The Pilates Room offers private reformer and group Mat sessions tailored to each individual client's needs.
Come strengthening and lengthening with us! Our goal is to strengthen and stabilize your core, which is the foundation of the body, so that you can move efficiently while improving your posture, flexibility, and mobility.

I had been enjoying this class for quite some time until the owner started bringing her dog into the classroom. The dog will lick everyone, and Christine does not do much to stop it. And when she does stop it, she disrupts the entire flow of the class to reprimand the dog.

A Pilates studio is supposed to be a clean place to enjoy working out. I don’t enjoy getting licked while I am exercising, and to my understanding, some of her other clients feel the same way. This is a sure way to kill a business.

Save your money and go elsewhere.

Menopause hit me like a ton of bricks! After over 15 years of hot flashes... I no longer could recognize myself. I needed something to make me feel young again. I had a friend that suggested Pilates. I found one near me and decided to give it a try. At first I thought....this is kinda easy! A workout lying down! How fun is this! But with every subsequent visit, Christine would find a way to stretch my muscles and make me use my core...no cheating! After a few short months....I started to see my old self slowly come back. I only go once a week....but WOW my body is stronger, and more flexible and I see my curves going back to where they use to be! I no longer cringe when I look at myself in the mirror! If you're a woman looking to establish a healthy love for your body, and a healthy connection with an instructor who is so passionate about her craft - look no further because you have found a GEM. Christine has spent years learning, perfecting and teaching pilates to ensure YOU have the best, most undivided session of pilates you could have. She's the supportive person during your session to make sure this is all about you. I've never felt confident or comfortable to be around someone in a gym, or session. I avoided working out because of fear of judgment or lack of bond with a trainer/instructor.... Once I found her I was booking packages and leaving classes ecstatic. Each class is so different, a challenge of your body and mind yet so attainable! I'm a committed pilates girl now but it's because of the atmosphere and the teacher behind it. It's the whole package. I have been working with Christine in her individual Pilates instruction for over three months now. I had been anxious about starting any workout regimen ever since I developed lower spinal problems. I have to be extremely careful or I can injure myself.
Christine developed and guided me in a Pilates regimen that my body has been able to tolerate well and I have been gaining strength and feeling much better in this process. I felt very comfortable that she listened to my concerns and worked with me within my limitations at the same time pushing me to do what she felt I was capable of.

Pilates is working magic on my body, after a near-fatal car accident almost 7 months ago, with traumatic injuries with the biggest being a brain injury, broken neck in cervical spine in C1-C3, torn muscles, torn tendons, a broken pelvis, broken hip and broken femur that required multiple surgeries, broken rib cages, extensive nerve damage and loss of blood flow.

Christine focuses on total body from the top of the head to bottom of the heel. Pilates has been moving every muscle I have, in ways I never thought would be possible again. For me, I have found that I am sleeping through the night without muscle spasms, lessened radiating pain from nerve damage, and I am able to relax my mind from exhaling deeply and having Christine teach me breath-work. The numb areas begin to feel sensations, the muscles are stretched to help work around built up scar tissue, and blood flow goes through my skull where nerves were pinched. The chronic pain becomes less along with a true lengthening in the body to stand tall. I feel like a new person in a short amount of time, after over six months of constant treatments that weren’t getting me the results I needed. I have gained neck rotation, I have gained flexibility, I have gained confidence, I have gained strength both mentally and physically. I learned what my body is capable of doing, and what it will be able to continue to do as time goes on the recovery journey. Also, for a person with brain injury who has cognitive deficiency, I am able to listen to what instructions are given and therapeutically help my brain function.

Christine’s patience, knowledge, compassion, attention to medical notes, and determination to heal is truly remarkable and her work speaks beyond words. Christine knows the body and the intricacies of how everything is connected, so she ensures you have the most extraordinary outcome when a session is over!

No matter what your body has been through, know that you are in the best hands, and you can only get BETTER!

I am a former rugby player always looking for different types of challenging workouts. I enjoy pilates over yoga and would consider myself a beginner in this style of working out. I attended a mat class with my wife and we had a first class experience. The studio is immaculate and very clean, which is imperative during the pandemic.
Christine taught a very fun an challenging class and I do plan to go back to try a reformer class. I would recommend The Pilates Room to anybody looking for a fun and challenging experience.
