βYoga From The Heart was created by the realization that yoga heals! Yoga builds strength and balance, reduces stress and cultivates mindfulness. Yoga creates community, friendships and opportunities for your health and wellness. YFTH believes everyone should experience these benefits.β
Experiencing first hand the life changing gifts of yoga, Diane Couture embarked on a journey to bring those gifts to others by opening Yoga From the Heart in West Hartford in March of 2018. After a destructive Studio flood in Sept. 2021, YFTH's journey led them to Avon Village! YFTH is a community based studio for health and wellness, offering a range of classes and workshops designed for every BODY and every JOURNEY.

So excited to find a yoga studio close to my home. They practice in a way that brings me such joy! If you're in the area I highly recommend taking a class. Small studio. Very easy going.

A great yoga experience here. The instructors here have a nice balance between finding the inner stillness and yet applying physical conditioning to the activity. You feel both internal and external growth here and feel completely loosened up after the class. The instructors push you to realize that your body is a lot more flexible then you think. Definetly recommend.

Great studio - a good balance of physical and mental challenge. The teachers here bring a mix of experience so you learn new things vs. doing the same things over and over like some other places in town that are too slow or too fast. The power vinyasa class on Sunday at 10:30 with Dana is awesome, with great music. Diane the owner and Amy are also fantastic teachers.

I purchased a special for new students. First class is free then It was $30 for unlimited classes for a month. I never have attended any yoga classes in my life but I always wanted too but found excuses, no time, it's for girls only, it's too expensive, I probably will look stupid not knowing anything, but after years of searching for a solution for my back pain, I'm 35 and I slipped a vertebra in my low back, I finally said it's time to at least try it. I'm so glad I took the chance. I find myself breaking into yoga poses in the midddle of work and it feels so good. I started with the yoga basics class. Then really liked Nicole's class on Friday's (yin-yang). She really is a great teacher. Classes are small. And correction in form in abundant. Stop wondering about yoga and just do it already. It has been around forever. There is as reason for that, it works. I would go every day if I could. Don't be intimidated like I was.

EDIT: I attended two more classes and upped the rating to 5 stars. All of the teachers have been great (Jamie, Stacee, JoAnn), as well as the owner Diane, who took the time to respond to my review below. They are responsive to customer input and are continuing to edit the schedule accordingly. The space remains consistently very nice. A few other tidbits I forgot to mention in the first review: they have plenty of mats, blankets, blocks, bolsters, and hand weights available; there are wipes to wipe down the mats after class; the music/sound system is nice; and online check-in is a breeze. Original review below . . . .
I went for a Saturday morning "Gentle Yoga" class. The space is downstairs in the building with Pompanoosuc Mills. Very nice, open class space. Some windows on one side that let in light from above but not distractions. Plenty of room. Seating/waiting area near the check-in desk and a separate area with water cooler and bathrooms. Nice wood or faux wood floor and smelled good. Only about 6 people attended class so not crowded at all. Our teacher was somewhat new to teaching but seemed to know her stuff (I'm not an experienced practitioner). A few noises from the businesses above were distracting and sometimes the teacher misspoke, but nothing big. I did not find the class too hard at all and she geared each pose toward each student's ability. I know they offer much more difficult classes as well. I wish their schedule had more available early morning before work and in the evening late enough to attend after work. Good yoga studio from my perspective as inexperienced in yoga studios. I will come again.
