I have been training with coach Andreas one-on-one since 2014. When I was pregnant a few years ago my doctor cleared me to continue my training, and Andreas and Deb modified my workout accordingly at each stage of my pregnancy. I was able to continue training up to my due date, which made it so much easier to get back into training once the doctor released me after delivery. My strength goals are always a priority here, and my concerns are always considered when designing my workouts.

I have been training with Andreas and Deb for over 10 years now.
Their expertise and professionalism has helped me to build back my strength after multiple surgeries and has allowed me to maintain my fitness for years.
Their support in and out of the gym through stressful life events has helped me to maintain my motivation to take care of myself many times even when I have wanted to give up.
On one particularly FREEZING cold, dark morning, Andreas voice texted me to confirm that I was on my way to the gym. His phone converted my name to “Chad” by mistake.
Andreas: Hey, Chad! Are you on your way?
Me: I don’t know about Chad, but Jenn is in the car driving. Not sure if she is awake yet either though!
From then on, Chad became my inner bodybuilding powerhouse alter-ego! We still laugh about it to this day. When Jenn doesn’t want to workout, CHAD is there!😂

TFW has provided for me a fantastic place to learn about exercise and develop my own ability to care for my own body. As someone who has always struggled to gain weight to balance myself out, I knew weight gain through muscle was essential to make that difference. However, I always struggled doing exercises on my own at the gym. Andreas has provided fantastic instruction and through my sessions with him for the past four months, I have already experienced a noticeable difference in my weight, my muscle and my strength. Every session with Andreas, I receive a balanced workout for different parts of the body and find myself gaining strength in all areas. Andreas understands his clients' capabilities very well and knows what is too much or too little. He will push you to succeed but will always make sure you are safe from any injury or strain. You can tell that this is a guy who loves his work as he is always happy when working with his clients and watching their progress. To anyone looking to learn more about exercise to either gain or lose weight, I highly recommend TFW. They provide one-on-one sessions as well as group sessions. It is a very simple gym that does not overwhelm you when you walk in but has plenty of different weights, pulleys and machines for all different sorts of exercises. Whatever workout goal you have for yourself, TFW can help you to reach it!

Hands down the best gym! Coach Debra & Andreas are phenomenal. Both coaches are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely committed to helping individuals reach their health, wellness, and fitness goals. I've been with TFW Connecticut for just over a year now and I couldn't be happier. Debra and Andreas are incredibly friendly and professional. I often need modifications for a chronic knee issue and Debra has a world of knowledge for different exercises. I can continue to participate in workouts to my full potential and feel as much apart of the group as everyone else while still keeping my knee safe. Not only are Debra and Andreas amazing trainers, but the environment they've created with the support of the other dedicated gym members is what helps to keep me accountable to my goals. Andreas, the owner, is great at what he does, he’s a professional, he takes pride in helping people to feel better, coach them, and help them to achieve their physical and mental goals.
I’ve been battling back pain for years, visited many doctors, who couldn’t help me with their useless suggestions.
Andreas had provided the proper training exercises to alleviate my pain and build the strength back up for my back. He continues to help me get in shape and feel better about myself.

Let me start by saying….I love local and supporting local. For me, it’s always been difficult to find the right fit. I struggle with my fitness because I didn’t know what I should be doing in the gym, what areas to focus on, what machines to use, how often and for how long, what the proper form was. It would then create more doubt in my mind and in myself. I would find myself getting nervous and wanting to leave the gym shortly after getting there or mainly just sticking to the treadmill comfort zone. I really wanted to stay fit and active because it’s so important for your quality of life and in the long term, you only have one body right? So I decided to gravitate towards spin classes and group classes, having that motivation of others around you, similar to a team. I found that was a step in the right direction, but something was still missing. Then I discovered TFW Connecticut in Danbury, I really like the idea of a small local gym that had group classes….but that also incorporates weights. Let me tell you, I am so happy now, but I was so nervous the first day going in and meeting with Andreas the owner for the evaluation, he very much reassured me and encouraged me during my first two weeks attending the group training class. Deb runs the group training class and has been incredible to work with. She has so much knowledge, helps guide on form, modifications and I’m beginning to talk to her about nutrition as well, key piece! There are many times that I want to cancel going to a class or find a reason why not to go…but honestly when I do, I then think about needing to be consistent and the motivation and encouragement I get from not only Deb but the other group members too. Many of them have the same goals as me and probably want to cancel at times, but push themselves to go. Everyone is so nice and it’s an amazing environment and let me tell you, you will SEE and FEEL your consistency pay off.

