Bayside Gymnastics in Milford, Delaware is absolutely fantastic! Coach Maddie and all the coaches there are so supportive and encouraging. My daughter, Cheyenne, has grown so much as a gymnast in such a short time. They've really helped her build confidence and she's just thriving. Coach Maddie is always willing to put in extra time, even her own spare time, to help one-on-one with students and make sure they feel heard and valued. She also really listens to parents' feedback and incorporates it into her lessons to help the kids even more. Bayside Gymnastics is a real asset to our community!

So glad we found this gym. My daughter is very motivated and happy to go to class each time. There is noticeable improvement in my daughter’s gymnastics skills, and the coaches running her class are organized, attentive, and skilled.

My kids and I love coming here. It’s like another family. They have learned so much my kids love Gabi. She’s not just an instructor. The way she works with. Children is phenomenal. I am always encouraging people to join. Delaware does not have many places like this Close to where I live.

Hello, my name is Coach Sasha, and I’m proud to be part of the Bayside Athletics team. Before becoming a coach, my younger sister Sophia attended classes here with Coach Hannah, whose enthusiasm and positive energy left a big impression on my family. That experience inspired me to join the team, and I’ve loved it ever since.

At Bayside, we balance fun and laughter with focused skill-building. One of the most rewarding parts of coaching is forming bonds with the kids—not just helping them grow as athletes, but also building their confidence.

My sister still trains here and has found both growth and community. As a staff, we do our best with the space we have, stay organized, and regularly meet to review feedback and improve. We are all looking forward to a bigger and newer space next year!

We always welcome input from families, and if you have concerns, we encourage you to speak directly with a coach so we can work together to provide the best possible experience for every child.

I would not recommend this gymnastics facility. The programs themselves have potential, but the way the owner runs things is very disappointing. Communication is poor, and concerns from parents don’t seem to be taken seriously. The environment feels more about money than the kids’ growth and enjoyment, which is a shame because gymnastics should be a positive and supportive experience. I expected better leadership and professionalism from the top.

Our daughter has trained here for the past three years and we are very pleased with the gym, her team, and her progress. The coaches are extremely supportive and knowledgeable, and I feel it’s a very positive encouraging team environment for her. Coach Madi and Coach Jen go out of their way to communicate with families individually, and arrange events and opportunities for the team. They care for my child personally and I drive an extra distance for her to continue here. The gym is growing and we are excited it will be in a brand new space come 2026. I am grateful to Bayside and the coaching staff for building my child’s confidence and skills in a healthy environment. She loves being there!

We’ve been coming for a year and always a wonderful experience. Very organized, always helping the kids reach their full potential with great knowledge and fun. Coaches are well mannered and VERY approachable! I know you shouldn’t have favorites but some of my daughter’s favorites are Maddi, Gabby and Sasha.

Coach Madi is the best gymnastics coach. She is so knowledgeable and organized. We love the competitive gymnastics team. We have had 2 birthday parties at Bayside. All the children had an amazing time. Bayside has so much more to offer. They have summer camps for working parents. They offer a wide range of other programs such as cheerleaders and jujitsu. Check out Bayside Athletics you will not be disappointed.

Both of my kids attend classes at Bayside and love it! I’ve been there when 8 classes were going on at the same time and they were all choreographed in a way that no one ran into each other! My son’s confidence has grown since being involved in the Ninja class and my daughter has really developed a passion for gymnastics. She’s always practicing at home! I’m excited for their new building to be completed!

Our oldest has attended multiple classes and summer camp weeks throughout the years at Bayside Gymnastics. Years ago when he attended - the classes were very organized and the gym was not very crowded so it was comfortable for us to watch him. Years ago, the classes just overall seemed more structured and organized.

We decided to sign our oldest and middle child up for classes this summer. It had been a while since our oldest attended classes. Overall, I was not impressed. They have heavily expanded but unfortunately it is to the point where their space is not big enough for the expansion. The seating area for families is overcrowded. I could barely get my stroller into the area in the back (where the bathroom is also located) - I am almost certain that the area in the back also couldn’t be deemed wheelchair accessible with all of the fold up chairs lined up. They hold so many classes at one time now that the gym is clearly overcrowded and the children do not get the opportunity to use a large variety of equipment like they did in classes years ago because now other classes are using it (My oldest was very upset that for his class they no longer use the trampoline).

Some of the instructors also seem heavily inexperienced. For example, for my middle child’s toddler class we had a different instructor for the second class. The instructor had no type of organization or structure during the class and everyone just basically stood there. It got to a point where I notified management and management had to intervene and help run the class. It’s tough when different instructors are used for toddler classes - as younger children begin to develop a relationship with instructors and developing that consistent positive rapport with the same person is crucial for skill building.

When it comes to management and staff, multiple new people have been hired. I personally witnessed on multiple different occasions managers/staff members gossiping about other employees and other families while they are standing out on the mats in front of the children. If I could hear it from the seating area, I’m sure other parents and children could hear it. Very unprofessional, and inappropriate. I also felt that one of the managers were unprofessional in the way she addressed me during a class - she came up, in front of all of the other families without bothering to pull me to the side, asking if the person on the mat with my child was at least 16 years old and then notified me that certain forms we not signed that needed to be. When it comes to asking the age of individuals and requiring a customer to disclose that age - it should have been done at their front desk in a more private setting (Ultimately, I did notify her that the person was in fact 21 and well over the age of 16).

Lastly, we signed our kids up for the summer and had no intentions of continuing classes in August because our oldest begins soccer. I drafted an email to send notice of us not wanting to continue and thought that the email was sent. I received a phone call from the manager asking if we plan to continue classes because we had not been seen in a while. Upon looking in my outbox while on the phone with her I then realized that the email did not send and that we were still charged for the entire month of August. I told the manager this situation over the phone. Her response was that we would not be reimbursed for what was charged. I then asked her if we could do make up classes for the month we missed. She said that the only way we could do make up classes is if we paid for classes for the month of September. So they billed us for the entire month of August, refused to reimburse despite being explained the situation, then stated the only way we could complete make up classes is if we paid more money for the month of September. After clearly stating to her we do not wish to continue classes, they then billed us AGAIN today for September.

Bayside used to be a place that I loved for my children and I would highly recommend to others but now, that is certainly not the case.

Maddie doesn’t come across as very organized or approachable. I’ve seen her dismiss questions instead of helping, and it gives the impression she isn’t interested in supporting people. For someone in a management role, that attitude is concerning.

We came to the gym for a clinic. The clinic was very well organized and it was evident time was spent amongst the staff to be prepared for the large group. Prior to the clinic my questions were answered promptly via email and their on line portal is very user friendly. The facility is clean and well organized. The owner provided an informative packet and additional instructions to help parents support their athletes with the skills they learned or are learning. Overall great experience!

Bayside is such a great and much needed addition to Milford. They offer a slew of classes for kids of all ages. My son LOVES ninja class with Coach Rigby and my daughter loves Jiu Jitsu with Gabby and the Scavenger JJ crew. The staff are great, the facility is clean and well equipped, and I love the ease of their app and website.

I can't think of her name, but the young coach that does our toddlers class has the paitence of a Saint, she is always super swee and gentle. They do a great job of keeping things consistent enough so the kids can learn to do it but also challenging enough to test them. Super grateful we found something like this to get our son around other kids his age without him needing to sit still and quiet the whole time. They understand the age group perfectly.
