Just had the rudest staff interaction at the desk with bald headed guy.
Asked to use the massage chairs as a black pass with a guest and was not aware guest could not use this perk—which is okay I was just not aware. Bald headed guy was very condescending and aggressive when asking if my guest was black pass. Again, the policy is not the issue but the demeanor of the staff.
When informing something, it should be in a good tone and something along the lines of “unfortunately” and not “I’m not joking, they can’t use it”. EXTREMELY inappropriate, especially if it’s a routine customer interaction. Can’t imagine this dude if a problem arises with a customer…

Other than this, haven’t had any bad experiences! Rest of the staff rocks :)

This gym has so much potential but the lack of management is so obvious and really ruins it.

The "manager" Nicky (she has the title but doesn't actually do anything) is rude to customers and makes us feel so unwelcome.
She's even rude to the other employees who actually take care of the place. A couple of us have talked to her with complaints or requests and she huffs in your face and rolls her eyes. We don't even try to talk to her anymore. She doesn't clean, she doesn't try to get anything fixed and just makes everything difficult and uncomfortable for no reason!

PLEASE get rid of her so we can have a good gym again.

Was here multiple times as I was in town for vacation. Very clean, friendly staff, state of the art equipment and wished me a Happy Birthday when I checked in on that day! I’ll be coming a couple more times before I go home and if I come back to the area for future trips, I’ll be back!

Most of the staff are really friendly and helpful, but the manager (Nicky? Nickie? Nicolette?) is very rude to customers and not helpful.

She is snippy, unhelpful and gives customers dirty looks frequently. I asked her a simple question and she was condescending and snarky. It was really uncalled for.
She definitely makes people not want to come back, but the other sweet staff make up for her lack of people skills.

Thankfully for us she is hardly ever actually working.

Great gym with cleaner facilities than my home gym! However, one VERY big problem is the weekend hours at this location! My home gym is open 24 hours and this location is only open 6am- 9pm on Saturday’s and Sunday’s! I regularly come down the beach area and would love if this location opened a bit earlier, on the weekends. Other than that, staff was very friendly and enjoyed the facilities!

This is a great Planet Fitness. The facility itself is huge. It has plenty of cardio and weight equipment to allow you to keep in the flow and not have to wait. It also has very large locker rooms.

Overall this is a very nice, clean location. The gym is generally well managed though sometimes minor routine things such as equipment in need of lubrication are not notices unless staff is notified by a member.

So why the 1 Star review?

My problem is with the music. The gym uses the RockBot App which allows members to request songs they prefer. It works great but unfortunately on many days one PF staff member monopolizes it.

So what is the problem? Well two things:

First, the staff member is being paid to be there and we members are paying to be there. IMO staff should never play songs unless there are no members in the gym using Rockbot to play songs.

Second, and the real problem: Except during the early AM and evening- ie daytime between 10AM and 2PM, the majority of customers using the gym are of the "elderly" type - ie: retired. Unlike most Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha's we strongly dislike RAP, HipHop and any of the sneaky variations of those, and frankly, most of what passes for pop music these days in general.

The staff member in question constantly plays music we cant stand and it really ruins our time at the Gym.

if your a senior considering membership, who doesn't love Rap and HipHop, think twice about joining at this club unless this issue is fixed.

Update: 5/7/2025
The music situation has not changed and the same PF employee continues to monopolize the songs being played. Today I was in the gym for almost 90 minutes and only 1 song I submitted actually played. I appreciate the reply from the owner and I would like to speak with management so please have someone reach out.

The atmosphere at Planet Fitness in Millsboro is awesome. I love the fact that it is diverse. I like the music. The machines are always clean along with the floors. Chris, the gentleman that work there is so polite and professional. He used to be in the early morning shift. We miss him. I hope management places him back to his regular shift soon. I love that it's all age groups. No discrimination at all.

