Coach B and Coach Dave are very knowledgeable and skilled in their respective training areas. They push their athletes to be their absolute best but are also conscious of not overworking them. They value and support their athletes beyond the gym as well! They are constantly showing up to support us at our games/ matches and will listen to us talk about our school life, etc. House of Champs is an amazing facility as well with a ton of great equipment to help us get stronger, faster, and more athletic! House of Champs is the place to be if you’re an athlete looking to level up!

This review has been long overdue. For years my son a lover of Football has had a problem with very bad shin splints he has been through numerous therapy sessions and no result. In 2021 I moved to Delaware and was introduced to House of Champs by a car dealership sales personnel. Day 1 of attending was sort of ok let’s see what happens introduced my son and myself to Coach Dave which was very welcoming sat down my son explained his problem with his shin splints and so forth the conversation was very detailed and everything was explained let’s just say we left there knowing exactly what to expect which was very satisfying to both my son and I. By day 2 or day 3 I was watching a detailed slowed down video of my sons’ performance so I saw his movements better. Coach Dave immediately pointed out the problem that for years hindered my son. He now understands to an extent the hows and whys and runs faster and with more confidence not to mention without pain and this not an over exaggeration it’s just amazing. Any shin splints sports players or any sports personnel with issues HOUSE OF CHAMPS is the place, thank you House of Champs!!! located in Dover a recommendation you won’t regret.

I joined Coach B's Byond Strength now Strong
HER a year ago and have loved it! I love the workouts that Coach B creates. They are challenging, kick my butt regularly and make me feel accomplished when I'm done. My daughter also joined HOC for athlete training to continue to work on strength, agility, speed and most importantly injury prevention.
Coach B and Coach Dave customize parts of the workouts based on your child's sport and whether they are in season or off season.
They work with athletes to continue training, and will help them one on one during sessions if they did happen to have an injury from their sport to help that injury heal. Coach B and Coach Dave go above and beyond to ensure proper form, encourage the athletes, and challenge them to be better/do better. The knowledge that they both bring to HOC is unmatched.

I joined the women’s workout class in early 2024 and was not sure what it had in store but Coach B and all the ladies in the class were so welcoming. Coach allowed me to do a test run class for free to see if it was something I liked and I signed up that same day. The classes have enough variety to keep me interested and challenged while repeating moves enough times to feel comfortable and push my limits. Coach B has always offered modifications and advice that you would expect to with 1 on 1 trainings, but at an affordable group class rate. I couldn’t be happier with the coaching and workouts for her women’s program StrongHER!

I went to Dave seeking training when my physical health had reached an all time low. I was not sure I could ever feel strong again. Dave’s approach to total health and strength management is perfect for anyone who has taken too much time off. In a surprisingly short period of time I was experiencing less back and joint pain and I have had measurable increases in strength and balance.

When my son was playing Lacrosse last year we noticed how well a team mate was running. When I talked to the team mate’s parent House of Champs was the recommendation. When we took our son to complete the athlete assessment is when I found out about the women’s group, StrongHER.

This gym is exactly what we needed. For both athletes and women’s classes the groups are small, your form is always watched and corrected. The coaches push you to do your best. There are always modifications to the exercises, especially if you experienced an injury or came back after being ill.

When I started in July I was completing PT for a right arm issue. PT was great, but costly. It also made me realize that I needed to strengthen my entire body, not just one part. I was also experiencing hip and back pain, from being extremely sedentary and out of shape, especially with my age and being peri-menopausal. In the six months of attending the StrongHER classes my back and hip pain are much improved. In fact I would say it is extremely seldom that I have them. I have lost a few inches, and a few pounds, built muscle, improved my body tone, and overall feel better.

My son, also enjoys going to the gym. He actually makes it a point to get three days a week in. His running has improved, his self-confidence has improved, and he is happy about how his body looks, cut and tone.

We can’t say enough good things about House of Champs and the wonderful coaches, Dave and B. I wish we had found them sooner for both my son and I.

After taking a few years off from lifting, I wanted to join a group to motivate myself again. Going into the program I knew I would need to work harder as I have gotten older. But wasn’t too concerned as I knew what I was capable of. Joining StrongHer at the House of Champs definitely humbled me. Before I was doing workouts from Instagram. Always seemed to have lower back pain but ignored it. Since joining, I was taught proper form and how to keep myself safe. I was never able to squat more than 155lbs. Happy to say today, I’m over that and heading for more. Coach B is very knowledgeable and encourages you to do better for yourself. Glad I took the leap, I always said “I’ll never do group exercising, it’s not for me.” Definitely was lying to myself, I enjoy seeing my group each week and watching us grow together.