I've always been "gym-averse" until I walked through the doors of TFW Connecticut. Debra & Andreas are amazing coaches and wonderful people. They are knowledgeable, creative and so motivating! Workouts are always changing, never boring!! The small groups are supportive and non-judgmental. I have grown substantially in my form and strength in this fantastic gym!

TFW is a awesome gym. I retired about two and half years ago and needed a place to keep fit. My body parts were starting to go south and energy levels running on empty.
I passed TFW every day going to work and wonder how the place was. I finally took the step to stop. It only took a walk in to see the highly motivated and passionate coaches Debra and Andreas to know this is the place for me. So take the walk in!

I have been a member of the TFW CONNECTICUT familia for a few years now. Coach Andreas and Coach Debra are very motivating and have pushed me out of my comfort zone. I am incredibly grateful for that. My confidence, eating habits, strength and speed have improved dramatically. I never imagined I would ever be able to deadlift or bench press as much as I can, not to mention enjoy trying to increase my speed for sprints. The environment is amazing. Everyone is very supportive, encouraging and welcoming. Whether you have been there for years or just starting out, you are always greeted with a smile and a high five. I highly recommend you check out TFW Connecticut. You will be happy you did!

This is my first ever review on Google EVER and with good reason because I never felt compelled to write one for any service and/or product. See I just turned 50 and have never really worked out in my life but have attended a local gym last couple of years. Typical workout days would be… walk in and tan walk out. Walk in and watch a movie and walk out. Walk in take a walk for 5 minutes and walk out…. Day in and day out. Something clicked in the mid-summer of 2018 and I knew it was time for serious change in my life. Not wanting to make another investment in a sports car or something that only lasted a little bit I wanted to INVEST IN ME.
Did a quick Google search and found TFW and guess what they are the ONLY local google listing that I found with 10 (5) Star rating… (soon to be 11) knew I was onto something. Called their number and Deb picked up and asked me to come down at talk to Andreas…. So I did. As soon as I walked in I was thrown back to the old movies of Rocky and that music started playing in my head. This place smelled good not like the old gym or a box of smelly used socks. I felt like I had just come home after 50 years. I was introduced to Andreas the owner who has a smile that can warm the coldest of hearts. I explained I have never really worked out and did not know anything…. I said and I quote… “rebuild me in your image”. And you know what it was more than I could have EVER hoped for.
Changes in my life are to many to mention here but in brief…. Better sleeping patterns, better mental stability, better eating habits, better endurance and so on… my body is changing along with my attitude and mind. If I don’t go for just 2 days my body and soul are craving another workout. 5 days a week and 4 months later I AM the changed person I was looking for. No words can explain only massive change in my life on ALL levels.
Andreas and Deb work as a team to effortlessly bring the best out in you in every workout. From old school kettle bells to state-of-the-art technology these dynamic duos are on top of it. They are truly what Rembrandt was to the art world a couple centuries ago…
I would HIGHLY recommend this team if you really and sincerely are ready for true and lasting change in your life… You honestly have nothing to lose and yet everything to gain.

I love these guys! They really know their stuff. Small groups, not like the big impersonal gyms. Everyone here knows each other. I needed to get in shape for a climbing trip and this place was ideal. For me it was One on One training twice a week and training with group classes twice a week. Best shape of my life in short order.

I wanted to write a note to thank the staff at TFW Connecticut for the profound impact you have had on my life. Little did I know when I walked through the doors in September 2014 that a huge transformation was about to take place in me. I have always enjoyed sports and athletics but have struggled with follow through, emotional eating and poor body image. As a working mother of three it has been easy to find excuse after excuse to feed my poor habits. Most gyms I have previously joined have had great gear, classes, etc but have been so big that no one cares if I show up or not. I start off strong and then lose steam. When I was given the diagnosis of Parkinsons disease A feeling of defeat, and almost hopelessness soon took place over my body which I felt was no longer my own. The frustration of the feeling that I would soon slowly lose function over many of the movements I had taken for granted my entire life. A month ago; however, my life took a dramatic change, for the better.
I was introduced to Andreas and Debra at TFW through an ad I had seen on Facebook, and I immediately went in for an initial evaluation. From the minute I walked in the door, I felt comfortable. After explaining my situation, he even gave me a guarantee that with a combination of proper nutrition and exercise I would finally regain control over the disease that I had thought was victor.
With a combination of mental, physical and nutritional coaching I was given the opportunity to reverse my situation. I really felt the sincerity behind Andreas and his genuine want to help me seek the positive in a difficult situation. So far within a month, I have increased my stamina, my tremors have subsided, and my energy level has doubled.
