Evolution Karate Academy has been a great experience for my 6 year old. From when he started at age 4 the instructors have been incredibly patient and caring with all the children. New students with apprehension receive extra attention as they acclimate to class. And each instructor knows each child by name.

As students progress through class with each other they focus on their own self improvement not competition against each other. Each skill is reintroduced in each class allowing new students to learn as all students continue to improve. Incremental achievements awards keep short attention spans focused on an immediate goal while really working towards the bigger goal of their next belt.

Evolution is a great place for children to learn discipline, self improvement, and physical fitness, while burning off some energy.

Such a wonderful place for the kids. There is an air of community, and fun. They learn while enjoying themselves, and I think it’s made a difference in how much our kids want to keep going back. The instructors are top tier, who are so patient and tailor lessons to each individual. I’d also like to personally callout Miss Morgan, who has become my six year old’s favorite human. She is patient, kind, and fun, and I think that her influence is what built his momentum to keep going back. Lastly, there really is a feeling of friends and family. Within days, most of the staff knew all four of the kids, and take personal interest in how well they’re doing. Definitely recommend, if you want to start your kids in martial arts, this is the place to do it.

My 7 and 9 year old has the most AMAZING time at Ninja Warrior camp this week! They were engaged in many fun movement activities. Exercise is the main way for a kiddo to burn energy and organize themselves and they definitely came home tired each day and ready to go back the next day! Thank you EKA!!!

Our 9 year old was so excited to be attending the Ninja Warrior summer camp. We found out that on the first day of camp some of the other campers insisted on picking on our child. After so many positive reviews from patrons about how great the staff is, I wanted to provide my honest review because the experience my child had on the first two days was extremely frustrating.

The first day of camp, our son had said that some of the other campers were picking on him. He shared there was an adult on site throughout the first day and some oversight/ guidance was provided to the camp staff. However the following day, the 4-5 younger camp staff let the children talk back and/or bully others. When it was reported to the camp staff that someone was misbehaving, the entire group was forced to run.

I understand conditioning for sports teams and competitive environments but when children are there for summer camp and a fun atmosphere, being forced to run as punishment for someone else misbehaving is unacceptable.

As an establishment that focuses on teaching discipline and respect, it is extremely frustrating that none of the staff demonstrated those characteristics when caring for my child.

I would not recommend this program to others.

I started at Evolution last year as a 48-year old first time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu student with no previous experience. Over the past 12 months, I've learn a great deal about the art, as well as myself. I've lost weight, built muscle, increased my cardio output, and gained a solid, fundamental grasp of BJJ!

The instruction is top notch and the other students in the class are kind and welcoming, and just want to make sure everyone learns to their full potential -- it's a very laid-back environment that's perfect for first timers. I'm looking forward to continuing my classes there!

The best thing to get my son started on after he turned 4. It took a few classes and a stranger telling him to get back on floor for him to get comfortable in class with other kids who are his age or a bit older. The instructors are super helpful and patient. Now my son really enjoys going to his karate class at least two to three time a week. He eats better after class and even learnt how to count better because some exercise requires counting moves.

I can’t say enough good things about Evolution. All 3 of my kids have been here for just over a year now and they always love to show off what they have learned. The instructors are great and all provide a special learning experience in their own way. I love the flexibility of the schedules instead of having to commit to a single day and time when we all know as parents life is busy and the unexpected always seems to happen. Our experience has been positive all around, Master K is running Evolution the best way possible from management to teaching...just all around great. More and more kids join every week and even still Master K, Master Watson, Miss Alex and the other instructors still manage to take time for each student. If you’re reading reviews and contemplating if this is the right step for your child(ren) or even yourself, I would say stop searching and sign up! We’ve tried other places in the area and became discouraged with our experience so we decided to try here and so glad we did!!

Evolution is a one stop training center. I went for a trial period and I was hooked. In this year I have gotten to know the instructors. ALL are very good at what they to. Starting from Miss Alex and Mr. Adam are great with the kids. They show patience and kindness. Mr. Mac is a hard worker and he works you hard. Master Watson is an awesome teacher!! He makes it easy and hard at the same time. He does not allow you to rest on what you already know. Then comes Master K. he has a smile for everyone, but don’t let the smile fool you. The knowledge that he has is amazing!! This is truly a family!!I couldn’t see me anyplace else. Come see for yourself, and you will get hooked!!

Outstanding experience. I have 2 kids that have been going to Evolution for the past 3+ years. My son has attended this school for almost 10 years (most of that time under its previous name, Korean Martial Arts Institute). He started the week of his 5th birthday, as a hyperactive, inattentive child. I could see right away the difference that the school made in his behavior and attitude...Evolution Karate Academy is not just about teaching martial arts, it is about teaching respect, self-discipline, and self-esteem, and that's exactly what my son has learned in his 10 years there. He now holds a second-degree black belt (not given out lightly like some karate schools) and has developed both physically and mentally into a well-behaved and well-rounded young man because of the influence of his instructors, particularly Master K. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a program for their child to help them develop strength in their mind and body.

Evolution Karate Academy is managed by a seriously kid-friendly staff that facilitate confidence, athletic skill enhancement, and a competitive spirit. My daughter started there about a year and a half ago when she was just 8 yrs old. After just 2 years, she is doing real pushups, situps and has mastered her board breaking skills. Most importantly though, she enjoys the team spirit and all of the friends she has made there. I am grateful we made the investment in her character growth by taking the first step. I really encourage anyone with young children to give it just a month trial to see first hand what we have experienced.