I joined House of Champs in eighth grade to improve my speed and strength for soccer and swim, and it completely transformed my performance. Now, as a college student, I’ve started attending the Stronger-Her women’s sessions led by Coach B whenever I’m home. I attend these sessions with my mom and it has been a great way for us to bond, have fun, and get stronger together. We encourage each other throughout the workouts, and it’s amazing to share this journey with her while we both stay active and healthy. Coach B creates a welcoming and supportive environment, no matter your fitness level. The workouts are empowering and help you build strength, agility, and confidence. Whether you’re getting back into fitness or looking to maintain your routine, this program is perfect.

I have been unmotivated and uninterested in any kind of exercise (structured or unstructured) for my entire life. In March 2024, at age 46, 2 friends and I decided to join House of Champs Women’s Strength training class. I couldn’t do a squat to save my life, a pushups, or plank was near impossible, and had no endurance at all, let alone any strength that was useful in my day to day life as a mom and nurse. After being consistent holding myself accountable to my coaches and friends, I can honestly say I can’t remember a time that I have actually felt more PROUD of my body and its growing STRENGTH. I’m not a model or in perfect shape but a can function without aches and pains. Even in my teens and 20’s I didn’t feel this much confidence in myself. Coach B and Coach Dave have changed my life, and helped me grow as a strong capable (getting older) woman.

I worked with Coach Dave at the House Of Champs for a while and I can't recommend him enough. From the start, he took the time to really listen to my goals. It’s not just about getting me in shape—he understands what I’m looking for in terms of strength, performance, and overall fitness. His personalized approach really shows that he cares about my progress, not just a one-size-fits-all workout. He pushes me just the right amount, but also knows when to adjust things based on how my body feels. Great guy, professional, and really knows his stuff. If you're a guy serious about making real progress, he’s the trainer to go to.

When I came to House of Champs I had very little experience in strength training. As a high school senior, I was going through my fourth year of field hockey, second year of cross country, and fourth year of track and field. Despite my dedication to these sports, I assumed the strength training I was doing in my school practices was enough to help me succeed and rarely lifted outside of that setting. By November of my senior year, I had been diagnosed with two stress reactions in my left femur, which I was told would prevent me from running and training for at least three months. Being in the middle of the college application and athletic recruitment process, this was not an option for me. Immediately following the two week full-rest period prescribed by my doctor, I began attending House of Champs to work on training that would benefit me in my recovery period without putting me at risk of further injury. Coach Dave was great at helping me to maximize what I gained from speed training as I worked through the rehab process for my leg, introducing alternative exercises that fit what my injury allowed but still challenged me and helped me grow. Coach B was very understanding of my lack of experience in weightlifting, and supported me in learning proper technique in the weightroom. Over the two months before I was able to return to running, I trained at House of Champs twice a week and experienced a great deal of progress. By the time I was able to return to racing, my form had improved immensely, I was stronger than ever, and I had developed running technique to prevent injury in the future, all thanks to my time at House of Champs. I was so impressed with the progress I made in that short time that I continued training at House of Champs all through my spring track season and into the summer, and my time there continued to pay off. Now in my freshman year of college as a D3 athlete, I am a scoring runner on my cross country team and I am able to easily keep up with my teammates in the weight room, an area in which I had always struggled. Training at House of Champs was the best decision I made for my athletic career, my only regret is not joining sooner. I will always owe a great deal of my success as an athlete to Coach B and Coach Dave, and I will always be so grateful for my time at House of Champs!

My daughter just started training here. First impressions are very positive. The trainers are very informed and sorting her assessment showed us the areas they will work on to improve her agility and speed. Very professional, and the equipment seems very well maintained. Will post an update after a few weeks about our experience

UPDATE 10/10/23: My daughter has been going here for about two months, and we have seen a dramatic change in her, both physically and mentally. She is more confident, and her speed and agility has already remarkably improved. She was reluctant to go at first, but now she is seing the results.

