I really like this location but some of the staff aren’t helpful at all. I just made a complain regarding the cleaning person starting at the us while we work out. Hear me out I am in the section that I thought is for women because it’s attached to the women’s locker room and I’ve never seen a man in here.
I understand doing your job but just gawking at us while we work out isn’t appropriate.
Malik told me unless a group of women come to the front and complain there’s nothing he can do. He also let me know that although this section is directly attached to the women’s locker room it’s not only for women( that surprised me and the ladies)
The point is we all pay to be here treat us right. Listen to use, maybe even investigate a little. Women should feel safe and if we ask for help to feel safe we shouldn’t be met with resistance.
Malik needs to be retrained and the cleaning person needs to be spoken to.

The Edge is the worst place I have ever been, they took my money for a whole one year, even I didn’t use it for more than 8 months, because they claim that they couldn’t cancel my membership, such a stupid policy, if someone don’t want you he can leave anytime, don’t take his money for whole year.

I've only been going here for three months and I actually like this place. However, I'm moving 10 miles up the road and need to switch to a more convenient gym, this is when I realized that their cancellation policy is wildly predatory. Only a few clicks to sign up on their website or their ipads, but if you want to cancel you have to send a registered letter to ABC Fitness or deal with their customer service team via email where they make it as difficult as possible to cancel, it's been two weeks back and forth with them and it still hasn't been sorted. What an absolute pain. I understand it's in the contract I signed (which is what they are counting on I guess) but it's still such a sleazy way to do business. Really disappointed in this place.

I always come in the edge with my mom and I’m never stopped bc she’s my free guest but EVERYTIME there is a lady up front they always stop us and make us go through the sign in process.. and say they can Never find her email we come here almost everyday and never get stopped by any of the men that work at the front desk. What happened to that paper sign in sheet and the QR code? This new process is so much more time consuming and requires the employees to be free but whenever I come in they’re usually in their own world and don’t pay attention to what’s going out bc everyone that come in is there for a sole purpose to work out. Again! It’s only the ladies that work up front who stop my mother and I. I understand that you need to sign in with a guest I js don’t think that this is the most effective way to do it. I also feel like they pick and choose base on the color of ur skin .. but then again that was our experience..

I really like this Edge Fitness location. The staff are friendly, the equipment is great, and the gym overall has a great vibe.

The only thing I’d suggest improving is the men’s locker room. The air very often feels stagnant and has a bad odor. Adding a ceiling fan and improving ventilation along with a few air fresheners would go a long way.

Watch out! Do not recommend this location! In the gym 5 mins and had my weight belt stolen. I set it down behind equipment along a wall that you wouldn’t just happen across and walked to get weights. Belt was gone! Spent 2 hrs watching as I worked out, no show. Work out at your own risk at this location.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my experience at your facility. When I signed up over the phone, I was not informed of the 3-day cancellation policy or any essential membership terms. This lack of transparency felt misleading and unprofessional.

Each time I visit the gym, the front desk staff consistently fail to acknowledge members with even basic greetings. When I’ve tried to ask questions about my membership or signage, I’ve been met with rudeness or completely ignored as staff continue their personal conversations.

What’s more concerning is the atmosphere inside the gym: it feels extremely unwelcoming and intimidating. Many gym-goers monopolize equipment for extended periods, and the staff do nothing to ensure fair use. Additionally, the management team has been rude, dismissive, and entirely unhelpful when approached about any concerns.

Most troubling, however, is the inappropriate behavior occurring in the locker rooms. There is active cruising and sexual activity happening, which is completely unacceptable and makes for an uncomfortable and unsafe environment.

I am appalled by the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and accountability at this gym. I urge your management to address these issues seriously, as they reflect incredibly poorly on your brand and make it an unfit environment for paying members.

I signed up at Edge Fitness after being told it was a membership I could cancel anytime. I only visited a few times during the free trial and then tried to cancel, but the staff never processed my cancellation. Instead, they kept charging me, and after four months I received a notice saying I owe nearly $1,000. The staff misled me about the cancellation policy and have been unhelpful throughout the process. This feels like a scam to steal money. Be very careful and avoid this gym.

I’m extremely disappointed with Edge Fitness. After canceling my membership and following all required procedures, I was still charged without authorization. I contacted them multiple times to resolve the issue, but the staff was unhelpful and unwilling to take responsibility. It feels like they’re intentionally making it difficult to stop charges — which is unacceptable. Be very careful if you decide to sign up, and make sure to get everything in writing. Absolutely packed full of oblivious people all trying to do their own personal circuit training who get an attitude when you try to work in. I don't think I've ever seen a staff member do anything but stand around the front desk. Don't worry about wiping down your machine or racking weights. This is a great gym, unfortunately their contracts are awful and really pigeon hole you. I had a really awful experience cancelling my membership with their finance company Abc Fitness and because of that I’ll never go to this gym again. I would not recommend this gym because of that reason.