We belonged to a community gym when we lived in NJ. It was expensive $100/month for my husband and I. We loved the social atmosphere but found it too expensive in retirement and distracting to get our workouts done. Planet fitness in Millsboro is a hidden gem, affordable, clean, plenty of space and staff are attentive and friendly. The equipment is state of the art and well maintained. We drive 25 minutes from Lewes because the value is perfect for us. We have gyms in our private community, however they are small and poorly equipped for our needs. Almost don't want to add this post since I want the Millsboro location to remain a best kept secret❤️

I have been going to Planet Fitness since it opened in Millsboro, I originally joined in Pennsylvania, 2 1/2 years ago. I recently had an altercation with a young girl with tattoo, tattoos all over her arms moving at 1000 miles an hour. For the second time, Upon bringing my guest, she told me I had to register her. I said fine let’s do it. She said you have to do it with your app? I said I don’t have my phone. She said well you expired anyway, my membership is on auto pay and has been for 2 1/2 years. When I didn’t understand what she said after her, trying to explain something which didn’t make any sense I had a be wildered look on my face I guess, and she said you’re giving me an attitude. I said really she said yeah you’re making a face. I said well it’s because you’re not making any sense and you’re shaking like a leaf. What are you on drugs and she got very defensive and screamed at the top of her lungs get out of here. I will be contacting upper management about her! I have never had an order with anybody in any of the planet fitness places they’ve all been very kind and very decent but for some reason, this girl had a terrible attitude and shouldn’t be in customer service, especially at the front desk! Other than that, the place is great. I enjoy going there. I like talking to Chris and the other guy which I don’t know his name that’s been my experience.

I'm a Very new, fat user.....Staff seems nice. It's not the cleanest gym but most users wipe down equipment after use. Atmosphere good - not stressful. Con - wish staff was more forthcoming with helping new users learn to use the equipment. Note: I've signed up for their orientation which I hope will help with learning to use equipment. Update, orientation wasn't much because trainer wanted a doctor's note before assisting me. It's all good though.

Great looking gym and the workers are friendly enough. The reason for the 3 stars is their lack of accommodating visitors. My 3 grandkids were up visiting and they wanted to go to the gym. They offered me an option of paying $20 for each kid or I could have updated my membership to a black card that would allow me to have 1 guess. They did say that one of my grandkids could get a membership and that way he could bring in one guest. So we thought about doing that but they needed his bank routing info so no way was that going to happen. So I said the heck with it and probably will be canceling my membership. Being that I'm not a black card member there are certain things that I can't engage in such as the steam rooms. I guess my Medicare membership doesn't pay enough so I would have to pay extra. By the way, I went across the road to PURE FITNESS and I was able to get my 3 grandkids in for $30. Not great but better than Planet Fitness and didn't need a bank routing number. Cash worked

I had to speak up for this gym because the last reviewer on here commented that "it's not the cleanest gym"...I have to completely disagree. This gym is spotless and the staff is constantly cleaning it. There isn't a moment of the day that I don't see a staff member wiping down the equipment, mopping, or vacuuming. I picked this gym because it's so clean! I am a huge germaphobe too. So, I don't know what the last reviewer saw but I've been a member since it opened and it's always spotless when I go which is usually daily. I had to speak up!

Never overcrowded. Every piece of equipment is the newest designs.The biceps machine is particularly spectacular. It has a " Old School " Nautilus style cam. The resistance constantly increases throughout the rep.The pec deck/ rear lateral machine is improved with extra settings for optimum performance. The crossover towers are easier to use with visible numbers for adjustments. Even the handles are better than any of the ten different Planet Fitness locations I have used.

My husband and have been members of PF for years so my experience as we travel is on a comparative measure. The Millsboro PF in DE is like most - in a deserted strip mall. It is a smaller gym but the equipment is new and clean. I generally warm up with a 3-5 mile run and did find that this gym is definitely more warm than any I have been to. I spoke to the young man at the desk, stating that we are travelers and compared to other PF gyms -this gym is warm. His response was that the temperature is monitored on line and he could not adjust it. Most of the staff are young and I’m unsure if there is an experienced manager available at this gym. We have been going to this facility for about 3 weeks and they are frequently training new staff as well as cleaning equipment during the day. Given its small size there can be lines at all machines therefore I suggest if possible go during “off” hours. All people using this gym should continue to mention that the temperature is not conducive to working out and hopefully they will rectify this problem.