If I could give 10 stars I would! The B.yond Strength women’s training program at House of Champs is the best! After the 6 week challenge, I had lost pounds and inches, but more importantly I had gained a commitment to myself, a healthier stronger self. The small group size allows for the coaches to focus on form - to prevent injury, and/or modifying an exercise to better fit the member’s skill level. It is evident that Coach B and Coach Dave want each of us to succeed, not just that day or month, but long term. I love that the sessions are full body workouts and different every time! It’s not like staring at the clock on a treadmill, wishing it would be over already. The sessions are pre-planned and we move seamlessly as a group through them, all while being encouraged by the coaches and each other. I have and will continue to recommend this program!! 💯 💪

As a tennis coach who spends 8+ hours on court per day, I’m used to feeling sore and achey when I wake up in the morning. Since starting the B.yond strength training program at House of Champs with Coach B and Coach Dave I’ve noticed a significant increase in energy levels on and off court and my aches and pains are gone. Attending the training sessions three times a week over the past three months has helped me to build speed on court and improve my strength. Overall, the program has made me feel stronger, fitter, and healthier. If you’re looking to start a program that will hold you accountable and push you to be better, I highly recommend B.yond strength.

I can’t believe how I feel after the 6-week start up program. Coach B and Coach Dave really work on helping each one of us individually reach our goals while working on form. I lost not only weight but inches! Excuses not to work out are no longer made - I look forward to the 5:30 am routine three days a week and have the extra energy to get lots of steps in during the day! I absolutely love this program and the small group of ladies I work out with! The program motivated me so much that I’m continuing with House of Champs! Thanks Coach B and Coach Dave! Our daughter has advanced significantly since joining HOC. They are hands down the best facility to help young (and older) athletes.
Safety being their first priority, they focus on making sure the workouts are being done correctly to avoid injury. Giving each athlete a full run down of what drills will benefit their sport of choice. Even multiple sports!! We are happy our daughter has been a part of their gym.

I am so extremely happy to have found the House of Champs, Coach B, and the B.Yond Strength training class for women! I was a very active, fit, well trained sprinter, hurdler and runner once upon a time. I remained active until being diagnosed with arthritic and joint issues years ago. I ultimately had a full hip replacement with complications which resulted in a fractured femur during surgery. My agility, mobility decreased and sitting increased due to aches and joint pains. I'm super busy but my job is sedentary and I'm at my desk for most of the work day. I realized that I needed to make better choices to get back to a healthy state. I contacted Coach B. (after seeing an invitation) while traveling out of state and inquired about the B.Yond Strength program for women. I met with her as soon as I got back home. We had a great conversation and she did a full assessment asking me about my goals and desires to become healthier. I immediately joined the first 8 week session. I noticed results after the second week. I felt better about myself and my body felt stronger. My mobility increased and by week 4, I was once again able to do things such as get down and up from the floor without grabbing objects for assistance. The pain that I felt everyday (for years) in my legs, knees, ankles, feet and overall body slowly went away. To be replaced by stronger, healthier muscles. Coach B. recognized the little (and big) wins and continued to encouraged me to set new goals. She encourages each lady in the group and lets us know that we are capable of doing what we set our mind and bodies to do. We need only commit to taking care of ourselves and strive to reach our goals. Coach B. shares tidbits of healthy information, posts encouraging messages and provides facts about healthy lifestyle options. She will even text (if requested) to give a little shout out of encouragement and accountability when needed. I am such a believer in the B.Yond Strength program. Grateful and thankful for having met Coach B! I have enrolled in the next session and will stay on as a participant for as long as I possibly can. I have health goals which I know are achievable with B.Yond Strength. I highly recommend that women step out on faith if you're looking to be stronger and healthier. Look into partnering with Coach B. Invest in yourself and start becoming the healthier version of you today!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my 8 week program with B.yond Strength Women’s Fitness Program. B is a great coach and took a personal interest in each one of us. I’ve learned a lot about how to make my weak areas (knees, feet, lower back) stronger and give them the support they need from the rest of my muscles. I’ve lost inches and pounds through the workouts but also because it’s set a foundation for a healthier diet and lifestyle. I’m looking forward to continuing with the program and seeing continued improvement as I move into my late 50s!!!! Thanks B…and Dave!

Happy that Coach B decided to do a strength class for 40+ women: “B.yond Strength”. It is not about the quantity but the quality she brings during each workout. I continue to learn and progress through these sessions despite me being used to going to the gym since high school. I picked up on playing more tennis for the last year since the Pandemic, and noted how hard it was on my joints. Under their training, I have less joint aches, and injuries, quicker short bursts of movements and easier recovery. They focus on form, avoiding injuries and individualize needs depending on one’s activities. Don’t expect a high intensity, high calorie burning workout, but a solid foundation that you can rely on for years, as a great investment for continued muscle and bone strength.

