I’ve been going to the yoga room for over two years and I will never go anywhere else! Melissa and her team are the best of the best. The space is extremely calming, clean and beautifully decorated. You feel an instant sense of peace and comfort the second you walk in the door. The yoga room is my weekly oasis! I highly recommend trying out a class, it’ll keep you coming back for more.

I would recommend The Yoga Room to anyone who was interested in trying yoga! Melissa and the rest of the teachers and incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I started off apprehensive since I had never done yoga before, but as soon as I finished my first class, I was hooked!! The space is beautiful, clean, and calming. I love the different class options! Since joining The Yoga Room, my mind and body have genuinely never felt better. I love starting or ending my days here and I’m excited to keep practicing!

My experience at the Yoga Room in
Prospect is above and beyond anything I thought it would be. When I first started going to yoga, which will be almost 2 years I was apprehensive because I wasn’t sure how I would like it or if I could do any of the moves. As time went by I felt more at ease and now I’m proud to say I’m more confident & that is thanks to Melissa and all the instructors who make you feel good about yourself. There is no judgment of what you can and can’t do for how long you can hold a pose or if you just want to sit back and be in child’s pose for the better part of the class. I love all the classes, that are offered that I’m hesitant to say, which is my favorite. The atmosphere is calming and soothing, and I look forward to going as often as I can.

After attending several sessions at The Yoga Room CT I’m finally ready to review!
I initially joined at the encouragement of a friend after a year of contemplation. Despite my initial hesitation towards slower-paced yoga, the first class proved to be transformative, leaving me captivated. The classes offered here strike a perfect balance between excitement and invigoration.

I am so happy I started coming here...the location and class schedule worked out very well for my own personal schedule and I try to come almost every day. You will get personal attention (which is so important in yoga) and Melissa is great at reading the room and knowing what is going to work best for you and everyone that day. She brings very good energy to the room and challenges you just enough. If you are new to yoga or it is something you find intimidating, this is a great place to start and you will get stronger over time. I regularly do the vinyasa and sculpt, and each class is always a little different. Highly recommend!

I really needed to build my core strength, decompress, improve balance, and I found that by attending Power Hour class every Tuesday and Thursday morning with Melissa. I've been going to The Yoga Room since May 2018 and I literally can see and feel the progress. Melissa always mixes things up, challenges us, keeps us focused. The Yoga Room is a true gem...but don't take my word for it - sign up for one of the classes and see for yourself.

Five stars isn't nearly enough.
When I first came to The Yoga Room over a year ago, I wasn’t sure what to really expect. My mother had mentioned the studio had opened and I thought it’d be a great thing for us to do together. But as I began to practice I quickly realized there was so much more to yoga than I had ever thought or knew. I have been to other yoga studios and never really got into it or enjoyed it. The Yoga Room has a totally different vibe and experience. Melissa and the team of instructors she’s welcomed have created a space for anyone to come and practice at any level without judgement.
As a side note, I struggle with some health issues and yoga has really been the missing piece, and not just yoga, but this space and the way Melissa guides us through our practice; she is truly a healer. Over the past 20 plus years there hasn’t been a doctor, medicine, or other remedy that has gotten me to the point I’m at now. There are no words to express the gratitude I have for The Yoga Room & Melissa. I would encourage anyone and everyone to consider yoga and this space. The Yoga Room was a game changer.

I've made Yoga a part of my life 2 years ago, and I'm grateful to Melissa and The Yoga Room for that. It's been one of the most beneficial decisions I've made! It's had a tremendous impact on me physically, mentally and spiritually! This studio offers classes for all levels, whether you're a beginner, intermediate or an experienced yogi. Melissa and all her Instructors are Amazing, they walk you through all the poses, assist you if needed, and put you at ease throughout the whole practice. Once you walk into this space, you feel an instant sense of peace and relaxation! From the relaxing music, the smell of fresh sage burning to the dim lighting, it all creates the perfect, tranquil environment!! I highly recommend every and anyone who has thought about or is into Yoga to give this studio a visit, you won't regret it. The Yoga Room isn't just any other studio. It's an.....EXPERIENCE !!!!

The Yoga Room is great for anyone. If you are new to yoga or have been practicing it for years you are welcomed at this studio. The teachers make you feel comfortable at any of the yoga classes. The studio is nice and clean. There is a spot to put your keys, shoes, and coats. When you walk in you feel like a sense of relief because you know that you can leave your worries at the door and focus on your practice. Melissa, the owner also has mats for people to use if you do not have one. She also has yoga blocks, bands and bolsters that you can use in your practice. During your practice, you get to focus on yourself without worrying about being judged. The Yoga Room is a great place to workout and breath.

I NEVER Liked yoga even when doing workout video series at home I would dread when it came to the Yoga workout. Well not anymore!!! As a mother of 2 boys I chose the Yoga Room as my escape from mom life and my dedicated “me” time. I have NOT regretted this decision! From day one I loved everything about this space. The classes are smaller and intimate, the space is so incredibly calming and relaxing and there is a class option for any experience level. Melissa is so welcoming and helpful during each session and truly engaging with her students. I’ve also taken a few other classes with other instructors and they are super kind as well! I’ve never committed to any form of workout but there is just “something” about The Yoga Room that leaves me wanting to come back each week for my Friday and Saturday classes. Thank you for giving this mommy a place of release, peace and comfort as well as a place to focus and strengthen myself! I really have noticed a huge difference in my endurance and mood since coming to The Yoga Room and strongly recommend it to anyone young or older! 💗

I love the yoga room! Melissa is the best! She makes you feel so comfortable and so relaxed when u walk through the door! The classes are wonderful, whether it’s gentle or a total workout! It’s awesome!! Totally worth it!