So I went to PF on Saturday at, I read the times wrong. I have been there the last few nights, my husband and I enjoy the time together. We'll, I go Sunday at 6:40 pm, because they are open till 9, right? Wrong...they decided to close early because tomorrow is a holiday. We're the the posts or the signs on the door to let us know. I drive one half hour there and a half hour back. Gas isn't cheap...After this I am considering canceling my membership before the year payment can come out

I've been to PF in Dover, Milford and Christiana and this is by far my favorite. It's clean, like you actually see employees cleaning while you are there. I also like that employees greet you when you come in and often by name.

Signed up for this gym today and I’ve got to say I enjoyed my experience a lot. Definitely beats pure family fitness across the street. Back then I was going to pure family fitness but their equipment is terrible and I got tired of going there so I decided to switch to planet fitness and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!!!! If you enjoy working out on the equator by all means join this gym. They were saying the heat was broke and but now they are just saying the extreme hot is “peoples” comfort level. A gym should not be hot and dry!!! The gym also started out clean but now the paper towels are always empty and the bathrooms floors are never swept. I can deal with a messy gym but the heat is just too much! The staff just doesn’t care.

I am loving this gym and getting a lot out of it. However. One of the machines in the 30 minute workout area (leg curl) has been out of service for more than two weeks, I think that's too long. I was devastated to find we don't have an infrastructure red booth. Only hybrid. I don't want a tan and be aging, I want the infra red for tissue healing cell regeneration. The vibrating floor!! I think we should petition for the infrared with floor vibration! Milford I'd not convenient for me.

It's a solid 4 star gym. It's brand new and has many machines. Plenty of cardio equipment is at the front. They offer hybrid tanning and hydro massage for back members. When I first joined the gym was too cold which was not good if you like to sweat. The temp seems better now. There's a decent crowd around 5pm when I go but there's more than enough machines with the exception of the fly machine ... Only one fly machine ??? Seriously every gym I've been to has 2 or 3. They need another because it's always in use. This is a new gym so there's some workmanship quality issues. It leaks and I mean it leaks a lot! It leaks at the back of the gym near the stretching machines and by the elliptical and treadmill machines and a few other small leaks. When I got in the last shower before the handicapped shower in the men's bathroom the knob kept moving making the shower hotter. One other thing about this gym is there is no towel service or sauna. I really miss having towel service. You'll have to bring your own towel or buy one but beware the towels are overly expensive. You can get a 3 towel from Walmart it's the same quality. It'll be a 5 if they fix the shower and the leaks and add towel service.

So here is my review on Millsboro planet fitness so far . I use to go to Seaford and still do on weekends But I thought that since Millsboro is on my way home from work it would be great to stop there and I have . I hold two black card memberships and enjoy all the perks that come with it . on the good side Millsboro has a little more equipment then Seaford it is also larger and that is great but the not so great is some of the staff . I do know that they were trained over in Seaford but they did not take that training with them when they left the building . The staff over in Seaford are on the ball the place is always being cleaned the bathrooms are spotless and they pride themselves on it . Seaford staff is top notch . Millsboro not so much . The place is already dirty you very rarely see them clean mostly leaning on the counter . Some are friendly others not so much The girl work during the day NY day really needed to get her stuff together . The bathrooms are kept cold maybe so they do not have to sanitize the showers who knows why it is 60 some degrees in there . This place is in a prime location and could be super nice but they really need to step it up or I will go back to Seaford because the way it is going now this place will be a hole in the wall in six months I am really hoping they work things out because I really do enjoy planet fitness but you need to get the staff up to how they were trained by the staff at Seaford and I watched them being trained so I do know they are not living up to planet fitness standards .

I've been waiting months for this gym to open and it was worth the wait! I tried out every single machine. They're all brand new and very comfortable. I was hoping to find a Leverage Leg Curl machine (the kind where you lay face down on your stomach) but, they did not have one. Hopefully they will add one in the future, as it was my favorite machine at my previous gym! There's more than enough there though to suit anyones needs. It's laid out nicely and has an inviting vibe. I especially loved all the televisions, free weights, refillable water station and big clean locker rooms and showers. Also, all the staff were friendly and had smiles, but one staff member named Nick stood out in particular. He was eager to greet me, helped me find my way around, and I saw him dusting and wiping down the machines throughly for guest to enjoy a clean environment. I can tell he takes real pride in his job. It's the kind of experience I was hoping to have here on opening day and I look forward to having many more and seeing Planet Fitness and the team daily! Thank you!