I’m so grateful that I decided to join the 8 week 40+ plus woman classes. Coach B is beyond the best coach and trainer. These past 8 weeks have been life changing for me. My overall health, energy level, and joint pain has improved significantly. Coach B focus on form, strength training, and conditioning while keeping it pain free. I personally need both of my knees replaced, have 5 deteriorating disc in my back. And these class have helped me so much. I enjoy the small classes, which allows Coach B to work with each one of us individually to improve what we need to work on. I went to see my nutritionist today and she was super happy with my results, and personally wanted me to thank Coach B. My Fat Mass, BMI, and Weight went down. While my Muscles Mass increased and let me not forget I lost several inches off my waist. 👏🏾 Don’t take my word, sign up and see the results for yourself. 💯🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Great place - highly Recommend. My son went to two other places before we settled in at house of champs. What stuck out to me, was that both coaches cared and paid attention to each kid. They weren’t afraid to adjust or correct the kid if they weren’t doing activities properly. Form matters. They also would reach out after class if there were concerns. It is just nice to know all businesses these days aren’t just all about the money, this one here really cares about their clients. Thank you.

I apprehensively, joined beyond strength with B through the House Of Champs last summer. My goal was to complete eight weeks and be done but B has been so amazing and motivating. I’ve decided to re-sign up. B personalize every session for those who are fit and those of us who are not so fit. I often go in exhausted and leave completely re-energized. Not only have I gained muscle and strength. but a positive attitude toward working out . B is also very informative about nutrition, injuries and anything else you ask her. She will find the answers. The Coaches (B and Dave) are awesome and very knowledgeable and supportive of all the athletes they coach.

My daughter Alyssa went from being underweight and barely being able to lift an 8-pound dumbbell to being able to squat weight over 140 pounds. She was taught the best form and purpose of each exercise or movement. This experience will last her a lifetime and allow her to prevent serious injuries from improper training. Now she is off to college as a track athlete. HOC was such a great experience for us. Totally worth the drive. And I can’t thank them enough for the time and care they have provided for my special athlete.

Coach Dave and Coach B are worth every penny! Each session is specifically tailored to each athlete with a strong focus on injury prevention and proper mechanics. We initially committed to 3 months and saw such huge improvements in speed, agility, vertical jump, and strength that we kept our kids in the program. One of our athletes previously had knee pain that completely resolved with the exercises prescribed. Totally worth it!

My middle-school age son has been working with House of Champs for roughly two years. Sometimes I talk to him and say he's doing a good job at school, or at sport, and he more or less shrugs it off; it's expected as far as he is concerned. The only place that he does better than he, himself, thought he could do is at House of Champs; when he comes home and says, "Dad, they moved me up in weight," that is as proud as he feels in any avenue of life. And that is because Coach B and Coach Dave have built a culture that allows kids to earn it if they want to. The muscles are great, but the attitude is priceless.

Our athlete has been with HOC since 8th grade. From the very beginning, they met her where she was at with individualized attention and training. She is a 2-sport athlete and HOC does an exceptional job of adapting her training to in-season vs out-of-season. Additionally, they’ve helped her through injuries from time to time. Coach B and Coach Dave are two of the most authentic strength and agility coaches who constantly challenge their athletes and keep them looking forward to their next session. My husband and I decided to have our boys start at House Of Champs a few months ago. We made the decision to have them go after seeing how thorough Coach B and Coach Dave are with the athletes. They work very hard to make sure that each athlete is getting the correct type of training depending on the sport they play. Coach B and Coach Dave are very diligent in watching the forms of the athletes and will correct their form if it is not correct to make sure that injuries do not occur. Coach B and Coach Dave also make it possible to continue to train if an athlete has been injured by making the modifications needed for the workout. I was already a member. My husband since joined. I would say we are impressed and proud to be a part of the HOC family.

House of champs has made me a remarkably better athlete. Not only does it physically feel better to play my sport, but training allows me to gain confidence in myself and my abilities, and to excel. My strength, vertical, speed, and overall athleticism have greatly increased from just 2 years of speed and strength training at House of Champs. Additionally, Coach Dave and Coach B have helped me through various injuries throughout my time here, in addition to the injury prevention that strength training already provides. I have tried other gyms around Delaware, but nothing compares to the custom workouts, level of training, and overall feel of House of Champs. I feel well prepared for my career as a collegiate athlete, and know that Coach Dave and Coach B will always welcome me back to train during school breaks.
