This is the nicest and cleanest Planet Fitness I've ever been in and I've been to a ton. The staff is incredibly helpful and really care. Makes a huge difference. The members are your typical mix of hardcore to casual, but the vibe is good! I'm thoroughly impressed! They've recently added new equipment which is a bonus. It's also never too busy. You can always find something to work out with or on. A+!!!

Im active duty service member and I travel all over with my planet fitness membership. Out of a few dozen ive checked into this 1 was not only super clean with not a thing broken or need fixing. It had a squat rack! Never see that. The other plate machines you only see at the nicer PFs. And whoever was in charge of setup was a pro. Nothing in the way or needed to be traveled or transported to. It was designed to be seamless. Quick shout out to I think his name was "Jagger" at the desk this afternoon. Smiled the whole time and made sure to greet everyone on way in and out. Hell yeah PF middletown.

I recently left the Y and joined several months ago. I appreciate that they have several machines for the same body parts, This way you don’t have to wait around. Generally, people are conscientious and helpful.
Place is clean and well kept.
However, I have the upgraded membership and the Hydro massage machines have not been available to use. Not sure why.
It would be nice if they gave notice when the gym is closing for instance this week the 25th through the 27th. It was closed due to upgrades. They should post signs in advance so you can plan around that. Otherwise, I would recommend because they do have a lot of great equipment to use.

I came here with a friend of mine a few days ago to try it out and see if I wanna join. It was fun and theirs so many cute guys in the locker room which was fun when I was getting changed lol. It’s a little expensive to join here. I think I’m gonna stick with the Middletown YMCA because they have a pool and the guys r hotter there as well.

Planet Fitness is an excellent gym for anyone looking for an affordable, welcoming, and no-frills workout experience. I love the judgement free environment. The locker room is very clean and well maintained. The 24/7 availability at many locations adds a huge level of convenience. And the black card membership enables me to use any PF center. This was good place at first very clean but then an employee had a problem with my mental disability and got me banned from the location. They unbanned me since but then judge you based on your disability status and if your a veteran.

Let me start off by saying that I did like coming to this Planet Fitness initially. However, staff are rude and don’t monitor the gym for cleanliness. I have complained before about the restrooms and gym being dirty to no avail. The equipment is showing heavy use and some equipment needs to be refurbished/replaced. The one leg extension machines feels like I’m on a roller coaster ride when I’m on it because it is unbalanced 😂😂.

I have noticed the staff stand behind the desk and don’t walk the gym to make sure members are putting their weights back on the rack, areas are clean, or check for people to ensure they are scanning their membership. I have seen people over the months just walk in without scanning their membership cards and the front staff don’t stop them or say anything. It’s a free for all.

And if you are lucky, you may get a “hello” or some type of “grunt” from the staff as you walk-in. It’s comical to say the least. The staff act like they are scared to speak to the members but aren’t scared to play on their phones while standing behind the desk 🙈.

In the end, what do you expect for $9.99 per month 🤷‍♂️.

Please see my review. Had a great experience - a kind and patient young man named Earl - showed me around and set up a routine for me. I am not a person that typically would join a gym but due to my age - needed to go outside of the box and my normal routine. Losing muscle mass and strength. The gym was super clean - went during the day, so not crowded and I did not feel rushed. I set up a 3x a week routine and actually excited to go back.

The place was packed. Clean. Friendly staff. But the locker room was not accommodating at all. I travel for work and have to shower and change back into my work clothes. They only have half lockers. No full height lockers. So everything has to be crumpled on top of everything. Also, I had to shave. The sinks are only connected to cold water and have absolutely no water pressure. Then, when I took a shower, the water pressure was even more comical. I nice warm drool. There's no way this has not been brought up a million times. It's in a pretty busy strip mall, and the place looked like they were on their game, so I could imagine they SOME kind of leverage to address this ridiculous issue. If I ever come back here I have to plan to shave with a cold clogged razor and take a shower under a water fountain. Place was 5 stars except for the locker room.

Oh.... and they had 3 sinks. 1 didn't work. So I felt bad for using 1 out of 2 sinks. Come on, maaaaaan!

Very disappointed, I have been a planet fitness member for past 9 years, travel different states and use the gyms. This middletown Delaware location is a clean gym no doubt but with the worse people relation managment. They have been super racist towards me. I can’t speak for the others, but I just moved here and 3 occasion they have stopped me from working out during my workout. Once it was for the phone call I answered when I was on the machine and I understand it was my fault and I accept that. Second time they told me I can’t bring a gallon bottle with me while the others around me were using it, the third time I had a small tiny bag with me while the others had it also and they told me to remove the bag. When I pointed out the other bags they told me those string bags are allowed. Every time I walk in the gym they talk about me and eye me the whole time I’m in the gym. They say bye to everyone and when I pass by they don’t care to say bye. I confronted the staff talking about me, he replied that he was informing the staff about the incident. I thought planet fitness was a “No CRITIC” “NO JUDGEMENT GYM” all they have been doing is judging me. They mess up my workout and it feels very uncomfortable to come to this gym because of they eye balling me the minute I walk in and leave. I will keep writing reviews on every incident until district manager contacts me.

As a OTR semi driver, I see a Lot of Planet Fitness. I liked the bathroom layout and showers here in Dover, DE, especially the water pressure. All the equipment I used was in good working condition, no wait, and friendly staff (not just glued to their phone) said Hi and Bye as I came and went.

I really like the customer service. Both times that I have been in, the PF team member has been so helpful. Today was my first workout and it felt so good, not sure how good I will feel in the morning but I will know that there is progress. The facility is very nice with lots of machines and amenities. I can't wait to try the massage chairs and the infared light therapy. There is so much that Planet Fitness offers and the price is right, so affordable!

Amazing gym started having a medical issues after workout got very dizzy and blurred vision the planet fitness staff noticed and came to my aid almost instantly made sure I was ok even gave me a free Gatorade to help get my blood sugar back up very scary but felt insanely safe knowing the staff at planet fitness had my back and was keeping tabs on me while I was catching my breath I highly recommend this gym these staff really care about their members