It’s easy to sign up with them, but when you want to leave they make it harder! Read the contract because if you don’t you’ll pay the consequences. They’re not transparent, I asked them to sign up for a year and they did for 2 years, just because I had a contract I wasn’t able to leave them until that contract finish… for 2 years by their mistake!!

Call me all day every day five times a day to come back to the gym …..after two years I walk in and try to work out one day for free to see if I’m going to enjoy the experience….. Diverse classes, spacious facility. Clean bathrooms, nice sauna. I do wish the private area could have remained women's only. Otherwise, staff is friendly, trainers are awesome. Love the Strong classes. The group effort and feedback from trainers is great. I enjoy the gym. Oh! I wish the inbody was more easily accessible. I really enjoy the Edge. I could never commit to Planet Fitness but as soon as I enrolled at the Edge over a decade ago, I never stopped going. I love the variety of things there are to do. They also offer yoga, Zumba and other classes. There’s the sauna and the massage chairs as well to top it off along with some tasty shakes. The front staff is also helpful and friendly . I don’t think I’ll ever stop coming.

Disappointing Experience at Edge Club Orange, CT

I want to share a recent experience at the Edge Club in Orange, CT, which was quite disappointing. A member with the highest level of membership visited the gym on February 26, 2025, between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM.

During the visit, she attempted to access a restricted area designated for her membership tier, only to find it locked. When she approached the front desk for assistance, the staff member (whose name we do not know) informed her that she was not allowed entry. Despite explaining that she had been assured at the Fairfield, CT branch that her membership granted her access to this area, the staff member was dismissive. When my wife asked to speak to a manager, the staff member claimed, "I’m the manager here," which was surprising and unhelpful.

This interaction was not only frustrating but also disrespectful, leaving her feeling uncomfortable about returning to the gym. As a result of this incident, she has decided to cancel her membership.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve customer service and ensure that members are treated with respect.

When I first signed up for a trainer I was told by Lauren that I could cancel anytime, as long as it was before the 15th of the month. I called on the 14th of February to temporarily cancel my training sessions because some personal stuff came up. All of a sudden Lauren is now saying that cancellations have to be done 30 days in advance. She never stated that before when I was signing up. Also, if something unexpectedly comes up how can I cancel 30 days in advance? They say things to get you to sign up, and then change the rules after. I never wanted to cancel permanently, just temporarily. However, I no longer want to train at this location after this. I explained I couldn’t pay for an extra month at this time, doing so would put me in a really bad spot financially due to my unexpected situation. Lauren had no compassion. I love my trainer, but due to Lauren’s lack of compassion I will never book with a trainer at this gym again. Outside of this situation I was enjoying being a member.

I was a member here for a while back before 2019 until covid hit and recently returned. This gym is a great place to work on a healthy lifestyle. The gym is exceptionally large with separate areas for most anything you may be looking for. The gym is always clean, equipment well maintained and a friendly staff!

There is a good variety of equipment, but a bit too crowded. Users should be reminded to be mindful of other users by not using two machines at one time or staying in one machine too long using their phones. Inside Ladies restroom stalls have no hooks behind the doors for bags making users putting their bags on the floor which is filthy. Other locations like Danbury has hooks behind doors.

I wanted to try this location cause I heard good things and when I got there, Jason was super rude and kept staring at himself in the mirror and pretending like he was doing something else when I had questions. I’m experiencing the subscription scam first-hand. I haven’t been able to physically go to the gym since November 2023, so at that time I called to cancel my membership and was told I couldn’t cancel until May 21st 2024, and was told by staff that after that date I would freely be able to cancel my membership.

So I call today, May 22nd 2024, and am just now being made aware that there was an “AUTO RENEW” in my contract. Why didn’t they tell me when I called the first time?? So now I have to email some customer service rep and pray they stop robbing me. The staff at Orange CT are literally useless in this situation.

I was planning on resubscribing when I became able to go to the gym again, but now I’m HEAVILY reconsidering. Terrible customer experience. If I keep getting robbed I’m pursing legal action.

Equivalent to the Walmart of gyms. It’s got what you need but people will leave their underwear and socks on the sauna benches to dry, weights on the floor after they are done, use free benches as a place to sit but not workout. The price is right for what you get, sort of, but you need more patience than I can tolerate. After a year going here I’m cautious to recommend the gym to anyone . Tread carefully.

I called Edge to inquire about upgrading my membership this afternoon, 1:05pm to be exact on 3/10/2024 and was answered by Eric without a ring. As soon as I asked how can I go about doing that I was hung up on. Called right back and it took some time for them to answer but allegedly someone else picked up, I asked if it was Eric they said no & I let them know he hung up on me. I was then given a direct answer. I neverrr write reviews, but there are things like this that make you regret having a contract because where is the hospitality? Now I feel that was a sign I should not upgrade because I’ll probably end up with unnecessary fees.

Very disappointing with slower action with their maintenance. Broken machines take a while to get fixed. The sauna for example- 3 consecutive weekends now that it hasn't been working. Many members have complained about this and come to the Orange, CT location for this - since it's one of the locations that have it. Please me more proactive in getting a permanent fix. It's been multiple times this year alone.
