We are also a community of people who value principals, guidance, learning and support. We see fitness as an outcome of smart, appropriate training and a necessity for an active life. I started training with Steve about 5 years ago and have been working with him ever since. Steve creates a positive but hard working atmosphere with clients that come to feel like family. Since moving in to his new location at The Strength Spot, he has made it a great place to work out. The place itself is clean, spacious, and has all the equipment you could want. I can't imagine working with a different trainer now that I've been here, and I would highly recommend this gym and trainer to anyone looking.

I’m very particular when it comes to finding a personal trainer and I have to say Stephen (owner) has been the best trainer I’ve ever had. He is motivating, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. He works with you one on one to make sure you are getting the best results, while guiding you through each exercise. I feel comfortable, respected and challenged at the Strength Spot. He makes working out actually enjoyable and fun but still hard work, which is rare to find. I’d recommend the Strength Spot to everyone!

Stephen is an extremely knowledgeable and motivating trainer. He takes time to ensure clients are utilizing the proper form and readily provides modifications when needed. His workouts are personalized and the perfect blend of strength, cardio and endurance training (be prepared to sweat!).

A feeling of community and camaraderie are very important to me when looking for a gym. Stephen actively fosters a sense of community and belonging with his clients that embraces all fitness levels.

The Strength Spot has a clean, welcoming and supportive atmosphere. I've tried many gyms in the area and this studio is truly a hidden gem.

Stephen (owner) is the best trainer I’ve ever had. He kicks my butt (in the best possible way) every time I go and is incredibly conscientious of making sure everyone is using correct form so they don’t get injured. Finding a good trainer is like finding a good hair stylist or therapist - once you do you stick with them. I'm one of Steve's oldest clients, both figuratively and literally; he's been my trainer/coach for over 12 years, through thick and thin, no pun intended, in good health and through challenging times.
Steve is an experienced professional, smart, and extremely knowledgeable in the field of sports medicine. His methodologies and principles are scientifically sound, he is goal oriented, and believes in continuous improvement, for himself and his clients.
He takes the time to understand you, how you think, and your physical condition. He designs training programs that are individualized and progressive, and when necessary, are adapted to ones changing physical needs or requirements.
The relationship between a trainer and their client is built on trust, commitment and understanding. I believe the trainer's role is to provide technical instruction and guidance, encouragement and support. I can say unequivocally that this has been and continues to be my experience with Steve as my trainer. I'm grateful we met 12 years ago.
P.S. the new gym, The Strength Spot, is a great place, clean, well-equipped and accessible.

I met Steve 5 years ago when he was coaching me at another facility. He is by far one of the most knowledgeable strength coaches out there. He has helped me tremendously with my techniques. From deadlifts to teaching me how to do Olympic lifts, he is incredibly insightful and experienced. Whatever your goals are, he will help you obtain them! I can’t recommend him enough!

I have been training with Stephen for about 6 months now. He has coached me individually and in a group setting.
In the time that I have trained with him, my physical and mental strength has improved immensely. I am able to lift heavier weights, and exercises are no longer as challenging as they used to be.
Stephen is incredibly attentive and makes each of his clients feel like they are the most important person in the room. He cheers me on when I’m struggling during a workout, and I leave every workout feeling better than when I walked into the gym. Been working with Steve for close to 4 years now. Steve is the man. I've worked with a bunch of trainers over the years and Steve blows them all out of the water. He genuinely cares about helping you meet your goals and always is adjusting your program to exactly what you need. I've had some shoulder issues over the years that we have worked around and it's made a big difference. Couldn't recommend Steve enough. The gym is awesome as well with a ton of room, which is great because with other trainers you're either working with a crowded chain gym or you're in a small spot that's usually too tight. Give it a try!
