacted the owner who took weeks to return the call, he was very unprofessional, very full of himself, a real control freak, he charged my credit card for 8 training sessions that I never received and refused to give me the money back. Taking him to small claims. Do not go here.

This gym is horrible. They were double charging my boyfriend for several months and each time he called and emailed to get it straightened out they would feed some lie about why they couldn't help him. That wasn't okay. He called and emailed over and over and eventually got them to cancel his account but it was a big pain.

I froze my account over last summer due to travel and they unfroze it without notifying me. Once I realized, I called and emailed several times saying I'd like to cancel the account. Each time I got some excuse as to why they couldn't help me. They said that they can't cancel via phone or email or even in person. They said that I had to mail a letter into the gym (that also happens to be five minutes from my house) and that it would take 30 days to process, during which time they would charge me again. I knew this was a lie because they had just canceled the account for my boyfriend and all he did was call and email. Eventually I just had to get my bank to block further payments. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I signed up with a trainer (Brenna) and workout wonderful, she’s absolutely amazing pushes and encourage you to do the workouts. She demonstrates what you will be doing & she will correct you on any mistake because she wants you to make sure you’ll do the correctly when you workout on your own. She’s not like any trainer and watches you do them, she does them with you & makes them fun. Very great experience!

Owner and staff are amazing!!! High quality and diverse equipment from machines to free weights to cardio equipment. They really have anything you would need to reach any goal from just losing weight to staying in top athletic shape in the offseason. Not to mention they have other classes provided to keep your workouts fun and different like yoga and spinning. Highly recommend!!!!

There is more then enough equiptment for each muscle category. Not to mention all the additional things that the gym has to offer such as the red light therapy, tanning, classes, babysitting, etc. The staff is always so friendly. Especially Andre and mike. Both of the babysitters are wonderful with my daughters as well. I would highly recommend this gym!

I signed up for thier personal training. The sessions didn't last the whole time. I told the manager. He wasn't much help. I quit the gym. Noone told me I had to cancel both the gym and training. I lost out on alot of money. When I asked if I could make up the 200 dollars worth of sessions I lost out on...I was simply ignored. Please make sure you understand there not so simple policy. It's a shady business in my opinion. The training company whom I've had to deal with has no phone number or address. They wouldn't let me speak to anyone. I wouldn't recommend this gym and esp the training company attached to it. Bewareee

Staff is friendly and they offer a huge variety of workout classes that are included in most memberships. The locker room is nice and clean and even has a sauna in the women's, not sure about the men's. They just got new free weights and kettlebells. There is plenty of equipment, so even when it's busy you can find something to do.

This is a great gym with FANTATSIC tanning equipment. Most gyms that I have been to don't care about their tanning equipment, but Super has top of the line equipment that is well kept and very very clean ! The staff is also great. They are very friendly and I recommend this gym highly.

Joined the gym just for the weekday morning spin class which they just canceled. I felt the price was fair for the fact that I would get 4 spin classes per month out of it, but now I will get nothing out of the gym since they offer no other early morning classes.

It's filthy, they are always canceling babysitting hours and classes. They don't keep up the equipment. Just don't join here, go to Cardio Express or another gym in the area, just DON'T sign a contract here, you will never be able to get out of it.

A decent gym but they are not always consistent with some of the classes which is very frustrating when they cancel it when you show up. The reason I am giving it a one-star review is their HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I brought a friend to use my guest pass and they put her through the ringer before letting her do a yoga class we were excited about. Instead of allowing her to try out the gym (the whole point of the guest pass), they spent 15 minutes trying to get her to sign up on the spot (read: take her money and trap her in a contract, which according to the other reviews on here is no easy thing to cancel) and wouldn't let her in. Anyway, she probably would have gotten a membership there, but after the sketchy, almost bullying way that were trying to get her to sign up on the spot, she is going elsewhere. I can't say I blame her.

My absolute favorite gym. The staff is always courteous and helpful. There's a ton of classes offered, babysitting, a spinning room, tanning, and saunas. The gym is spacious, well cleaned and maintained. A variety of people use this gym so you're bound to find someone who has the same interests whether it be aerial yoga, zumba, bodybuilding or powerlifting. Hands down the best place in the area.

Google made me give it one star to review, I surely wouldn't even have given them that.

NEVER, EVER get a membership here. Getting OUT of this TERRIBLE membership is such a run around. I've sent not one, not two, but THREE certified letters, to include relocation orders for the military and yet these idiots still think it's ok to charge my account. The first one they refused to sign for, the second "may have gotten misplaced" and the third they still are charging my account.
